ALECO installed a new Trane HVAC system 2 years ago. New units are only the beginning of living in Florida. Proper maintenance and reviewing systems are essential to a comfortable and secure lifestyle. Alex came for our annual maintenance. He found a capacitor that wasn't at full capacity. It was replaced at no cost under warranty. He also ran vinegar on the drain line and replaced our filter which required a latter. We were always extremely happy with Aleco but now that it has merged with Elevate we are extremely disappointed. We placed a call for a 4 year old air conditioner with a 5 year warranty on Friday as it is not cooling at all and the house is extremely hot. We were told that they would come on Saturday and now they say they cannot come until Monday. Aleco was open 24/7 and would have been here Sunday if they couldn't have mad it on Saturday. We were very impressed with our brand new HVAC system and Alec who made sure that everything worked well. We had one issue a day later but Alec came to sort it out. The reason for the two star rating is that Alec had said they would come back a year later to do a routine service. We called them after a year and was told they will not honor the routine service because they will not come to Venice any longer. I requested maintenance on our roof unit. They came out promptly and informed me that the unit was a block of ice and not working at all and we would need a new unit at the cost of around $35000.00. This was a bit of a surprise because the unit is blowing cold air and working fine. Our landlord was informed and had another company come inspect the unit. They informed us that the unit was old, but working fine. They also showed us that no maintenance had been done to the unit at all. IE drain stilled clogged, coils still very dirty. We paid for a service did not receive said service and lied too about the condition of the unit. when I spoke with the owner I was basically told to F myself. My AC stopped working and I went to yelp and got 7-8 quotes - most companies want to get on the phone or their first availability is a Monday... not ALEX. Aleco AC sold us a new AC in 2022 and did a great job initially. We had problems with the AC keeping the temp where it was set during the summer. We continued to have problems, but at a point Aleco threatened to remove the unit and leave. When we agreed to remove it, they then refused to do such. Please be careful! read more

This morning I was told by another company that I needed two new AC units. The salesman told me the cost would be $31,000. When he saw I wasn't pleased he started lowering the price and we ended up at $18,000. I just didn't feel right with someone that wanted to make that type of profit off of me. Our Air Conditioner was 20 years old and was not keeping up with the setpoint. We got an inspection from ALECO and the whole inside of the Air Handler was heavily corroded/molded and in need of replacement. Alex came out and showed us the problem and offered to get us a quote which we did. We scheduled it for two days from the inspection and two servicemen came out and worked hard the whole day to replace the old Air handler and the Heat exchanger outside. Two more people arrived to help clean up the old parts and put them on a trailer to haul off. Alex showed up near the end to help me understand home the new unit worked. It was all hands on deck and everyone had a role but it was done and looking nice in one day. The Trane a/c unit works great, it has a UV light in it to kill mold and a surge protector to protect the unit when it lightenings. It seems much more efficient and dehumidifys the air in the house. All in all, it was a good professional experience, and they sent us a box of filters to help keep it clean. I would use them again if I needed a/c service. read more

I've got to agree with the other reviews here. I had the exact same experience. I came home from a short vacation during this record setting heat wave to find my AC out and the INSIDE of my house was 92 degrees. I replaced a capacitor. No luck. Then I called ALECO because they had great reviews. They answered my call on a Saturday morning, had John out immediately to diagnose the problem, and a crew with a new AC unit showed up in the afternoon. We have been with another AC company since 2006 and received great service until about 6-9 months ago when they were bought out by a conglomerate. Since then their service has not been very good. We paid for a monthly contact to get quick service when we had any problems with our Air conditioning and Heating yet the past 2 times we needed them to come out when we had problems with our AC or Heating it has taken over 48 hours to get service. The last time this happened was yesterday when we came home from a trip to no heat. It got down to 43 last night so we called Aleco who we have never used before. They came to fix our heater within 5 hours. They were great! They came quickly and diagnosed the problem and fixed it within 30 minutes. We want to change our allegiance to them but unfortunately we have a warranty with the other company. As soon as that is over, we're changing to Aleco. My air conditioner was 25 years old and suddenly stopped in the middle of the night. I looked up Aleco because a friend of mine told me about them and they had an A+ at the better business bureau. I called four companies to give me quotes. Aleco came in at $2,000 less than the lowest quote I got...and their quote had more items in it than the most expensive quote I received!! I interacted with Alex as well as an installer and a technician, which were all extremely kind and passant to work with. They unexpectedly upgraded my air conditioner to a better one when ordering it without raising the price. Alex provided me with outstanding communication and service. After the installation was over I had a problem with learning how to use the thermostat - they sent a technician over on the same day, in the evening, to go through it with me. This is truly an A+ company, my only complaint is that they don't do plumbing, electrical and flooring too! read more

My technician, John, was on time friendly & professional. The final price of the repair was reasonable & fair based on other repairs I've had on this & other AC systems I've had in the past. The analysis & repair was done in a short period of time and within an hour we had cold air coming out of the AC vents. They were able to come the same day that I called, where as others wanted to put me off for a day or two & wanted more money. So, we didn't have to endure lack of air conditioning for 2 or 3 days & nights in this time of hot & humid weather. Our experience with Aleco AC was outstanding. We hired Aleco to check our home AC system before the summer heat. Their tech John arrived on time. I followed him through the inspection. He gave me excellent info about all aspects our systems performance. After this inspection, we we told that while our system is about 13 years old, it was in good operating condition. No upsell or scare tactics to sell us a new AC system. John gave me good advice about owner maintenance for our system. Alex and his team are AMAZING - they went above and beyond what anyone else would ever do for us!!!! I happened to find them by google search and these other 5 star reviews are exactly the same experience we had. Alex price matched the lowest quote I had gotten with upgraded and better equipment. Not only that but I needed an a/c unit replaced urgently and the guys literally started the job the day I called. He also identified a few other issues we had and took care of them for a minimal amount. This a/c unit was for a vacation rental so I wasn't even in Florida at the time but the communication with Alex & team was great - he sent pictures of the progress and kept me up to speed. We had renters at the time who weren't happy with the situation so Alex gave them a Visa gift card for their troubles!!!! No one else would EVER do something like this. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!
