It's been a year or so since I've last been to a Veggie Grill location and this was my first time visiting the Pasadena one. It was a Monday night and the place was pretty dead, so we were able to place our orders and get our food pretty quickly. For some reason I thought this place mostly just did vegan burgers and such, but since I actually took the time to look at the menu I realized this place has a huge menu of sandwiches, salads, sides, entrees, and desserts. The second I saw the Homestyle Crispy Chick'n on the screen I knew thats what I was ordering, as well as some french fries and onion rings as sides. I was completely blown away by just how good the chick'n was. The breading, sauce, and "meat" was so dang flavourful I was practically drooling as I ate it. The french fries were super crispy and tasted great, and the same can be said for the onion rings as well. Overall, Veggie Grill by Next Level is a wonderful vegan spot to grab a meal and definitely someplace I'll be returning to in the future. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the place itself is super clean and spacious as well. Can't wait to come back! read more

Friends visiting are vegetarian so we ate in. Order then sit down the food is brought to the table. Sprung rolls, chick'n fingers, lentil soup, a bowl with lotsa stuff and egg. I'm not vegetarian but tried everything it was good. Brian working at Veggie Grill helped us and was super nice! read more

Haven't had Veggie grill since 2009 so came here for lunch since it has a ton of healthy options. The tempeh Buddha bowl, All hail kale salad and the side of roasted potatoes came out to about $39. It was really fresh and overall delicious and healthy. If you ever have to order a salad, come here! Apparently, there's an app and you can get a free bowl on your birthday...thank you fellow yelpers, I'm tempted to do this now. read more

The food doesn't even taste like real food, ever since they partnered with next level the food just doesn't taste good. Their new milk shakes are disgusting the chocolate doesn't even taste like chocolate it tastes like coconut with a hint of chocolate fudge. The portions are smaller and the price is outrageous. The service a lot of times is not good, like why are they mad about doing the job they chose. read more

Veggie girl always has delicious food with fast service, and a clean aesthetic. There was plenty of seating available both inside and outside, it was the perfect healthy meal after a nice hike on a sunny day in LA. There's no shortage of tempting choices on the menu here. The burger section alone features 10 options, making it the perfect spot to satisfy a burger craving. We went with the Sunrise and the PubChz. I'm a sucker for a runny yolk, so I couldn't resist the one topped with a Yo-Egg. The PucChz was deliciously messy in its own way. Both of these Beyond Burgers were next level. You can also order smoothies, bowls, wraps, fries, tots, soups, salads, tacos...this menu is huge! Prices are reasonable for a vegan place. And there's a large amount of seating inside. With so many options left, a return visit is a must! read more

Stopped by on Sunday, 06/01/25. I got the kimchi steak bowl which was $14.95 (redeemed by birthday reward so got it for free). The bowl was so tasty and filled me up (I only ate half). Literally tastes like steak! The kimchi taste was extremely strong which I admired a lot. read more

The mac and cheese here was not good at all. I've had plenty of vegan mac and cheese, and this was not it. The portion was also very small. However, the strawberry sundae was very good. Service was good and food was quick. Solid spot for a dairy-free dessert, but maybe skip the entree. read more

Ordered online and my food was ready right when I arrived, which was super convenient. I decided to dine in--there's plenty of seating inside and a few tables outside too. The space was very clean, and the staff greeted me right away. I got the Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap with dressing on the side. The chicken was warm and crispy, and the almond parmesan added a nice twist. Only downside was the uneven filling--half of the wrap like 80% of the chicken while the other barely had any. I've tried several other items here in the past and the food has always been consistent. Parking can be tough during peak hours, but they do have a parking lot. Overall, reliable spot for a quick plant-based meal. read more

Grabbed a quick lunch to-go after work for the far drive home. I could not find this place because the sign was covered by tree leaves. Please cut the leaves around the sign so it's easier to find!!! I'm not a vegetarian anymore but once in a while I crave it, and considering all the delicious food I've consumed this week in this area, Veggie Grill was very appropriate! I got the Buffalo wings and strawberry lemonade. The Buffalo wings have changed since the last I've had them. Still good, but i noticed the change. The strawberry lemonade is still ever so good!! You can taste the strawberry more than the lemon and I love that! I've always loved the Veggie Grill brand because it's so close to the real thing! They have really good food and I still enjoyed it! read more

Good food with many options. I enjoyed the plant based tacos and chili fries. Will be returning when I'm back in the area.

The server was pretty rude very short just asked me what I want and walked away paid about 16 something for a smoothie just to have very rude service no thank you for coming, nothing. I'm not understanding what the hostility is about and why she was so upset even as she handed me my drink, she said absolutely nothing. It's a shame I would come here more often, but the service just makes everything the whole experience, very awkward and unwelcoming. read more

My Vegan relatives wanted to come here for dinner as they knew it would make all three of them happy. My first time..Fast food like. Order at counter. They were all pretty happy with their vegan burgers. I was disappointed in the Crispy tempura cauliflower that I ordered. Batter was way thicker than a normal tempura. Not crispy. And there was raw batter under the coating. The orange dipping sauce on side was good. . read more

WOW. This review has been in the making: I remember a few years ago when vegetarian food was turning a new leaf and many restaurants have popped up near me. I would say back in 2015 - 2017 Veggie Grill was not on the top of my list, the food felt lacking in flavor but the innovation was there! I felt the nachos and burgers just didn't have the right taste so I haven't been back since. But the location was clean with lots of friendly servers! Until 2024 I decided to come back and try again and OMG. The quality has changed for the better! I saw a great deal on Door Dash and thought, "Eh, why not?" and ordered their Kimchi Steak Bowl along with their cheese burger as well and I just couldn't believe what I was putting into my mouth. An explosion of flavor! Their Kimchi Steak Bowl had the right amount of tang, the hint of spice, and their Bulgogi Vegan Steak had me wanting to eat the entire bowl myself! (I was sharing with my partner and wished I wasn't!). For $15 I would say it is borderline worth it. I wished Veggie Grill wasn't so pricy so I can have the opportunity to try more but since I can't I have to wait for those days when Door Dash or Uber Eats decide to send me a coupon. And their cheese burger was junky in all the right ways! I just WISHED they offered fries as part of the other, I felt paying 12.45 should give you at least a small portions of fries! But if I wanted some I would have had to pay an extra $4 for a regular and a whopping $6 for a large! I would love to continue to give Veggie Grill my continued visits but I would have to limit them to maybe a 2 or 3 times a year because each visit costs me about $60 just for food and sides. That hurts my wallet. And my wallet tells me where to go read more

Stumbled upon this gem while going to a game at SOFI. Realized there are a few locations so tried the one in Pasadena on the next trip and it was amazing! The food taste great , always fresh, plenty of seating and parking in the back. The food order was taken and food delivered extremely fast. Will definitely be adding this place into my food rotation! read more

Pretty big menu, many different options and sometimes a good mix of cuisines that will likely cause you to decide between a few things or just order a lot! The produce always tastes really fresh here and that goes with all the ingredients too! I personally like to try their bowls which can rotate but there's a good balance of veggies, grains, protein in every bowl. If you want to maximize your greens, the salad options are good as well since they basically give you a ton of greens to go with plenty of toppings. I recently came here for my b-day reward to pick up, and it was quick and easy. I've dined here many times too and those have always been pleasant. The dining area is quite large and I have never had to struggle to find seating. The staff is always very kind and helpful. It is a bit odd that they don't have their own trash area as it feels like the staff aren't really true waiters but I guess if you dine in, feel free to leave whenever you are done and the staff will eventually clean it up. Parking can be hectic during peak hours. There is a parking lot right behind the place, but it's shared with many stores in this area and can get super crowded. There is like 3-4 veggie grill reserved parking right behind the entrance of the place but those are intended to be very quick, maybe for door dash/food delivery drivers or if you're picking up an order. You may be able to find parking in adjacent lot near Walgreens, but you'll have to walk a bit in those cases. read more

The service is friendly and the restrooms are clean. The salads tend to be pretty good, especially the dressings. The new tofu salad was super delicious. As a vegetarian, it's honestly such a relief to find a place like Veggie Grill. Instead of having to pick around a menu or settle for one token veggie option, everything here actually feels made for me. The food is fresh, flavorful, and filling without being heavy, and it's nice to be able to try different things without worrying about ingredients. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff is friendly, and the whole experience just feels easy -- which isn't always the case when you're trying to eat out as a vegetarian. It's rare to find a spot where I can order anything on the menu and know it'll be good, but Veggie Grill really delivers. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

Far East Bowl is shocking with how it makes your tastebuds stand up and dance out of deliciousness!!!! It has unique flavors that I can't explain. And I regret not trying it sooner because it's SO TASTY, leaves you feeling full and healthy, and the prices are super reasonable!!! I haven't visited Veggie Grill in almost 6 years, and I couldn't help but visit this one when I noticed it was close to somewhere that I was visiting. I ordered the Far East Bowl, and I enjoyed all of the ingredients. The crispy sesame chicken was indeed fresh and crispy. The midnight lentil mix were a nice bed of grains, and I really enjoyed eating it. The roasted garlic broccoli were lightly steamed and still crisp, and the pickled fresh vegetables and fresh herbs were a delight. Top that off with Thai cocounut curry sauce, and I'm weak... I'm definitely going to be back. The only small pet peeve and sadness that I have is that the portions are noticeably small, but that's only a small annoyance for bites of healthy happiness. read more

As a vegan, I want so badly to love this place. The location is so convenient, it's on Lake and the parking lot in the back is large. And the prices/rewards system is great, I have the app. HOWEVER, since they removed their OG BLT, I just haven't found something I really like. I've tried pretty much everything from the Mexican menu and nothing really sticks out. I wish they would use their own meat alternative instead of Beyond - the flavor is just so distinct and honestly not my cup of tea. The one thing I do enjoy is the fries, they are super crispy! I usually stick to the buffalo cauliflower wings now but I can get those at many other restaurants. I will say, if you're looking for somewhere clean and quiet to eat, this is a good option. They aren't often busy. You order at a counter and they bring the food to your table. read more

Got the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and it was decent, it was lacking a tiny bit of flavor and I needed to get some bbq sauce to enhance the taste. Also got a tropical tonic smoothie, it was pretty good but I probably wouldn't order it again mainly due to the cost. Service was efficient and they took our order immediately. Only thing that I would say is a "negative" is the cost of the food+drinks, but I still enjoyed both items I ordered. Willing to give it another chance and try something different. read more

I really love Veggie Grill. I've been a regular for years. This review has nothing to do with the service or food. My assumption is that Veggie Grill is a meat-free zone, as many vegan/plant-based restaurants are. So, I was a bit taken aback to see an employee eating chicken from Panda Express. Granted, he was on his break and I respect the fact that not everyone in the world is vegan, but it was a bit jarring to see in plain view of where customers were walking by. I think this location could use a private break room. read more

A few folks had recommended this place to me as a solid vegan option. I finally had the chance to come thru and wasn't disappointed. I ordered the mushroom asada as a bowl. Super good!!!! It's definitely a lot of food; for how much I eat it was good for 1.5-2 meals. I liked the flavor combo quite a bit. The meal was a bit rice heavy but still very satisfying and filling. Also sampled some of their sweet potato fries which were pretty decent. Prices were reasonable as per the portions served. Food was prepared quickly too. I'll definitely come thru again! read more

This place has great food options and their various items were tasty despite having no meat or imitation meat. Their imitation chicken sandwich tastes pretty comparable to traditional chicken . Their plates and bowls are pretty filling. The location is in the middle of many other restaurants in Pasadena. The location is pretty spacious and clean and I have seen even large parties hold banquets when I came to visit. The team members are personable and friendly by patiently explaining their food options and recommendations for newcomers. read more

We always passed by Veggie Grill many times, but never was motivated to try since we are not vegetarians/vegan. We do like veggies but not really into veggies that pretends to be meat. At the beginning of the new year, we decided to finally give it a shot. Their menu consists of vegan burgers, sandwiches, salads and bowls. Hubby and I shared: Crispy Cauliflower - tempura battered with a tangy orange sauce on the side. The batter was a bit too thick, it would have been better if they offered just a regular roasted cauliflower. Japanese Katsu sliders - made with fried Impossible burger, top with pickled veggies and aioli wrap in a steam bao bun. This was actually my favorite item and it was tasty. Harvest bowl - Mushrooms, butternut squash, spinach, beets over a bed of grains. I was actually excited that it has all my favorite veggies but then chipotle dressings I cannot eat because it was spicy. So I mostly picked out from the top that did not touch the dressing. With Yelp check in you can get a free order 3 chocolate chip cookies. Note that these are vegan so it won't taste the same as your normal cookies. I'm glad we got to try Veggie Grill finally. read more

A favorite location of mine. Always genuinely friendly staff and quick service. The drinks are refreshing and not too sweet, and the food is tasty and filling. I usually get the Santa Fe Chikn sandwich and buffalo chkn strips, but during this visit, we tried some of the new menu items since they had a BOGO deal. We had the Ranchero Fiesta bowl, which was so good and had so much flavor! The Caesar crunch wrap and the Sesame tofu Super Greens bowl were also very tasty, but my favorite thing was the extra yummy almonds on the sesame tofu bowl. They have plenty of seating inside, which usually has a calm and quiet vibe and also a small outdoor patio area facing the main street. There's plenty of parking in the back as well as limited front street parking. And it can get hard to find parking during dinner rush hour. The restrooms are located towards the back almost outside of the restaurant, and a code is needed for access. Bonus: If you check in with Yelp, you get a small dessert cookie, which is also vegan. I've always seen Veggie Grill and I finally got to try it for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised by the food here! You order at the counter and get a number to put at your table, so you can be in and out if you're on a time crunch. They have a huge variety of vegetarian and vegan options like sandwiches, burgers, Mexican food, and more. As someone who is not vegan or vegetarian, I was impressed by the tacos - not only for the flavor, but also for the proteins used. The burger was also very tasty and well made. Guac was also an easy win for us! The only thing I would NOT order is the mac & cheese as the cheese they use was not great at all, and we did not like this. Vegan food done right. Simple, tasty and satisfying. I'm not a vegan but enjoy grabbing a Heather bite once in a while and veggie grill always hits the spot. The Santa Fe chicken sandwich is flavorful and you wouldn't know it's a plant based patty. It reminds me of the chicken sandwich you order and Burger King. The all hail kale salad is my go to dish with a small lentil soup. Even though it's a salad you won't leave hungry. The pre toss the salad so the kale is still crunch but too firm and hard. Today was a chance to actually try dining in at a Veggie Grill. Extremely friendly host that took our orders, Alondra. The Ultimate Veggie Burger for me, the Sonoran Bowl for my wife. We also shared an order of fries and we both tried their lemonade. The food was definitely better dining in than the last sampling we had from this chain. My burger patty was almost overwhelmed by the other fillers inside the sesame seed bun, but still tasty and filling. Very good fries and lemonade too! Been passing by this spot for a while and finally decided to stop in and give it a try. To be honest, I had been skeptical on the early stages of imitation meat, but was surprised to find I enjoyed my chickin' sandwich. I think they've gotten to a point of being able to make the 'meat' crispy enough to where it hides the 'obviously non-meat' flavor profile quite well. I thought the santa fe chickin' sandwich was quite well executed. The fries were nothing to write home about, but they were, at the very least, thick and crispy. I complemented them with sriracha instead of ketchup. But I wanted to ask for chipotle aioli and forgot. Next time, perhaps. read more
