Half our order never came out and after waiting a while, I finally asked and a server went to the kitchen for a while before finally letting us know they were out of items. The restaurant was extremely crowded, to the point where it was hard to walk around comfortably. One thing that really threw us off was that the appetizers were located right by the front entrance and waiting area. With so many people walking by and reaching over the food, it didn't feel very sanitary, so we didn't really want to eat much from that section. For the skewers, we had to order through a kiosk, which was fine, but added another step to an already busy experience. The food we did eat was tasty and well seasoned, but it was very pricey. Our total came out to almost $400, which felt steep for what we got. Another frustrating part was the receipt being entirely in Chinese, making it hard for us to understand the charges. Unfortunately, the server didn't explain the receipt clearly, and since we don't speak Chinese, it left us confused about the breakdown. This is another Chinese hot pot skewer spot where you select the skewers you want at a self-serve refrigerator section, and you cook it in a hot pot base. They also have cooked items available to order, alcohol, and the self serve snack/sauce bar. Majority of the people here were Chinese speaking, but they also have English translations for majority of the items. This would be a fun place to grab a bite and drink, since they offer draft beer by the pitchers. The price is reasonable for food and drinks, but it can add up if you're not paying attention. It was also a little cramp feeling and things didn't feel very clean. The food was standard, but if you like spicy mala, theirs is very spicy. At the back of the restaurant there is a large wall of small plates and skewers, all very clean and well organized. You can walk over and browse while eating, since what is available changes throughout the meal. Later on they restocked green pepper beef and egg-coated beef, which made me very happy. Pricing is $5.99 for small round bowls, $4.99 for large round bowls, and $10.99 per large plate. Overall, it is quite budget friendly. Recently visited this hot pot skewer spot after their renovation and really enjoyed it. The place is clean and refreshed, the skewers are generous, and the marinated dishes were especially flavorful.
