I rented a car from this location and was satisfied the first time I rented a car. The second time I had to rent a car I was very dissatisfied. I was not told until minutes before the time I was supposed to pick up my rental that no one could pick me up. I was told that information after I waited an hour or so. I understand they were short staff for communication goes a long way. I will never rent from this location again. read more

Can't figure out why the Enterprise insists on locking everybody out of the obituaries. You have to PAY to read about friends and family who pass away. Ridiculous! It used to be easy to read and now, when you click on a person's obituary, you can't read it unless you pay an exorbitant fee to subscribe. Very disappointing. read more

I am a long time subscriber and have a special place in my heart for the Davis Enterprise. I met my husband because of the Enterprise. He came to an event after seeing a blurb in the newspaper and I came to the event with the friends who organized it. The rest is history. The newspaper is a great source for local news. My favorite columns are Comings and Goings by Wendy Weitzel and The Wary I by Bob Dunning. It was disappointing when the paper reduced it's publication to just three days a week but they still provide great information. They do offer a discount for seniors but you have to ask. They also gladly take back the rubber bands and bags used to deliver the paper. There is a bin right inside the door of their downtown Davis building and you'll receive a cheery "Thank you" when you drop them off. read more

I used to read the Davis Enterprise frequently online until they started charging for access to their online articles. Really - they expect people to pay for their mediocre coverage of Davis news? This is quite lame considering that just about every major newspaper offers their articles in exchange for a free registration online. Excellent newspaper for a small city like Davis. I'm a long time time subscriber. The Davis Enterprise is a strong supporter of the community and does a good job covering local news. If it has a fault I'd say the Enterprise spreads on the boosterism a little too heavily at times at the expense of covering the darker side of Davis news. To be fair though, Davis doesn't have that much of a dark side. Columnist Bob Dunning's take on Davis politics is not to be missed. read more

Absolutely the worst newspaper I have ever read. The Enterprise employees that write the articles often use the paper as a platform to voice their opinions, rather than facts. I would not waste a dime on a subscription to this paper. It's not worth reading. read more

I've subscribed to the Davis Enterprise since I moved here in 2006. It's my source of what's happening in town! It has great reporting and local sports coverage that you can't get anywhere else! They're also very supportive of local non-profits and let them run an article in the paper written by one of their own volunteers on a regular basis. I've never seen any other paper do that. The subscription rate is a bargain and if I'm on vacation, I can access it on line! If you want to be up on what's going on, it's the paper to take! read more

As a homeowner and taxpayer to the community, The Davis Enterprise is, unfortunately, just about the only way to keep current on these issues. I appreciate the Enterprise's coverage of news that effects the local economy and quality of life. However, way too much newsprint is spent on trivial pursuits, particularly local sports. I don't care if Little Johnny made 3 home runs in a Little League game, and I can get any and all professional sports coverage on multiple television stations, if for some stupid reason I cared about them. I really don't want to have to pay to dispose an entire section of a newspaper in the recycle bin on a daily basis. How about just one sports section a week; that would make alot more sense AND save a lot of trees. That's why I'm discontinuing my subscription of The Davis Enterprise. read more
