On my first visit to S&L an extremely helpful young man brought garbage cans to my vehicle to put my recycling in, helped me empty it out of my vehicle, helped me sort it, and then carried the cans to the scale. Everything he did was out in the open, transparent, and the scale had a Butte County seal on it. I'm happy with the amount of money that I received. I'll definitely be doing all of my CRV recycling here from now on.

Most staff members have come across as impolite, and often there's little to no eye contact or basic acknowledgment of the customer. Customer service really sets the tone for a business, especially when handling quick service tasks like returns. There's definitely significant room for improvement in how customers are greeted and assisted. I genuinely hope management takes this as constructive feedback and works toward creating a friendlier, more attentive environment. I wish them well and hope to see positive changes in the future.

Terrible experience, I rented a unit on Thursday the 30th of December. When I went to put my thing…read morein the unit on Saturday I found the unit was dirty and had chemical residue all around the unit. See photos. I realized that the manager was not available on the weekend so I called Monday the 3rd to inform them of the dirty unit. I was told that they knew it was dirty, auto parts had been stored there, and would wash it out on Tuesday but I had to move my stuff out. I decided to not rent as I didn't want to have the chemicals on my things. When I move my things out on Tuesday the 4th of January, I called and let them know that I would like to cancel my rental due to the dirty unit I was told they would not refund me for the month, because they told me already no prorated rental fees. I would recommend not renting for this business. Update: Manager call and refunded all of the fees I paid.
