I was concerned about my car battery and even though they were booked today, they took my car immediately, checked it, found out the battery was fine and sent me on my way without a single charge. Wonderful customer service all around! I'd definitely go back to them again. read more

After a bad experience with my local dealership, we decided to go elsewhere for service and I brought my baby to Next Generation. First of all, I appreciated the thoroughness they took to go over my car. Several issues were found. Some required immediate action and others needed to be watched. They kept in touch, letting us know problems found and cost and they used actual Hyundai parts. Mike even kept the parts removed to show my husband. Compared to the dealership, prices were more reasonable. They even gave hubby the veterans discount. We loved the communication and the honesty. We'll be back. read more

I cannot rate these guys highly enough. This is pretty much the only shop I truly trust. My husband and I have taken our cars here for everything: emissions, oil changes, CV axles and boots, a fuel pump, a suspension issue that turned out to actually be a broken trailing arm (which another shop totally missed AND over-quoted me for), AC, and probably more that I'm forgetting. I've never felt like they tried to upsell or scam me. Mike and the whole team are super down to earth and seem to care not only about the cars, but about the people too. They've even been flexible and stayed late to allow me to pick up my car past closing. If you need a trustworthy mechanic, come here! read more

Highly recommended. No BS, quick turn around, and lower prices for the quality provided. Best spot in the valley.

Mike, Ashley, & crew are exceptional. It brings incredible peace of mind to have found mechanics who are honest, reliable, thorough, and reasonably priced. My wife and I will not take our vehicles anywhere else as long as we are in the valley, and we will continue to recommend them to friends. Thank you! read more

Needed to get my car checked and ready to put in the market. They did a full sweep of my car and made sure it was ready to sell! Mike is efficient, transparent and even helped me out with tips on how best to sell it online. Will always come back here with my new car once I get it! read more

I had some major work done seven months ago. The car has driven perfectly since I drove it out of the shop. Their price blew away the two quotes I had received from other shops. This was the best experience I've ever had with a shop, and I've been driving for 52 years. Next Generation has a customer for life. read more

To say that Mike and Ashley and their crew go above and beyond is an understatement. We're trust them, couldn't be happier with the work they do, and are so thankful to have "found" them. Highly recommend! read more

Found ourselves in an emergency situation where our car had stopped and we had to push to their shop. They met us before we got to their place and pushed with us. After a quick diagnosis and repair we were on our way. Such excellent service. So grateful for the time Mike and his crew took to help us! read more

Mike fixed my 2003 Toyota Corolla that LITERALLY no other mechanics could figure out at other shops with a huge emissions issue. He and his entire team are the best, hands down. 50000000/5 stars, don't take your car anywhere else. Thorough, customer service, price, everything is fantastic here at Next Generation Auto. read more

NEVER USE MIKE OR NEXT GEN. He has been CAUGHT red handed scamming my insurance company, and has cost my family and I OVER 30 THOUSAND DOLLARS in damages on ONE vehicle alone!! We are STILL in the process if discovering all Mike has scammed us on because we made the mistake of trusting him with our 3 vehicles. Mike had us as loyal customers for years even AFTER we caught him in a lie... and how much he took advantage of us is SHOCKING-everyone needs to steer clear of this crook and his ring of shop crooks he is working with. We started going to Mike out of convenience as the shop was within walking distance of work. All we needed was our new headlights wired in and right after bringing the truck in it started having ALL kinds of issues it never had including overheating. Now I am starting to think that this is not a coincidence. He WILL rob your insurance! I picked my truck up after an accident and it didn't even make it out of the parking lot. The brake shroud was smashed into rotor (still) that I was charged for to be replaced but yet it wasn't. If he did the "test drives" he had been charging us for he would have known that the rotor he charged me for should have ended up on the truck but it didn't. When Mike was confronted, he told me to name my price to keep me quiet because he KNOWS he is a crook. He falsifies documents and has no problem lying to your face. He also will report these repairs he does not do to CARFAX. This affects the HISTORY and VALUE of your vehicle!! BEWARE. We paid OVER 8 thousand dollars to have a head gasket and a ton of other engine work done on our truck. The overheating issue was never fixed and after being nickel and dimed more by Mike at Next Gen...we took it elsewhere just to find out none of the work we originally paid for was ever even done. As a result, the motor is blown up. 8k worth of work paid for and not done, 16500 as of now (to start) to replace the damage. This doesn't even cover the repeated charges to diagnose the original problem over and over again or other related costs associated with the loss of this truck. This has been devastating to us financially and to our ranch. Next Gen/Mike's response to the photos and the complaint is that they are just an example of the new shop trying to scam me and we should get back in touch with him so he can explain. Oh yes, and how hurt he is because he thought we were friends and I should be worried about a defamation suit. Another example of his manipulation tactics. As a woman who owned an auto repair shop many years ago I too have seen hundreds of heads and gaskets. His claim of we wouldn't know what we are looking at because we are not mechanics is laughable. I am the one who took the pictures and I was there when the head came off, there is NO way a brand new head gasket would be rusted and welded to the pitted, cracked, rusted block if it was just in fact replaced. It is of utmost importance we spread the word to everyone about our experience with Mike and Next Gen to save as many as we can from this individual and the heartache he caused. read more

Be weary of high costs to simply diagnose your vehicle WITHOUT TELLING YOU! Horrible experience. Not the first mechanic to embellish the hours spent fixing a vehicle. I dropped my truck off and asked that they please call before any major work is done or once they know the issue. I had to call them to find out my bill was already $220. When I called 30 minutes later they jumped it to $370. When I arrived the incredibly unprofessional owner demanded a cash payment only. (Probably because he receives a lot of charge backs for excessive diagnostic cost) They changed a relay and a fuse, and corrected a ground wire. I am a business owner, I understand it costs what it costs, but I always inform my customers what the cost will be per hour before I go to work. No surprises. Steer clear of this joke of a business. read more

Excellent service and great quality and the value is great and they answer any questions you have best place for a good no bs mechanic

In this day and age finding honest and caring truthful mechanics is probably more stressful especially when we all are trying to take care of our families and just life in general. And in Arizona, a car is almost as important as water. Get stuck out here and have to use public transportation out here it's terrible. But having someone tell you the truth and do honest work and actually really caring in this kind of industry is very important. That's why you go by word of mouth and people have someone they have been going to for years. Because you can't just go to "anybody" because anybody is probably going to try to get the most they can out of your situation as they can, because odds are your not coming back there and the honesty factor is a big gamble and in a lot of situations with your car it's 90% chance it's an emergency and it needs to be fixed right away and most mechanics know that and you can be taken advantage of at that moment because you are in desperate a do or die situation and many times your job and family are counting on that car to us all afloat. Mike, Rick, and Ashley in probably my most horrible time actually restored my faith in too many things that I had lost faith in..If you really need that old school mechanic or shop and staff of yesterday that you could also consider a "FRIEND" This is where you "NEED" to take your car and your peace of mind and know the work is going to absolutely be done correctly and also leaving you in peace that you are not being taken advantage of as I explained earlier. Even if you are on the westside, southside, Mesa, Tempe, Chandler Even where I am from in Pinetop-Lakeside this is where you have to at least give a try if you need to find that shop you can always count on and know you don't have to sit there on your phone frantically searching in that time of desperation and know you can bring your most important tool in Arizona, your car! I even spoke with other customers and they reiterated what I found out in my one time experience. Sorry, this is long but when you find something people in our community like this it needs to be praised and given a big shout out as loud as I can. Ashley, Mike, and Rick thank you for giving much more back than just my car repaired. Thank you for a lifelong memory. Thank you from Timothy and Micah!!! read more

our car broke down down the road and this shop was the closest one so we decided to push the car and the owner and one of the employees ran out to catch us and help push the car the rest of the way. they immediately started to work on the car and fixed the problem very quick and we were back on the road in no time. great great customer service. read more

These guys are the most trustworthy in Phoenix when it comes to car repairs. Brought my car in for a dead alternator and without additional charge they also fixed my A/C (that I didnt know needed fixing but it blew cooler air after). Came back to get my car checked before a one-way move to the east coast, had a bad radiator, needed a new belt, and had bad shock absorption on my tires. They showed me everything and explained what was most important to fix before my trip and what i could get away with fixing after the trip. My bill came without a service fee! Great place, made it across the country just fine. Their honesty and service speaks for itself! read more

The BEST SERVICE I have received in a very long time! I needed the firing order for my vehicle, which I couldn't find anywhere, and without hesitation, took the time out of their busy holiday scheduled (Ashley and Mike owners) looked up the info.. Created a Screenshot and sent it right over to me! EVERY other shop, store, and company has taken down the information on the internet so that they can charge you for it! But not these good people! I would highly recommend them for anything because when you work from the heart, I feel as though your intentions are always good no matter what! I had never called this company or had any service with them prior to this, so they owed me nothing! Thanks again Ashley and Mike! read more

Absolutely fantastic service. I took my wife's car here after it being stuck at a Firestone for 2 weeks with issues for her Air conditioning to get fixed. Mike and Ashley kept me in the know the whole time and diagnosed the issue in a day and fixed and replaced everything that the Firestone wasnt able to. Since then they have been able to help with other issues with our vehicles as well. Top notch business and highly recommended. read more

Fantasic service! We heard a noise with our shuttle bus and brought it into Next Gen. We really appreciate Mike and his team! read more

If your looking for a stand up, honest car shop, this is it. Really good, honest people. Ashley is the nicest lady to deal with. They are truly a rare find in the auto industry. I don't even leave yelps but I had to for this. Great shop!!! Thanks Next Gen!! read more

I've been looking for a good mechanic for the past few years and finally found one. The Auto shops with multiple locations tend to change personnel, and quality, honesty, and integrity can vary greatly. I do som work on my cars and can sniff out dishonesty fairly quickly. Next Generation is a family run shop you can depend on. Prices are good, service is good, and you know you'll be working with the same people every time. Trust is #1 in this industry and this is a shop you can trust. read more

Great group of people here. They went above and beyond in trying to repair a headlight problem on my dodge challenger and when the part was hard to locate they were able to find one and install it quickly. I would recommend this company. Good people. read more

After dealing with a shady and unprofessional mechanic at Meineke in Anthem I was vulnerable and upset I searched for a locally owned shop in Phoenix and found this shop the owner and wife were able to fix my car and gave me a free oil change because I had the wrong oil in my car! The owner and his wife were super knowledgeable, helpful and friendly I would definitely recommend anyone to come to this auto shop they definitely know how to take care of their customers if I ever have anymore car problems I would definitely come back to this shop! Quality work at a fair price! Support your locally owned auto shops! :) read more

Going to the auto repair shop is kind of like going to the dentist for some people. What are they going to find and how much is it going to cost. It's not always a pleasant experience. I came across Mike a few years ago and he has been working on my cars ever since. Mike is very professional and an extremely knowledgeable master mechanic that takes the time to tell you what needs to be done and what can wait. I would highly recommend his shop to anyone looking for a good experience and wanting to save some money compared to what the dealerships will charge you. I plan on taking my vehicles to Mike for years to come. read more

Always honest and they do the best quality work. We found these guys because our check engine light was on, they checked it with no charge and let us know what was wrong. We have been coming here ever since, and have always had a good outcome with the car and great interactions with the shop owner. read more

Had a coolant leak pop up out of nowhere yesterday and called ahead and asked if they could take a look at it. Ashley was super nice on the phone and told me that she would let Mike know ahead of time I was stopping by. When I arrived Mike was quick, courteous and brought me back to show me the issue. Seeing as though it was a defective part from the manufacturer, Mike dropped what he was doing and gave me a temporary fix so I could continue to drive until the replacement part gets sent to me. I will definitely be bringing my car back here once I receive the replacement. Upfront, honest, and knowledgeable are the 3 most important qualities in a shop, and this place is all of the above. read more

Send your business their way! These guys treat their customers right. Excellent service, repairs and the price is right. They have saved us last minute on multiple occasions and we will continue to bring in our vehicles to them for repair and upkeep. The staff is professional and friendly and super knowledgeable. The shop is always clean. They explain the issues they find and let you know just exactly what the repairs entailed. No questions asked! No hassle. HIGHLY RECOMMEND NEXT GENERATION AUTO!! read more

I recently had my truck at the dealership because the check engine light came on. Of course it was 3000 miles after my 100K warranty expired. They told me I needed a new NOx sensor and to replace the thermostats, among other things. I took it to Next Generation for a second opinion, because I had had them replace a fuel pump in a VW Touareg, and was happy with the work they did on it. Mike (owner of Next Gen) suggested replacing the thermostats first because they were throwing off the truck's computer. When the truck was re-diagnosed, it turned to be a different sensor that was the problem. Definitely saved me some money. Mike seems like a very intelligent, honest mechanic. I will be recommending him to my friends. read more

Very knowledgeable and friendly. They have treated my mom 1992 Escort amazingly. I will never go elsewhere!

Had a great experience at Next Generation Auto Repair. Mike and his team did a variety of services for my vehicle and they did a great job.

Excellent service! Mike and his team took care of me in such a timely fashion and went the extra mile. They're the guys you need!

Recently, my car wouldn't start, and thankfully I had it towed to Next Generation. They ran a full diagnosis, and found that I needed a new starter instead of a battery. I have dealt with so many auto repair shops that try to take advantage and lie to their customers to get them to spend more money than needed. However, Next Generation is a family owned business, and they were very honest and trustworthy. This is the first place I felt like I was actually being cared for and helped properly. Weeks later, my car is now running great with no problems! I definitely recommend going here if you want to receive quality care and not be ripped off. read more
