It gets packed but there's plenty of room to wait which is nice. Highly recommend for coffee in Solomons!

We've driven past it at least a hundred times and had never stopped...it took my son sending me a snap of his breakfast one morning for us to finally give them a try...then we were hooked! This is our go to spot for breakfast. It's delicious down home country cooking. Kinda reminds me of the restaurant in the movie My Cousin Vinny lol Everything is made fresh to order and the prices can't be beat! Our typical bill for the 4 of us for food, drinks, and tip is $35-4. (I'm hoping to be able to stop in for lunch one afternoon soon because I've heard it is equally as excellent as breakfast.) It's definitely a locals spot so it can be hard to get a table...Sunday morning after 9 a.m. or so you might as well forget about it LOL They also do breakfast sandwiches to go (I've ordered those several times now) and unlike a lot of the other local places (Chaptico Market I'm talking to you!) they are made fresh to order not sitting under a hot lamp. FYI they only accept cash so be sure to hit the atm before you go! Went for breakfast this morning, it was amazing as usual! They've recently updated their menus so I wanted to share

I remember buying a Bike there in the 90s when it was Still called Blue wind, but obviously it was a bike shop at the time. They had a pretty extensive menu of Sandwiches, wraps and salads(All light fare) and some very good looking specials, I had the "garbage" sandwich with a side salad. Fairly large sandwich. Loaded with turkey, Pulled Pork, Ham, Swiss and a BBQ sauce on a Ciabatta roll. Great Flavor, very yummy sandwich, But it was just a tiny bit cold in the middle still(A VERY minor complaint). Side Salad was solid, with a great dressing. The Lemonade was also good if a bit on the Sweet side. Service was also very friendly. Definitely 5 stars. Will be going back the next time I am in the Area.

I found Blue Wind Gourmet searching for Yelp to fuel up after a business meeting and before a long drive in the rain (east coast in February!). I was a bit confused when I walked in. The space is a wine and chocolate bar and has a hipster wine bar look which is suprising for the area. They also have sandwiches (including crab cake) and soup (crab & corn chowder) so I ordered both and settled in. Coffee for me, no wine (too early), but the wine selection looks impressive. The food came out in maybe 5 minutes, hot and fresh. The crab chowder was delicious, plenty of identifiable crab lumps and good flavor. The crab cake also had crab lumps, not just shredded crab. I did wish the sandwich was a bit bigger though. It was maybe about 3 inches square. Service was prompt and friendly too.

We ordered the crab pot pie, heritage burger, risotto balls and a small portion of the short ribs. Pot pie crust was great but a bit on the salty side. The burger was cooked well and beef tasted very fresh. Our favorite was the risotto balls and short ribs. The risotto was crispy, a bit cheesy and paired with a really solid marinara sauce. The short ribs were cooked perfectly, melted in the mouth and paired with mashed potatoes. Service was a bit slow since they were really busy but the waiter apologized for the wait and checked in several times throughout the night.
