While it is the last anchor remaining and the facility has changed greatly, this small JCPenney store employs friendly staff, stocks good merchandise, and isn't overly crowded. The mall itself is pretty much dead. I admit I miss the old days, shopping at Gottchalks, Mervyn's, and Penney's, along with all the great small stores... but alas those days are gone. What's left is JCPenney. I hope it sticks around for many years to come.

This is my fav clothing store to go when I visit the area for 3 reasons:…read more 1. It's not crowded, cluttered, or disorganized. 2. While there isn't a huge a selection, almost anything I see looks almost new, or barely worn, so I'm not as iffy about the clothes. 3. While the clothes aren't "cheap" they are much cheaper than what I could get for things like dresses/sweaters,etc.

A coworker told me about this gem that's so close to work, I can easily swing by during lunch or after work. It's dangerously convenient! I scored a Coach bag for 50% off, which was a steal. My latest find was a pair of loafers I'd been on the hunt for, and they were also half off. The selection here is a step up from thrift stores, but still totally budget-friendly. I've picked up some great work outfits, plus jeans and casual stuff, too. The shop is well-organized and easy to browse. It's located on Main Street, between First and College. There's street parking, and also a lot around the corner on College. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

Not sure what buddy with the deep voice in the front as security is trying to compensate for, but…read morehe shouts "welcome" in a way that's more threatening than welcoming. Frequent Ross shoppers kind of know nowadays to open your bag to show your recent purchases and receipt. I did that but as I was walking towards the security guy he was already muttering what sounded like bad words and he seemed annoyed or stressed. He yanked my bag open and threw my receipt in as he sighed and practically disregarded me. Funnily enough a man after me he greeted with total respect and even eye contact as he walked out of the store with a farewell to him and only him. Either way, he was very unpleasant, rude, disrespectful, and had an arrogant demeanor about him that was just unprofessional as a whole. I understand the need to maybe seem "intimidating" as you are working security, however the blatant sexism and complete lack of respect is just uncalled for and quite frankly offensive and gross. Bad days are understandable but even I don't put out my personal feelings or negative attitudes on customers, let alone strangers. I hope Ross or the management team are aware of his behavior and maybe bring in people more professional and respectful on as security, because that interaction was ridiculous, enraging, and flat out unacceptable.
