I came in as a walk-in and since it wasn't busy, the service was quick. Tom did my pedicure, and he was great. I had just come from the gym and was wearing shorts, and he thoughtfully placed a towel over my legs, which immediately made me feel more comfortable. He was very gentle while still paying close attention to what I wanted. The environment was calm and quiet, which made the experience even better. Dropped in this place, it was referred by my barber next door. The service was good. I loved that they actually did a pedicure with enough hot water. Most places do warm water while I'm OK with nice hot water to soften the soles. I opted for the green tea jelly treatment. A nice little calf massage went along with it. They are priced reasonable and got the job done. They have a frequent punch card system also the more you come then you get discounts on future treatments. Update - again. The charge that was made on my Mom's card was not for Nice Star Nails but for a place just listed as "a spa". The owners did contact me about this but there's really nothing to be done since Chase blocked the charge. It's just very strange that the card was new and never used anywhere besides Nice Star Nails and then all of a sudden a fake charge shows up 10 days later. We have no proof of where the card was compromised but my mom is 82, doesn't shop online and had the card in her possession at all times except when using it for our pedicures. The owner at Nice Star Nails was very concerned about this and I'm sure would not knowingly let anything happen that's not legal. So I stand by my original review - the salon is nice and clean and our pedicures were fine. read more

I found this place after having a horrible experience at another nail shop. My nails were so damaged and looked terrible. My first encounter with this spot was as a walk in, but there was a wait because they are so good, they have many customers! They do accept walk ins, but I suggest making an appointment because they are busy. I have never seen this nail salon empty. I found Tommy who saved my nails. After a few visits with him, my nails are healthy again and I'm so thankful! If you call, the phone is answered in a courteous manner, they have always been able to schedule me in at a time convenient for me, the space is clean, so many colors and options to choose from, you can also show them nail inspo pics and they can make it happen on your nails!! I will not be going anywhere else! This is my new nail stop shop! Go get yourself a mani and pedi! You deserve it!! read more

The new owners of Nice Star Nails, Tom and Nina are two of the worst nail techs and rudest people I've ever met. I've been getting my nails done here for 5 years, with Anna, the last owner, and Natalie who have both stopped working since. I called to schedule appointment with Nina who was so rude on the phone, and asked for a french pedicure with Tom. I came in the next day and waited 50 minutes for Tom to finish with another client. I then asked Tom shape my nails square and not to cut them. He then proceeded to cut them, so both my big toes are uneven, one long and square and the other short and round. When I called him out on it, he laughed and giggled in my face. He then, spent 30 minutes free-handing the ugliest most uneven french I've ever gotten, and charged $20 for adding the french (one layer of white polish btw) to my $30 regular pedicure. Tom, if you're reading this, take your wife back home and give the place back to Anna, you suck. read more

Got the most amazing pedicure from Anthony! No cut cuticles! He was gentle, yet firm with my calloused (mostly always barefoot) feet. Had the most incredible calf & foot massage I've ever had and I get pedi's 4-6 times per year. PLUS 10% discount for birthday MONTH! My nails ending up okay (I provided a picture of what i wanted vs what i got), but they service? horrible. I paid for myself and my cousin, the total for our mani pedis was $228, they have flyers around the store saying you can get 10% off your service if it is your birthday month and all you need to do is show ID, it's my birthday month so I showed my ID and asked for the discount. 10% off of $228 is $205 but he made me pay $218 claiming it's the right amount AND made us tip. Not only this, through our time here they were very dismissive of us and when people walked in after us, getting mani pedis just like my cousin and i, they were offered water bottles and spoken to with a kinder, more upbeat tone, while my cousin and i were not offered water and were treated like a bother. To add onto this, when I asked for the total of the services, they told me it would be $228, then proceeded laughed in my face as if I wouldn't be able to afford it. My cousin and I also witnessed a black women walk into the salon and patiently wait for someone to talk to her but everyone just looked up and didn't say anything, after she left not even a minute after a white women walked in and they were quick to say hello to her and ask her what she would like. My cousin and I are two black women and we experienced different treatment than what the white women in the salon were treated. Never coming back here again. read more

I had a great experience yesterday at the salon. It was my first time, I came in-- hand sanitizer is the first step, temperature checks immediately, and plexiglass between stations. They definitely have taken measures to make everyone feel safe. With that, I loved my nails-- I had an acrylic gel fill. My artist took great care, time and efforts to make sure I was content with my nails and happy with the service. Great experience! read more

Christine saved me today with a last minute appointment to remove some god awful nails I received from another salon. She was efficient yet very detailed. I'm very impressed with the nails I got. She replicated a picture I brought in and did exactly what I needed. I don't typically get my nails done except for this special occasion (my wedding) but I will definitely be back. Make an appointment if you can! I just moved into the area, and luckily my friend and i came in the morning, bc they were booked solid the rest of the afternoon. I had my nails dipped, and my friend got shellac. Both our technicians were kind, didn't hurt when they filed or cut cuticles, and were sanitary (wore face masks too). The shop was also clean. After the manicures, we sat to get our pedicures. I would not recommend. The guy who did my french nails cut them crooked. The gel is already coming off and it looks smeared, plus he cut them way too short to where it hurt...
