I own commercial building in Bradenton on Manatee ave and I require for Tenant maintenance of AC unit. This company for 4 years provide me with FAKE copy invoices . They say that unit there is very poor conditions and need to be replaced, not even worth to do service. One year after , they did a "service" I send there my guy , who send me a bunch of pictures , that it all dirty ...basically, they did nothing. And I pay for service again , make it clean, make sure it working . It seams that they only want to sell new units. 4 years later the AC units are still working, so how bad are the units in reality when they are still working 4 years later. read more

LPAC charged us nearly $7,000 to fix an HVAC problem that could have been corrected in 1/2 an hour for a couple of hundred dollars. In mid-February 2025 both breakers for our 8 year-old central HVAC condenser tripped. We called our regular HVAC service provider - LPAC - to troubleshoot and provide recommendations. After completing his tests, LPAC tech's written results were "compressor grounded and needs to be replaced" and "should consider unit replacement." To avoid future problems, we signed a contract to replace the unit. A couple of days after, 2 LPAC techs removed our old system and installed a new unit. At the end of installation, they started the new system and the same breakers tripped again. Further troubleshooting discovered that the outdoor disconnect switch was grounded and damaged inside. The first tech never checked this. Half an hour later the disconnect was fixed and my new HVAC worked correctly. The initial LPAC tech troubleshooting statement that the "compressor was grounded and needs to be replaced" was incorrect. The compressor was not grounded and replacement was not required. I called the LPAC owner to discuss the service and cost. Following 2 unpleasant conversations, he informed me that LPAC did nothing wrong and refused to further discuss my issue. We are very frustrated and unhappy with the extreme cost of solving a simple problem. We will never use them again and we will not recommend them to our friends or acquaintances. read more

UPDATE July 6, 2016! The owner called and agreed to make everything right. I will continue with LPAC for now. Sadly, I had rated this company "A" in the past and that was well deserved. However, circumstances have since changed and I can no longer recommend LARRY PEARSON AC. The tech sent to my home was inexperienced and poorly trained. He was due by 12PM on one day but never showed and never called. He finally called at 7PM and wanted to know if he could stop that night as it would be on his way home. He arranged to come the next day, advised that the problem was fixed but it was not. Later in the month another tech was assigned the task. It's been a nightmare. Water cooled/tower AC. Our AC was not cooling. Hot Air coming out when set to Cool. Luis was very knowledgable in diagnostics. It took a couple of times to reset but finally got it going. Also gave instruction on proper operation of thermostat. Will definitely use them again. Signed up for the 2 year maintenance service. read more

Had awful experiences with these people. Had them out to repair our AC unit. Told us that it would be a $1200 repair and said we should get a new unit. As you know we need AC more than money in FL. They sold us a $7K system. I found out after the fact that it was a $3500 unit. Took them forever to complete the job. Had to come back several times to get all the switches and electrical plates on. They would need huge blocks of time to show up. And often didn't. We had a year service contract after the install. We decided to pay another company to do the service because we couldn't afford to miss work waiting for them to show up. read more

I bought 3-year service agreements from LPAC for 2 homes, wasted my money, got no preferential treatment at all. When my AC went out they could not fix in a timely manner, promised to return calls multiple times and did did not follow up. From my interaction it seems this company has limited resources. In the time I wasted trying to get this company to respond I arranged a fix with another company and will stick with them. read more

I'm giving a mixed review based on four years of experience having LPAC do almost all of my AC work. Positive: The receptionist(s), especially Joyce, are terrific at handling calls and complaints and getting service people out when they say they'll be there. Joyce (and maybe there are others, too, not sure) is always polite and efficient, yet friendly too. Also positive: the technicians who come out are always friendly, respectful, and professional. They communicate well and keep me informed about what's going on and what they're doing. Negative: As far as I can recall, every time someone from LPAC has come out, they've recommended expensive upgrades or changes. The very first time, they sold me a used system at a decent price -- but I found out later it was a far bigger unit than my house required. At least once, a tech came out and tried to convince me that I needed a whole new system -- to replace the one I'd bought from them just a year or so before! I didn't get a new one that time, and in fact I had a different tech from a different company come in to assess it, and he said I did NOT need a new system. (It's been working well ever since.) Also negative: I bought the four-pack of maintenance service visits, but I'm not sure that's a good idea. This summer, the AC was working well but I let them come out for an annual maintenance check in August -- and after that, the AC stopped cooling! I had one very hot, uncomfortable night, and then called the next day. The same tech came out and told me that he hadn't changed anything. Fortunately, he did go up on the roof to check, though, and then he found that a fiberglass filter had "fallen" into somewhere it wasn't meant to be and it was blocking air flow. He fixed it in place with screws and the AC then began cooling properly again. But now the thermostat is reading about 10 degrees low! I've called and they'll send someone out again. I'm not being charged for these follow-up visits, which is fair, but it's annoying that there are now problems in a system that was working perfectly before the maintenance visit. In future, I'll still use LPAC, but I don't think I'd get the maintenance package again. read more

This company messed us up in just about everyday possible. From scheduling appointments, service, installation, you name it. The worst. I signed a service contract they didn't perform the service. They provided an inspection found hundreds of dollars of "necessary" repairs. Convinced us we needed a new system. Later found out they charged twice as much as we should have been charged. Spoke directly with the owner of the company who was defensive and unhelpful. Do yourself a favor. Stay away. read more

LPAC saved the day for my father and his property! My elderly father had a home and business he had to sell, so he needed help with repairs and improvements. Since his residence had a nonfunctioning 40 year old AC unit, I called several companies in Bradenton for quotes to replace it. We went for the lowest quote ( which was a little lower than the LPAC quote.) Big mistake ! We found out that "You get what you pay for" held true because the lowest cost installers, while they had a contractor's license, did not use labor who knew what they were doing, so a leak developed in the attic, ruining half of the residence with water damage. Then I remembered that the other estimate we got--the slightly higher estimate from LPAC, even though it was a little more, had a professionally qualified person licensed and fully trained in air conditioning--LPAC. So I called LPAC to find out about their fixing the drainage problem the other company had created. LPAC professionals who actually were trained and knowledgeable came out and fixed it right away, and it worked well from then on. Later, when my father's business needed its (separate) AC system replaced, I knew to call LPAC first because they were timely and thorough, experienced and professional. I am glad I went for LPAC because they follow good business practices, work conscientiously, and have reasonable pricing. Rick and his boss were able to make a bad case scenario into a best case scenario with a good analysis of problems, good products, and experienced labor (Rich and Steve) , all under an unavoidable time limit during their busiest season (July). Tobi and Joyce were also helpful in their office to coordinate everything. They did so well with my father's two AC system replacements that we called them when we had an AC problem at our own home-- again a quick response with good results! (Thanks Rick!) read more

Some people will never be satisfied but hopefully this review will let you know our opinion of LPAC. Look, it's Florida, we need the AC so who do you call, who do you trust? When I chose to contact LPAC my call was handled promptly, professionally, and politely.Then our appointment was set with the scheduling department. I received a phone call about 1 hour before the appointed time to see if an earlier arrival was acceptable. Thankful and much welcome punctuality. The service tech "Meyers" showed up and greeted me in a cheerful positive manner. Did you ever come across an individual that looked you in the eye and "listened" to you, or was that individual off in their own world just making you feel insignificant? Well Meyers, exemplified customer service by first "listening", then evaluating, and then resolving the service call. Trust this review and go ahead, call LPAC, it's the right choice.
