Went in around 5 on a Friday and we got sat immediately. The service was fine and the food was good. We got the short rib which didn't have much mushrooms which was disappointing the oysters were fresh, the steak was tender and drained and the potatoes were good.

We had not eaten in a long time that day. We were looking for a quick dinner option. We were in Rockefeller Center and this restaurant was right in front of us. Menu looked good and it had just opened so we sat down here. The bread for the table was really good. The Baked French Onion soup was beyond excellent. Highly recommend. I got the prime rib dip and that was also insanely good and I would 100% recommend it.

Ambiance: reminds me of old school Hollywood bar that you would see in the movies. Very grand and fun busy vibe. Service: we were at the bar and had awesome service. Food: we came for the VIP cocktail which is legendary!!! I had to have 2. This was on our way to dinner. Definitely stop in and get this VIP cocktail...pineapple martini!!!!!

    $25 IT Girl Dinner
    Dilenia A.

Went yesterday afterwork and a long stressful week and try this IT girl dinner and was a bit disappointed because the pasta was lukewarm at its best, the truffle fries, you can tell they were reheated, the caesar salad was good, for $25, you couldn't go wrong, just don't go expecting it to be nice and warm, as for the drink, I took the espresso martini and that was good. The bartender that took our order was obnoxious, when we placed our order, he wouldn't put the order in if we didn't give him a card and he was so rude and obnoxious about it, he made it seem like we were going to runaway. The ladies that were sitting next to me, we engaged in conversation about his obnoxiousness.

Came for a work lunch on a slow Monday due to the holiday weekend. Asked to be seated at a more quiet table so they sat us at the large round booth closest to the bathrooms. While it was quiet, service definitely suffered as a result. Felt like our server forgot us back there and we had to flag down help from other servers and runners multiple times. We shared a few apps to start. Calamari was good - had a nice kick to it. I was not a fan cheesesteak rolls - very heavy. The tuna tartare tacos were average. For my main I had the steakhouse salad. Very tasty and filling - good amount of steak for the pricetag. The dressing it comes with is very thick. I got it on the side and barely used any of it. Also got a couple desserts. The lemon cake was a huge slice and just average. The Nutella bread pudding didn't taste Nutella at all. Was also harder than a traditional bread pudding. wasn't bad - just tasted more like a dark chocolate brookie vs bread pudding.

    Femme fatale = excellent

Well the bar was hopping and filet mignon was absolutely delish! Drinks were on point (get the femme fatale). Where they lose points was service (servers mixed up a couple items and got notably short with us after we pointed it out). Would also pass on the Caesar salad and desserts.

Went for the "Girl dinner " and it didn't disappoint! One of the best dirty martinis I've had in quite some time. I'd definitely return!

Dinner before a show is such a vibe in NYC. Especially when you dine not to far from your theatre. We came to Del Frisco's expecting to be wowed however the food and service was just ok. The hosts were friendly, the waiter was knowledgeable but each moved like they were on autopilot. We ordered apps (lump crab cake and cesear salad) the salad was fresh crisp and the right amount of dressing. The crab cake was delightful, the sauce they paired it with was chef kiss! I wished they added a little corn slaw.. Our ribeyes were cooked to tempature and seasoned to perfection, flavor in every bite. The sides were just that..sides we could do without. The mac and cheese was salty, lobster chewy, and cheese sauce watery. The mash potatoes were ok and the loaded bake potato was meh. The atomephere was very buissness casual and the resturant packs up quickly after 5.

We got a reservation and told them our name and they sat us right down without a wait. We sat down at our table and was amazed at the view! You could see the trees and buildings all lit up which also tells you how beautiful nyc is around Christmas time. The waiter was very attentive and walked over to us right away!!! We ordered our drinks and they came out in a snap of a finger!!! They also served us bread that was sweet but very good . ( we didn't order it ) we got our food in 5-10 minutes, and in a place that busy, it was faster than ever . We happily ate and shared our dinners. Best place to eat in nyc by faaarrrr. It is fancy , too 5 stars all the way, no complaints here Also we forgot to take pics before we ate. I'm sorry but just know it looked a lot nicer before we dug in

I worked in midtown for 10 years and never made it to Del Frisco's Grille and after last night's cocktails and dinner, have major regrets I didn't get there sooner. It's such a convenient location, big bar, great service and delicious bites. I came for the "it girl dinner" offer and still can't believe how good of a deal it was. A full size cocktail and more than enough food that I couldn't even eat all the pasta for $25 (yes, $25). We also started with the grilled artichoke app which really was the star of the show. If you're looking to catch up and tap with your bestie, this is the vibe (and best yet you don't need to scream to hear each other). Already planning my next visit back!

8oz Filet Mignon with garlic truffle butter
    Kent V.

The food was delicious but the service could use some improvement. We were taken to a table and wasn't asked for our order until 15 mins after sitting down. The waiter was apologetic and said it got super busy. My 8oz filet mignon was cooked to my liking. Delicious and a tender piece of steak. I added the garlic butter ($7) to it which was great but super overpriced. I think multiple people can share 1 garlic butter for future reference. The truffle man n cheese was really good. So was the loaded bake potato. I would say their sides are big enough for 2-3 to share. Overall, I expected more for this kind of restaurant. I would choose another steak house next time.

    Salmon
    Sabrina U.

Wonderful food and service! Had a holiday dinner here with my team so was happily able to try more items than I would have thought to order. Sad to say I only got a picture of the salmon but happy to say it was delicious! We started with the oysters, salmon poke roll, tuna tartare, dynamite shrimp, and best of all, THICK CUT NEUSKE'S BACON. If you choose one appetizer, choose the bacon!!! Glazed to sweet and savory perfection. For sides to our steaks and fish, we ended up ordering a few potato varieties: truffle twice baked, loaded baked, and truffle fries. I'm a lover of truffle so highly recommend the truffle twice baked. The mushrooms, creamed corn, and broccolini were other excellent side dishes. For dessert, GET THE BUTTER CAKE. A simple flavor they have mastered.

Braised Short Rib! Very tasty! We both liked the flavor combination!

We showed up and the place was buzzing with a line out the door. I checked in at the podium and hostess said table will be ready in 5 minutes. 2 minutes later, we the hostess to our table. Looking around everything was the old classic/stereotypical ideas of a what a great steakhouse should be and it did not disappoint. Sal was our waiter, he was friendly, professional and one look we could tell we were in the more than capable hands and nothing would be amiss. He told us about the specials, lunch or dinner menu options. The other wait staff worked like a team that has been together for years, checking on everyone in our section, delivering our orders, refilling our glasses, answering questions, bussing our table everyone with smooth and practiced motions. 2 Caesar salads, 1 8 oz filet w/baked potato, 1 surf and turf w/broccoli everything cooked and presented to perfection. For dessert, the legendary cheesecake with coffee and the baked Alaska. It was the perfect ending to a great meal. In this restaurant the waiters make everyone feel important and special and maybe it's a little pricey but it's New York and they have been around for a really long time so they knew what they are doing and are doing it GREAT.

The crab cake and stuffed shrimp were very good also but not quite as good as the steak. The ambiance of the whole vibe reminds me of an old movie, where important people from all walks of life go to have a good meal. Our servers where top notch also, If I had to nitpick, I would confess the Mac & Cheese was a little dry and lacked flavor. The bone-in ribeye steak was just ok (dry-aged, bone-in ribeye was tough and gristly with a lot of sinew in my cut - unexpected for a good cut of what should be well-marbled meat). Asparagus on the greasy side. Lavender creme brulée was good, though, really could taste the lavender hint over the creamy custard with just the right hint of a crunchy sugar melted on top. I came here for dinner post showtime and my son and I over ordered but happily enjoyed everything. I think our eyes are way bigger than our stomachs. Starters: - French onion soup, au gratin, was perfect. Great onion profile and lots of it. Not overly salty so that was good. - Beef tartare, classic French bistro staple, must order this. The portion was quite generous and it was delicious. We couldn't stop eating it. The petite toasts were a nice accompaniment as well as the raddiccio salad - cheese board, IYKYK, I never met a cheese I didn't like. This board was matched with nice pairings. Think grapes, fig jam, and marcona almonds. The cheese were a classic French variety - bleu, comte and brie. For our entrees, my son opted for a sandwich and I got the steak. His croque Madame was really delicious. The bread, the ham, the baked cheese and the fried egg was so savory. Yummy. My steak was a sizeable portion but I purposely ordered the bigger ounces since I know we'd share. Fries are nice and skinny, perfectly seasoned. Our waiter was attentive and I asked for the table next to us given all the food I know we were getting. He was not sure if he could accommodate but I insisted he check with management. They came over and put it together for me. I appreciated that given a table for two, for how much we ordered, it'd never fit. Totally would return.
