Next Stop Movers did a great job moving us. They showed up right on time with 6 guys and two trucks. They worked quickly, but also were very careful to protect our furniture and belongings. The move took a bit longer than expected, but nobody complained and just kept working hard until the job was done. They were careful to place all furniture exactly where we wanted it and took great care. We would highly recommend them and would use them again if we ever move in the future. read more

be warned! do not use! plenty of moving companies. they showed up with not enough movers. small truck. damaged our furniture. actually used one the workers pickup truck. didn't use moving pads on all wood furniture just Saran Wrap. owner talks over you when you are talking. very arrogant. doesn't care about resolving the problems. blame this customer. stressful and financially a mess to deal with. read more

These guys are great! We had the MOST complicated moving circumstances EVER and they made the whole thing as easy as possible. Always super friendly, VERY careful with our furniture, and they even muscled all the really heavy pieces perfectly up the stairs. Absolutely amazing. Can't recommend them highly enough! read more

We moved local with an hourly rate and we did a load in the morning in Apex and unloaded in Louisburg in the afternoon. The three guys were great although the lead guy Garcia needs to smile more, lol. They wrapped and padded everything and I mean everything. We had no issues they were really attenuative to where we need things put when we were unloading. I only had one complaint with the final price and at 7pm I felt it wasn't worth it to argue because it was not with the guys it was with their supervisor who told them what to charge. It was an hour of time $195 for travel vs loading time but for the cost being half of what two other places wanted to charge for a weighted price and told it cant be done on one day I was still a head of the game. So We are very happy with the move with them. read more

They just threw the last loads in without any care or organization! I called Raleigh Moving Company and they couldn't send help until 2 days later - after the truck was scheduled to leave. We chose Safe & Sound because of the company's stellar Yelp reviews and its average Yelp rating when compared to other moving companies in the Triangle. Safe & Sound seemed like a safe bet and I'm happy to report that it was. We moved from a two-bedroom apartment to a two-bedroom condo. We added on: (1) a stop to drop off furniture at my parents' house in High Point, North Carolina and (2) haul-away of some items in Atlanta. The total cost for everything was $4,075, broken down as follows: * 2 movers + equipment, loading in Chapel Hill (1 hour, minimum) - $155 * 2 movers + equipment, loading in Chapel Hill (0.5 hour, additional time required) - $77.50 * 2 movers + equipment, unloading in High Point (1 hour, minimum) - $155 * 2 movers + equipment, unloading in Atlanta (1 hour, minimum) - $155 * Deposit for travel and truck - $50 * Haul-away (junk removal) of double mattress, double box spring, bed frame, one standard dining room chair, and torchiere floor lamp - $125 * Remainder of balance for travel - $2,875 * Additional cost/payment - $182.50 * Tip for mover 1 - $150 * Tip for mover 2 - $150 A $485 total deposit was due upfront to secure the reservation. We asked for the movers to show up at a specific date and time. We paid the $485 total deposit 26 days in advance with a credit card. The rest ($3,590) was paid via multiple Zelle transactions after we arrived in Atlanta. In hindsight, I think I may have overpaid $50 because the $50 deposit for the travel and truck was included in our $485 total deposit. I believe that same $50 was included in the remainder of the balance for travel. In other words, I think the $2,875 above should have been $2,825, but I could be wrong. Also, in my stress and exhaustion from the move, I forgot what the additional cost/payment of $182.50 was for. It made sense at the time, when I signed the form ("Uniform Household Goods Bill of Lading - 35 Miles or Less") after the move was complete. I was just happy it was over and that my wife, the movers, and I all made it safely to Atlanta in three separate vehicles on moving day. I do think all of the costs could have been communicated more clearly in writing for our understanding. Money aside, as for the move itself, it generally went well. We scheduled a 9:00-10:00am arrival window for the movers. This was on a Wednesday. We were packed and ready to go at 9am. Unfortunately, the movers were delayed and showed up around 10:45am. They arrived in a 26-foot white Penske truck. It's my understanding they rented it that morning. While it was overkill for the amount of stuff we had, I believe it was the best available truck at the time. It looked new. The movers were Hamza (lead) and Sula. They were great. Very kind and polite. These were young guys in their early 20s. They both wore Safe & Sound T-shirts. They worked hard, quickly and carefully wrapping and protecting our queen mattress and furniture with stretch wrap and blankets, and moving all sorts of heavy boxes and miscellaneous items (e.g., my awkward and heavy standing desk system, computer monitor, office chair mat, torchiere floor lamp, vacuum cleaner) from our third-floor apartment with no elevator on a hot summer day. At the loading site, we treated them to cold Gatorades. It took them about 1.5 hours to do the load in Chapel Hill. We left Chapel Hill around roughly 12:30pm. Hamza ran the show. We made it clear which items were to be dropped off first in High Point and which items were going all the way to Atlanta. No issues there. My parents were very happy with Hamza and Sula's work at the unload in High Point. The two made it to Atlanta around 10:00pm and the unload in Atlanta took less than an hour. Long day. My wife and I made it to Atlanta earlier - around 7:30pm. Unlike Hamza and Sula, we did not stop in High Point. We wanted to get to Atlanta before them so we could get the condo ready for the unload. It worked out. Hamza told me they were going to try and drive back to Raleigh/Cary that night! Only one of our items, a shoe rack, was damaged. All things considered, not a big deal so I didn't bring it up. I can remember three other moves I did with three other moving companies and one item was damaged in each move. It happens. For the haul-away, I only mentioned the mattress and box spring. I added on the other items when I saw them in Atlanta. They didn't charge me extra for that, which I appreciate and must mention here. I sent the tips directly and individually to Hamza and Sula for a job well done. As for scheduling and payment, my wife and I communicated with Jaber (a.k.a. Omar), the owner of Safe & Sound Moving Company. Jaber was on top of everything and quick to respond via Yelp messaging, text messaging, and phone calls. Thank you, Jaber, Hamza, and Sula!

The reviews look real, they're well-rated and really close to home so I give them a call. Charlie at the office takes in all my information including details about each location and a basic inventory of key pieces of furniture in addition to packed boxes. They check in a couple of days beforehand and we are good to go! Day of the move, Malik, Hunter and Tyrell show up in a fairly large truck. They help me break down some furniture (bed frames) and try to leave as much intact for the move. For my 2 bedroom apartment it takes maybe 2 1/2 hours to bring it all down. Unfortunately I live on the 3rd floor which slows things down. On the destination side it takes a little over an hour to unload which includes re-assembling stuff. Didn't find many/any dings on the walls or furniture, they wrap the edges for safety. I tip the team and say a huge thank you for this big step forward in my move. Overall I was very happy with their service, it was a little under $900 for the 5 mile move but heck, I sure couldn't have done it on my own. While I was concerned about some of the negative reviews I saw online, my experience was top-notch for the move!

I had to store a bunch of boxed items for a while, and this facility was less than 10 minutes from…read moremy house. I ended up getting a 6' X 10' climate controlled space. The indoor part of the facility used to be a supermarket or department store, so it is quite large. The whole place is clean, well lit, and the air conditioning is better than I expected. Nicely cool in the summer, and comfortably warm in the winter. My unit was on the end, right near the curbside door, but I noticed looking down the aisles that they are very wide, if you wanted to access your unit while the tenant across did the same, there would be no problem. The roll-up door worked smoothly, and the built-in lock eliminates having to buy or supply a padlock. There are always plenty of flatbed carts available. Not 24 hour access, but you can get in 7:30 am to 10 pm every day, holidays included. Office staff very friendly and helpful, and the managers live onsite. Even when the office was closed, a few times when I went to my unit, I saw one of the managers, so they don't close up the office and disappear. Although I didn't have a need for it, I noticed they have plenty of room for outside storage (like vehicles & equipment) and again, it is clean and well organized. If I ever need storage again, I will definitely return here.

Avoid Using Budget Dumpster and Avoid Damage to Your Property…read more.. (I contemplated giving them only one star, but figured a two-star rating would draw readers, as one-star ratings tend to appear as knee-jerk responses to bad service) In early February, 2025, I rented a dumpster from Budget Dumpster for the second time in as many years. My first experience was fine. This one was a disaster, complete with several hundred dollars worth of property damage for which Budget Dumpster compensated me only a fraction of the cost. Upon delivery, the driver gouged a trench into my gravel driveway. I did not notice it until the dumpster was picked up 10 days later. That damage by itself would've been somewhat tolerable, but it was upon pick-up that the real damage occurred. I'm not sure who they employ to drive their vehicles, but this individual's CDL should be revoked. Despite having an wide entry to the driveway being used for deliveries of this nature (which has accommodated trucks of all sizes for years), the driver drove off of the side of the road and THROUGH my yard, damaging the moss turf (complete with deep tire tracks). Then they ran over the decorative edge of my fence at the edge of the property, and topped off the damage by crushing a 6"x 6''x 6' landscape timber, bordering my driveway. I immediately called Budget dumpster to start the claim process. To their credit, I got a response the next business day, but after that initial engagement, nothing but crickets for 10 days. They finally responded with a request for estimates, despite having photos of the damage, so right out of the gate they wanted me to do the legwork. When I provided that information to them, I got an immediate response indicating they would only pay approximately 25% of what it would cost for materials and labor to repair the damages. In this offer, they included the following contract language excerpt: EXCEPT IN THE EVENT OF GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR INTENTIONAL MISCONDUCT, CUSTOMER HEREBY WAIVES ANY AND ALL CLAIMS AND LOSSES AGAINST THE COMPANY AND ITS SUBCONTRACTORS, HAULER SUBCONTRACTORS... OK, so driving through my yard, damaging the turf, crushing the edge of a fence and a landscape timber, not to mention the initial damage incurred upon delivery (a 6ft x 6in gouge in my gravel driveway) isn't GROSS NEGLIGENCE??? Best case, it's egregious driver incompetence. If you look at the photos below, I think "gross negligence" is pretty obvious. In addition, it seems Budget Dumpster grudgingly acknowledged some degree of "gross negligence," otherwise, why would they offer any compensation at all? Regardless, I rejected their lowball offer, but in the end - after a couple of hours of emails and back-and-forth phone calls with someone who only referred to themselves as "David R." in Ohio (why not provide your last name to your customers, David?) - they only added an additional $36 to the overall claim and washed their hands of any other responsibility or costs. The rest was on me, and as a retired disabled Vet, I do not look forward to having to repair that fence or remove/replace a heavy railroad tie on my own. Among readers of this review, some might say "Hey, quit complaining - you got a little something." My response to that would be why should I or any other customer accept that? Why is it OK for any business to come onto anyone's property and do hundreds of dollars worth of damage, but only pay a small percentage of that and walk away? So I guess in closing I'll simply say that if any of you are willing to accept this kind of buffoonery and incompetence from any business, much less a second rate dumpster company like Budget Dumpster, then be my guest and hire them. Maybe you'll get lucky and the driver won't destroy too much of your property. To the rest of you, I'd advise not doing business with Budget Dumpster, especially anyone who has served and been disabled in the performance of their duties as a Military Veteran or First Responder.

On Monday, I was fortunate enough to get paired up with a crew from Next Stop Movers that included Ralphiel, Henry and Marcell. These guys were on time, courteous, professional, and friendly and immediately made me feel like they were going to take care of all of my things. I was especially concerned about some of my bigger furniture not fitting into my new home at the beach because of the way the staircase was configured. Ralphiel, Henry and Marcell assured me that they would figure out a way to get everything into the new house and they did! To say they went above and beyond would be an understatement and I'll never be able to truly thank them for their hard work. They were able to "save" my furniture, and I would say that this move paid for itself, because without them, I would have had to buy a bunch of new furniture to replace the furniture that wouldn't fit up the steps. Kevin, Shake, and P did an absolutely outstanding job with my move. The process was much more strenuous than a typical move because the apartment required carrying everything up multiple flights of stairs, but they handled it with professionalism and a great attitude the entire time. They were efficient, careful with all of my belongings, and worked incredibly hard without slowing down. Not a single item was damaged, and they made sure everything was placed exactly where I needed it in the apartment. What really stood out was their teamwork and positive attitude despite the challenging stairs and heavy items. Kevin, Shake, and P went above and beyond to make the move smooth and stress-free. Next Stop Movers were fantastic. We did have a fairly major accident occurring during the move but owners Josh and Hale were right there and never made us worry about the situation. Accidents happen, for us it is all about how it's handled when things don't go exactly as planned. The owners and entire crew were responsive and professional every step of the way. Next Stop Movers is the way to go! Sam, Juan, Raphiel, Gabe, Peyton, and Kevon came in our home and treated it like it was their own. They wrapped everything in pads. They boxed up our pictures and tv's. They laid out cardboard and rugs all over the house to protect the house when moving furniture out and in. I had a great experience from start to finish. Hale showed up prompt and gave me an accurate estimate. The guys came in 1/2 hour sooner than he quoted. I was cautious going in as my last mover underbid by job and I stuck with $1,000 higher bill than expected on the day of the move. Nothing was damaged and the crew was extremely professional!
