On Saturday 6/19/17 I awoke to my house warm and muggy! I changed the air filter and messed around with the thermostat but got nothing to work. After looking at the reviews I called Green Cooling Solutions. They advertise not sending someone over who is paid by commission and I felt like if anybody, I could trust them. In the past I had a shotty company that said I needed a new system, which I did not. I got a text message from their system when they were one their way. When they arrived, I had the best experience! Daniel came in my home and knew what was wrong within just a few minutes. He cleaned some pipe out and my air was on again! He cleaned up, went over a few things I should look for in the future and emailed me the receipt from his tablet. Very professional. Found them on here and decided to call them because they had Sunday service . Called the office and the tech on call called me in less than 15 minutes. He was at my house in less than 2 hours after the service call . Replaced a bad capacitor on my unit and had me up and running in an hour and a half. Tonight (Saturday night) our air conditioner stopped working. I called Green Cooling Solutions and somebody answered the phone right away. Not only that, I had a technician at my house in less than an hour. When the air condition tech arrived he was very nice. He was very efficient and explained everything that he was checking. In a very short time the technician knew exactly what was wrong with our air conditioner. He I had the parts to fix the air conditioner condenser on the spot (that's what was wrong with it)! I was so impressed by the professionalism and politeness of the AC tech. I definitely would recommend this company to anybody. We had been using another company to service our HVAC system for several years and were very happy with their work. When our compressor began to fail last March, we called them to get a quote on a new system. Their salesperson came out and gave us a quote and I had pretty much decided to go with them. I checked Yelp and a couple of other sites to get another quote from a second company and Green Cooling looked like the best one around (along with the company we had been using). Chris came out from Green Cooling and was so much more informative (and friendly) than the previous fellow, and quoted us essentially the same price on the same Lennox HVAC that we decided to go with Green Cooling. The installation went without any problems and the system worked fine for a couple of weeks and then it stopped cooling one afternoon. I turned it off, set up an appointment with Green Cooling for the next day. When I turned the system on the next morning it was working fine again and I canceled the appointment. Over the next ten days or so, this happened several more times, but since it always started working again, I wasn't sure that a service call would find a problem. I finally called Green Cooling and explained what was going on and they had Mike, the owner, call me. We spoke for at least a half hour on the phone and discussed the problem. He couldn't have been more concerned and helpful. He said he would send one of his best analysts out the next day. Naturally, the system was working fine when Ryan came out and he spent a couple of hours checking all the various parts of the system in a very thorough manner. He was about to leave saying to call back when it stopped working and just leave it running without cooling and they would get out there. Just as he was about to leave, it stopped cooling so he could then determine the problem. He determined that the capacitor was faulty in such a way that it would not work properly every once in a while. He replaced the capacitor with a better one than the one that came with the new Lennox system, mentioned that the company had had that problem once before, and the system has been working great ever since. I cannot imagine working with a better company than Green Cooling. I know they would never have left us with a system that wasn't working and I particularly thank Chris, Mike, and Ryan for their concern and effort. Very knowledgeable and professional. Showed up when they said, knew what they were doing, and were under the competitive bids I got for an A/C system replacement. They even took an extremely old and obsolete multi-zone controller board in stride and figured out what needed to be done (something that other companies weren't able to do). We use Green Cooling at a property I manage and they were installing a new A/C on property the same day my home A/C decided to stop working. We just bought our home last June and this was my first time using them at my home. I called and I have to say Carol, Michelle, and Lita are all great to deal with. I was given a time for Casey to come to my house (same day) but in the meantime I was given some things to check all of which unfortunately did not work. Casey arrived and within 30 seconds had figured out my issue. Casey got me up and running, my part was under warranty (luckily) and he ordered the new part and they are coming back to install it. We had a terrific experience tonight with Anthony, who was professional, friendly, and able to communicate our issues easily. Anthony called us back after less than five minutes, and was here less than 20 minutes later. We couldn't figure out why our heat wasn't coming on - how often do you need it in Florida, anyway? We worried that might be part of the problem as we hadn't had to turn the heat on since we've lived here. Anthony showed us that the issue was our dehumidistat, something we were not familiar with as new homeowners. He took the time to explain to us what it did and how to use it, and advised us as to best practices with the mechanism. Daniel came out to look at my unit. I assumed it was toast and we needed a new unit, our old one was 12 years old. Daniel came in and tried two different strategies to get the old unit running, neither worked, he then put the fluid in and it worked. He gave me options, I could spend $700 on repairs that could potentially last all summer or a week, there was a leak but not in an area he could find. He quoted me a new unit after asking some questions. Then get this - he stayed while I called other AC companies to compare the quote. YES, he stayed at my house while I called other companies to compare prices. Daniel told me I wouldn't find a better price because Green techs do not receive commission so their quotes are typically lower. To be exact, they were $500- $1,500 lower than the other quotes I received. Needless to say we moved forward with the new unit. After Daniel left and we signed the agreement, Carol called me to verify the install appointment and then advised me she was going to apply for a $300 rebate for me, I had to do NOTHING. She talked to me about humidity and my options, not once trying to sell me anything. They are even allowing me to purchase my own Nest during Black Friday so I can save money and are going to come back to install for me! So the install went smooth and they were so clean. I honestly forgot they were here. My dog wasn't even bothered with them which is a big deal. They even added plywood to make sure my new unit leaned forward because the builders put in cheap pressed board and it had moved. I must say, I am VERY particular and avoid sales people at all cost. I hate listening to a spill and stuff that doesn't apply to me. During this entire process I feel that everyone was focused on what I needed to know, what I was interested in and how to receive the most efficient use of my air conditioner. Daniel was AWESOME and I really appreciated him, he was patient, kind and answered my every question! I am very happy and appreciate the honesty from Green Cooling. Very professional and quick to respond, we have also appreciated the detailed text updates and interactive proposal when we needed to replace a system. I have used this company dozens of times for multiple homes and businesses over the last few years. In fact, their honesty and integrity as a company are what made me continue to recommend them to clients and even colleagues. I no longer stand by this. They have fallen into the same type of deceptive business practice as many other AC companies. I am unsure if they have switched management or even ownership, but this is not the same company I trusted. Today they were called out for preventative maintenance. The AC worked perfectly fine this AM. In fact, this unit had just been serviced by an experienced technician that they employ 2 weeks prior. It was that representative that told us we were past due for our preventative maintenance and who encouraged us to set it up. Once the technician, Jacalyn Dobberstein, arrived, who has only worked for this company for less than 3 months and had no prior experience in this field, the unit mysteriously stopped working. She did NOT ask my husband for approval of any work that she was doing prior. Rather installed what she thought it needed, charged us for it, and then when it still did not work, had the boss come over. 3 hours later and over $200 later, turns out, she was not accurate on her diagnosis. I understand standing behind your employees but come on, this time the customer was right, you lost a patron. We will never use your services again. read more

He definitely knows his business, laid out my options, shared his thoughts on efficiency and systems, while providing NO pressure or urgency. On the day of my install, Mike arrived with the three men to do the job, each more pleasant and polite than the other. They were so respectful, very professional and worked well together, despite the over 100 degree temperatures they were in while working in the attic. Our AC system was leaking water via a small crack in the drip pan. The company we'd been working with for several years said it would need to be replaced, for upwards of a thousand dollars. We decided to call around for a second opinion. Mike came out and said, "Let me try to just fix this crack." And he did, in a few minutes. The pan might eventually need to be replaced, but he saved us big money now. We have officially changed HVAC companies. The fact that Green Cooling techs don't get commissions ensures that they have no incentive to upsell you on stuff you might not need, and no incentive to jack up prices. read more

I've had other air conditioning companies out to my place and I felt like I was getting ripped off. They always found something wrong and, of course, they had to keep coming back to do more repairs. I didn't feel that way when Green Cooling came to my place. The technician was a down to earth type of guy. He told us what needed to be repaired and when we didn't understand his diagnosis, he explained it in another way that was understandable. Not sure how to rate them, because of a strange experience. I had them install a mini-split, which they priced competitively and installed quickly and efficiently. Then I called for an after-hours repair on our other, main AC unit. Again, they were quick and efficient. But I was surprised by the repair bill, which was $328 for a 30-minute visit and (what I knew was) a $30 part. Of that, the call-out fee was $109, which seems reasonable after hours - which left $219 for 30 minutes labor and a $30 part. I called them on it because I thought they might have mis-priced the part. But they would not discuss part prices or labor rates, insisting that they rely on "industry norms", and made it clear that, because of their superior service, I should not be questioning the cost. In the end, they refunded me $100, but advised me to go elsewhere for service in the future. Really?? I agree, their service is quick and efficient. But we're not allowed to question cost? Bottom line: if you don't care about cost, then I can recommend this company, because they are quick and efficient. read more
