In an area where HVAC companies have less than good reps, these folks are great. We have had 3 experiences with them and each one has been handled professionally and efficiently. Staff is friendly and helpful. Each time the tech explained the issue and the repair in terms the lay person can understand. Our first encounter with them was in 12/2013 providing a second opinion on recommended repairs by another provider. Having an American Home Shield contract on the place, you get luck of the draw unless you request a particular company in their network. The first company recommended nearly $1300 worth of non covered repairs along with what they were billing AHS for. Nice Air tech found a small issue repaired it and we had air. Our second encounter was a quick fix to a heating problem in 2/2014 during a cold spell. Quick, efficient and professional. We had a maintenance contract with an non AHS provider who found some issues last week. Called AHS and requested Nice Air do the work. Tech came out today, while we were not there as this is a second home. Did the work, fixed the problem, called me and told me what it was. Our current maintenance contract was up in two weeks, we switched this morning to Nice Air. We can call them directly and they will handle the claim with AHS. It is pleasant to work with a company that values their customers and takes care of business in such a manner. If you need HVAC work in the Sarasota area, these guys deserve your business. read more

Our semi-annual A/C maintenance visit was yesterday and Nice Air sent Carlos again to make sure our system is ready for the summer to keep us cool again. Carlos arrived on time and was friendly and professional in appearance and actions. He promptly went to work cleaning the unit outside and checking all of the many things he needed to check to make sure the compressor and everything was working properly. He then came inside and checked the air handler, replaced a sensor that the water drain line is blocked and made sure everything was working fine. Then he installed a new wifi digital thermostat and made sure we were aware of how it functions and that the entire system is working fine and ready for summer. And he did all of this is great time and in a very professional manner. Nice Air has been our go to air conditioning service for several years. They have done our semi-annual contracted service and have ALWAYS come promptly when we have had an issue. We HIGHLY recommend Nice Air to take care of your air conditioner system! read more

Nice Air has been servicing our A/C for quite awhile. Carlos does an exceptional job to ensure everything is in optimum operation. He and his assistant go beyond the just checking thing out but also cleans all electrical connections, check for duct leaks and ensures we know of possible conditions that may be needing attention in the near future. Never a hard sell just plain good service. I also had them replace my old A/C sanitization system with the RFG Guardian Halo system. I believe in these systems and can actually notice the difference in my breathing and my pets breathing. Well worth the investment. Also, it prevents mold buildup in the A/C system which many home warranty plans will not cover if present. I highly recommend Nice Air for your maintenance needs. read more

We've used Nice Air for the past 7 years for semi-annual checkups for our heating and A/C. They have ALWAYS been prompt, professional and courteous in addition to always getting the job done and at a fair price. We recently purchased a new A/C unit from nice air as are old one was 17 years old and on it's last leg. The installation was timely and the house cooled nicely. However after only a day the unit began making loud clanking noises about 20 times a day when the unit would shut down from the cooling cycle. I contacted the owner, Rick, who is a very conscience owner about the problem and he personally came to our home to hear for him self and wouldn't you know it the thing wouldn't clang for him. So I sat outside waiting for it to happen and it did. I recorded the noise and Rick transferred my recording to his phone and sent it off to the manufacturer. Very soon thereafter a solution was recommended by the manufacturer and Nice Air installed a new part. This eliminated all the noise problem!! Nice Air is an excellent company who will never leave a customer in the dark If there was a 6 star rating I'd give it to them. I'll never use anyone else. read more

This is my first review on Yelp, it's actually one of my first reviews online ever. I was extremely impressed by Nice Air and their AC technician Carlos. I called them for a regular check up. Carlos was extremely knowledgeable and he explained to me every single thing he was doing. I actually learned a lot of interesting things about my system thanks to him. What was even more impressive was the fact he didn't try to sell me anything. My system is pretty old but he was extremely honest and he told me it was in really good shape and it didn't need any repairs. He also added some refrigerant and he replaced some small cables. When it came time to pay, he didn't want a penny. Since I was a new customer, it was their way to gain my trust. Well, I guess they found a new customer and I will definitely refer them to all the people I know. read more

Great company to work with. They respond quickly and do a great job. I had a complete system put in a year ago. Had an issue recently. Service tech came out but didn't see the problem immediately. Took the time to dig further and found a small fuse that hadn't been upgraded when new unit was put in. He switched it out and owned the fact that it was an oversight when new unit was installed. There was no charge. Companies are run by humans and all occasionally make mistakes. This was a small one but it is so refreshing when people own it. (A rare thing these days!) Air conditioning went out. First place called was Nice. Friendly reception on phone. Came the same day! Nice! Will call you again if needed!

Nice air came to service our air conditioner because it would run but not blow the cool air into the house. They replaced the blower motor and all was fine. Less than 10 months later, that brand new motor has stopped working. When we called Nice Air, they refused to come to the house without charging a service fees and are refusing to warranty the item that they replaced even though their receipt states they will. The item has a 1 year warranty. They are now telling us that we will have to pay for the whole thing all over again. When questioned on their warranty the man on the phone became very nasty and unprofessional. He repeated to us how it is not warranted and proceeded to hang up. I would never again do business with this company. read more

I have been a devoted customer of Nice Air for well over ten years, as they truly have earned my trust. Upon a co-worker's recommendation, I initially hired Rick Yates' team for our business office after two other service companies had completely let us down. Six months into the trial period with Nice Air I was happy to sign for an annual maintenance contract, and then renewing year-after-year. During the interim, I began using Nice Air for my personal home service needs, and continued our relationship by extending to my rental properties. I have always found their technicians to be polite, courteous and knowledgeable... also, clean and tidy when performing their annual inspections, routine maintenance, and any necessary repairs. They are quick to respond when near-emergency service is needed, and have saved me money by routinely offering options. Late last year they installed all new equipment - inside air handler and outside new compressor - seamlessly all in one day. They are A+++ in my book, and I highly recommend them in any case.
