Great post office…read more For such a little post office, they are fast and they know what they are doing. I go far out of my way to use this post office because I know they are good at what they do. If I use them my package is less likely to get lost. Stop by and give em a try. The worst that can happen is, you spend an extra five minutes chatting with one of the wonderful clerks. I like to think that those big blue mail drop boxes are some kind of Doctor Who like portals for our mailmen. Maybe that's how they are able to get all the mail out so fast.

Packages are left ON TOP of the row of postal boxes...for anyone to steal if they so wish!! Also the postal boxes looks like they have been there since the 50's... mail is CRAMED into these itty bitty boxes, letters that say "do not fold" haven't got a chance in hell of surviving! WE need new LARGER postal boxes and the parcel boxes outside (have to have a key to get into, so the packages are safe) need to up-dated so packages can be left out there instead of on TOP of our mail boxes!!! Come on Auburn...get your crap together and do right by your senior citizens. Thanks.

From my separate City of Auburn review:…read more Auburn is an attractive city, especially Old Town Auburn, which attracts passersby on the highway between Reno and Sacramento with the quaint architecture on a hill flanked by a giant sculpture. Its small-town charm is likely why movies like Rocky and Bullwinkle, Breakdown, Wisdom, and xXx had scenes shot here, but the town relates most to the 1996 John Travolta movie Phinome Phenomin Phenomm Look Who's Talking. The guy who discovered gold here in 1849 was memorialized by Ken Fox with a 45-ton concrete (rebar and wire mesh) statue at the entrance of Old Town. Ken Fox was a dentist able to do this in between teeth cleanings and forcing customers to look at super close-up pictures of their teeth in order to sell "special deep teeth cleaning" by the quadrant. This dentist has more "Great Statues" in the area which you'd likely find ful-"filling". Get it? Anyway, it's right off the highway, so stop there and check out Old Town. Walk friendly but not sure if ADA friendly. Dog friendly, at least at the brewery. :) Service - Good, everyone we met was friendly. Price - Depends on where you shop, eat, and drink. Owner Comment - What a great fun town, looking forward to coming back soon when I have more time.

The postage rates are the same as every other office in the United States. I love small towns businesses. The building is historic. The building even has a G on it. The G means it's a Great building. Most importantly I appreciate the blue stoic guardian(the mailbox) that stands as a sentinel in front of this amazing building. Rain or shine(mostly shine it's CA after all) he takes our burdens and relays them to the postmaster for sorting and sending. One time I saw a dog lifting his leg to the blue mailbox as he would a fire hydrant. It was despicable and it gave me more appreciation for everything the mailbox goes though. Thank you USPS.

Every employee I have encountered has been lovely, patient and kind with me. Recently, I was having a bad day. Tapped out emotionally and financially, and I may have vented to the woman helping me. I was making fun of myself for grabbing some snacks and saying it was my lunch. She was so empathetic to my plight and we bonded over Slim Jim's. After my transaction I handed one of my Slim Jim's to her and she said "No, that's for you! I bought it for you" It was such a small gesture but it felt enormous in that moment. I love this location and all of their staff, especially this particular young woman who made my entire week with her generosity!

I Didn't have much knowledge on shipping my own stuff which is why I relied on someone to maybe HELP??? Do her JOB??? I just needed one more thing packed (took like 1 minute) by them and some labels printed. I was asked some questions at first but quickly caught on that it was to print labels which I already had QRs for. She got upset cause I didn't bring that up but i literally walked in and asked to package one quick thing and HAVE LABELS PRINTED. We were only on this for one minute before I showed the QRs and most likely saved time because I already had these saved on my phone as screenshots. This was actually a quick process but unnecessarily longer than it should've been. I don't even leave reviews but this was such a bad experience that it felt necessary. I didn't get a name tag or care enough to go get it but it was an old lady with white hair and she shouldn't be working here. Try to avoid or else you'll walk out with your good vibes/mood ruined. I've had no other issues with FedEx

I wrapped the shoe box up very carefully with, I thought was an approved method using heavy duty postal paper and clear postal tape . . I got to this UPS store and was told it had to be a box inside of a box. For a nominal fee, they would sell me a box. I said no, I went home and put the shoebox in the only box I had which was 10 times bigger than the shoe box and they took it. And you wonder why UPS is laying off 20,000 people.
