We switched as did 10 of our neighbors in our 29 unit complex. Manatee Air has better prices but most of all they are honest. Had a need to replace the compressor, old company who installed took the serial numbers off the 3 units we have which are only 5 years old. Manatee Air helped me to contact the manufacturer and save me $500 on the repair. They come twice a year and the techs are knowledgeable, friendly and tell you what is going on and take a ton of pictures they share with you, and is part of their office files. Manatee installed an HVAC unit at my condo. They came out on new years day to check the health of my old one (RIP) and the next day were installing a new one on the roof, crane and all. Install was quick and painless and professional. There was an issue in the condenser overfilling in the new one and it took a few visits to get it solved, but they were there within 30 mins each time and thoroughly worked the problem until it was solved, all at no charge. Our AC stopped working at the most inopportune time as I had my daughter and five friends en route to use our beach house. Thankfully the Manatee Air team showed up in 2 hours to do a temporary fix and then came back 4 days later to put in a new system. I had to manage this from afar and the communication was great. I hired MANATEE AIR to install an LG mini ductless system in a guest house for my elderly mother. Everything seemed to go fine, so I hired MANATEE AIR to install additional systems in the main house. Within a couple of short years all of the systems began to break down. I called MANATEE AIR to come over. Their service repair people told me the problems weren't the units, but the electricity, and that I should phone an electrician. What MANATEE AIR didn't tell me was that my units, during their first couple of visits, were still within the warranty period. They should have, could have, worked on them. Other companies have since told me the problem with my units is the type of wiring MANATEE AIR used to communicate between the outdoor main unit and the indoor wall units, but that I had missed the warranty period or they would have gladly fixed everything. Again, MANATEE AIR 'FAILED' to tell me about the warranty period during their several onsite visits. I now have broken down units throughout my main house, and, the guest house. But wait, there's more. My brother-in-law, when I first hired MANATEE AIR, needed some AC repair in the house where he was living where he was caring for his elderly handicapped father. A MANATEE AIR onsite repairman told me over the phone a modest amount it would cost to repair their AC - I was the one recommending this company, and, paying their bill. I agreed to the repair and the price. After the work was done I was told the repair didn't fix anything, and that it would cost hundreds of dollars more to try something else. Meanwhile, the secretary from the main office of MANATEE AIR was 'gossiping' over the phone with my brother-in-law about 'how stupid' I was - not realizing she was talking to "family". I went to MANATEE AIR's office to pay this bill in person to see who this gossipy secretary was. She "blushed" crimson when she saw me, when she realized "I" was the one she was talking about. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY ! ! ! ! - - - - - - I have read this company's response and wish to add the following: Every alternative company that has visited my home has told me the warranty period extended well beyond the time limit that you are suggesting, by several years. EVERY OTHER COMPANY. When your company came to my home they never did any work, but tried to blame it on the electricity - which was ridiculous. All of the other companies pointed out that the units are all receiving electricity, the problems were in the communications between the outdoor units and the indoor wall units. The problems, which I notified your company before in an email - several times, was in the choice of wiring type. How could it be that "3" separate installations - one in the guest house & two in the main house - all begin to break down at the same time, and your company believes its the electricity. I recall the owner saying to me that the installation of these units was 'new' at the time, meaning, your company was not all that familiar with them, or how to do the work. Clearly, when 3 separate ACs break down, your company did a very bad job. Even though I've asked your company to make up for this, time after time, your company has lied, deflected, blamed others - for THREE SEPARATE UNITS - instead of fixing the problem. YOUR COMPANY MADE A LOT OF MONEY OFF OF THIS MULTI-INSTALLATION. I am guessing you don't want to lose money by fixing the large problems your company created. And let's not forget, early on, when I (wrongly) believed your company was good I recommended they work on my family's existing AC, where they were caring for an elderly handicapped family member. Your on-site tech told me a modest price for repair. I was the one paying, on behalf of my family, so I said 'yes'. Only to be told, after he was done, he had failed, and then wanted to charge me 'hundreds' more to do more work. Which probably would have become even more work. All the time the receptionist in your office was talking over the phone to my brother-in-law about how "stupid" I was - clearly not knowing she was speaking with 'family'. She brushed CRIMSON when I personally went to your office to pay that bill. Why should I be surprised that still now your company still does not want to fix the problems that I have been complaining about for years and years and years and years...... read more

Our A/C stopped blowing cold air during the evening hours. Called a number of business and got recordings but got a live person when I called Manatee Air. The lady was nice and gave me the option of an emergency response or have someone respond tomorrow. I chose for next day and she stated they will call me in the morning which they did. The tech, AJ arrived early in the morning and found the problem quickly. He was honest and told me that the part was under warranty and would only charge me for service call.
