I have done customer service my entire adult career. The manager Barry at this location provides customer service second to none. Very compassionate and always looking out for his customers. I did not end up performing the recommended repairs at this location after the diagnosis determined the repair was not in our best interest due to the value of the vehicle and continued problems with the vehicle itself. Our Nissan Juke was the problem not this shop. Thank you Barry for making sure our teenage son received the same top notch service we enjoy at the Greulich Deer Valley location.

The car was returned for additional diagnosis ($300) where then they suggested a new AC system totaling $4100. I opted for a second opinion from another mechanic who identified water in the system, vacuumed it out and added freon for $240 - problem solved. Literally cost more for not fixing the problem than another mechanic that was able to remediate the issue. Next, my wife's car needed multiple push button starts to start the engine. Had it towed to Wilhelm and they diagnosed it was the brake light switch and that it needed to be "tightened", costing $217. After a couple of days, the same problem kept happening. I did my own research, watched a two minute YouTube tutorial, ordered a new brake light switch ($11) and replaced it myself in about 45 seconds. When I asked them what warranted charging us $217 for something that didn't address the problem, I was told it was for diagnostics, and they would be happy to replace the switch for only $100 plus parts. My experience left me feeling that Wilhelm is either highly unethical, incompetent, or both.

Most recently, I brought my 2014 Jeep Wrangler in for an oil change, tire rotation, and brake fluid flush. During the visit, I received both a phone call and a message informing me that my brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced. Since I am capable of doing brake work myself, a friend and I inspected the brakes today before proceeding with any repairs. What we found was concerning. The brake pads still have approximately 75% of their life remaining, and the rotors are in good condition with less than 20,000 miles of wear. There was absolutely no need for either component to be replaced. This experience has caused me to question the accuracy and integrity of the inspections being performed. A few months earlier, I paid Sun Devil Auto to flush the radiator coolant, differential fluid, and transmission fluid. Given the incorrect recommendation regarding my brakes, I am now left wondering whether those services were actually completed as billed. I understand that mistakes can happen, but recommending unnecessary brake work is a serious issue that undermines trust. They printed the receipt to which I saw was $75. I again asked for clarification as to what I was getting and wasn't given much. I went inside to pay hoping they could better explain what this included. Apparently the "light" detail was originally $110 and my membership discounts got it down to $75. I then went outside and my car was already done (10 min max). I would be totally fine paying this is there was any attention to detail and that in numerous spots left in my car that looks like they barely even touched it with a rag. They also didn't even move the floor mats to vacuum under those. I suggest that you also educated your people as 1) none of them could tell me what the membership they sold me last time got me and 2) what exactly the $110 detail got me as it seems like not much.
