MADabolic kicks a$$! I'm a fitness enthusiast and tried dozens of local fitness places (Orange…read moreTheory, F45, Shred317, FitFlexFly, Burn Bootcamp, and a whole bunch CrossFit gyms), and can confidently say MADabolic is my favorite. I appreciate the science behind the program and thoughtful approach to longevity. No barbells = lower risk of trauma. No massive screens and coaches who barely pay attention - you'll get the instruction you deserve. And more importantly - if you come consistently and challenge yourself, you'll be in your best shape ever. Love the people here, and what the owners are doing for the community beyond the gym itself. Sign up and try your first 3 classes for free - you gonna love it!

Let me start out by saying that I am not a gym rat. People always say, "oh, after awhile you'll…read morelove this". That isn't me. I hate this four times a week. Casey, Amelia and Ashley are the coaches and they definitely keep everyone on track, but, more importantly keep them doing the exercises correctly so we are safe. There are five lanes rated from beginner to top to tier athlete. Each lane goes progressively higher weights. On my first session, I thought I was gonna die and my friend Red gave me the best piece of advice about this place. "It never gets easy, but it does get better," with all of that said, I will tell you that I have moved up one lane and I'm very close to moving up one more. I've lost two pants sizes and I am noticeably stronger when I do things outside of the gym. This place is not for the faint of heart. They will work you like a borrowed mule and you'll be tired every single time you leave, but you can't argue with the results, also all the people that go there are super cool and everyone encourages everyone. And it's like a gym for real people sure there are some people there that are like in super good shape but there's some out if shape old people like me just trying to get better and getting results. If you're looking to lose weight and get in shape, I promise you this is the place to go. They have a variety of times you can go throughout the day and you can schedule it through the app.

I've been a member for F45 since the beginning of this year (about 9 months). I've been going to…read moregyms for years and was looking for a change but a beginner could absolutely do this as well. I loved that they give you a 7 day free trial before you sign up. It seems like most gyms only give you 1 class and you can't actually get a sense of the classes after just one. Each day here is a different type of workout, strength based, cardio based, hybrid and some specialty ones sprinkled in. They have different challenges a few times a year for you to participate and you don't have to pay a fee to do it like you do elsewhere. The coaches and members are really friendly and the best part about this gym is that all the classes are only 45 minutes! (Saturday classes are an hour) It's the perfect length for a before a workday or to knock out on a lunch break.

I'm so happy that an F45 opened in Broadripple a little over a year ago. I love coming here for the…read morequick effective workouts. Sunday-Friday classes are 45 minutes while Saturday is an hour. It's a combination of strength training and cardio HIIT style classes. The coaches are energetic and come around to help correct your form if you're someone like me who needs help! Music is loud and upbeat to make you (sometimes) forget about the hard moves you are doing. What I love about this spot is that there are modifications for each move so any fitness level can attend! They've got three reserved parking spaces in the parking lot. Two huge restrooms, one with a shower so you can get ready before work! Sometimes on Saturday they'll even have a live DJ for the class! Your first week is free- so come try it out!

They even have an on-site daycare room for some classes which I thought was nice to offer. It is on the second floor of the building, but they send thorough directions to you before attending your first class. Some people have been coming here for 2k+ classes - there are some real devotees here which means they must be doing something right! Classes are a little more expensive than other studios in my opinion, but you are buying into a high quality studio. Also, I felt like this was a more wide-range age demographic as far as students. While Pure Barre to me feels more like 20-something year olds, I liked that this was a more diverse age demographic.

Think twinkle lights, calm music, and sound bowls. I really appreciated the instructor who made sure everyone was comfortable and knew what to expect from the hour long sound bath experience. If I hadn't had my coffee that morning, it would've been very easy to fall asleep. She has comfortable padded mats already laid out but recommends bringing a pillow and blankets and showing up in cozy clothes. This experience was wonderful and I really hope to do it again. Highly recommend!
