Staff kindly offered me a few options for my book cover and I eventually decided to use brown paper. I got my new book and covered it with protective paper on the spot. They are very accommodating. They didn't have any small sizes, but I figured I could make a medium work since I didn't wanna go home empty-handed. Over the years, I misplaced all of my stuff from my college days, so I jumped at the opportunity to find a replacement while on my way to Sac for the weekend. The store doesn't offer posters of the university or of anything really, except the egghead sculptures. No thanks. They do offer plenty of gifts and accessories though, including a collection of UCD sanrio products. Being on campus, of course they sell electronics as well as textbooks downstairs. When making my purchase, the staff ran into technical issues at the front counter, but they eventually found a resolution without too much of a delay. Parking is free on Saturdays and Sundays.

But most of the main comics that would you would expect are there. They have a huge selection of dollar comics. At least 30 boxers. So much fun to look through for some old comics to complete a run. They have a whole long box full of signed comics if you are into that. They also have about 30 long boxes full of complete runs that you can buy. I could spend hours in that store.

I've met a couple DJ's and fellow students running the Radio Station, and all have been super friendly! Also, they do have opportunities to volunteer/intern, so just inquire. They run under the ASUCD but I don't know too much about that, in that department! Just see if you like their music and talk shows. Switch to 90.3FM and maybe you'll catch my voice! They are known to be an Independent/Freeform Radio Station, so they have the freedom to choose music ranging from indie, alternative rock, or jazz! Also, they do have news segments from various News Interns and Volunteers. They actually are known to have the largest vinyls collection at a Public University in the USA. Props to them! They have more alternative rock, but be open minded when you listen. :)

We play everything and I mean everything on this station, from talk to rock to dub to punk to classical to jazz to hiphop to triphop etc. Okay, maybe not everything but enough to keep the listener guessing and I believe that's the creed of the station, it's to let the listener gain the experience that comes from not knowing what is going to play on the radio, an advantage that isn't liberally available to some people. I enjoy spilling my guts on the station and playing tunes that hopefully keep the residents of Davis and those passing by happy or at least interested. The station is family oriented with a small production crew that also teeters in film and television production. Yeah, I love working here.

On the left side, there were caramels and almond bark - just a great variety of stuff. The guy hooked me up with a box of 6 for $ 12 for the lady and even offered me a free sample. I tried the creme de menthe, which was excellent - I'm a big fan of mint. The dude behind the counter, Sammy, was super friendly, humble, and genuinely seemed like a nice guy. I'd definitely come back here again for some chocolate from Sunny. If you're in the area, stop by. There's coffee nearby too, so if you like your coffee and chocolates, go for it!
