After about a week of writing my first review, I came back to order the same taro smoothie and there was a big difference! In a good way of course. The taro flavor popped out more and definitely more flavorful! Thumbs up for that! I love also that the texture was more smoothie than that thick creamy texture and I really appreciated the effort. Buuut it was more on the watery side than smoothie. I see what you guys did and I feel very grateful. But it could get better and I know it will! Honestly it's good to know that a restaurant actually reads these reviews and to experience that first hand is nice. Gonna be going to this place for years to come! My son and I love, love, love the Tapioca Master! From their great customer service to their feshly made smoothies and even to their quaint little spot we are so happy to have found this place. Now I can have dessert and not feel like I just consumed hundreds of calories to do so. I've been to this place at least every month, if not every week or two since it opened. It's that good! I love their wide selection of tea and smoothies. My go-tos are the black tea and jasmine tea while my family tends to order the avocado alot. Never a bad experience at this place. The owner/manager is always welcoming. I go there so much, she already knows my name, lol. She can recommend some drinks, tapioca, and jelly combination too if you're not sure which boba to try. There's also an option to do half sugar if you find the drinks too sweet! It's located in a small shopping strip but there's always parking available (at least the times that I've been there). When this place first started moving in on the corner of Jones I was worried, because the end cap that it's on appeared cursed. Each business (mostly phone joints) kept going out. Coupled with the long time for them to open, I was worried that the curse would continue. However, now that it's open my concerns were quashed. While in the past there's been a few teahouses on this side of town, I don't think any of them really compare to Tapioca Master. The prices are just right, and the fact they have so many options and don't offer strictly milk tea and smoothie options is wonderful. The fact you can ask to add less sugar to your order is great and something I have yet to see anywhere else. The free samples each day are also a really nice touch and let you try some of the menu. The interior is a wonderful set up, and a very nice atmosphere. On my first visit was VERY impressed with the cashier and how helpful everyone was. On our second visit they were willing to customize our request for a honeydew milk tea (they don't have it on the menu, only honeydew on menu was a smoothie and we aren't big fans of smoothies) and let us order it. Personally I'm a big fan of their flavored teas. The peppermint green tea was great! If you come regularly they have a loyalty program that definitely is worth getting in on. I'm really happy to see this place crop up on my side of town, and close to home as well. I'm more than happy to support this local business and really hope they continue to maintain a wonderful reputation and stay in business. I wouldn't mind seeing more food options to accompany the tapioca drinks (they currently really only offer cookies and snacks such as chips) but for what it is I am a very satisfied, happy and loyal customer. read more

It's strange that Yelp doesn't show this place when you put "highest rated" into the search. I had to zoom in with the mobile app for it to pop up. Either way, it's not really fair to the business here because they deserve better. The boba is perfectly made and the fruit slushies actually taste like real fruit, so they don't use powder like some other places. While everyone has different taste preferences when it comes to sugar, you can always ask them to make it less sweet, which is also a plus. The seating area and very clean, which one can appreciate. It is moderately lit for studying if needed, and the A/C is on but not blasting so you don't freeze to death. There is a television, there are board games, and there is even a sign letting you know when someone is new and being trained. The biggest surprise to me is that someone came around after you started consuming your drink to ask you how it is. Normally only found in restaurants, it seems like everyone here wants to make your drink right. I'm glad I made the trip to try this place, and Yelp needs to let this place show up in the mobile app search... I was super happy to see a new Tapioca place open up in my area. This place is really cute, has a lot of seating and an area to play board games. I also really enjoyed that they had a little tray full of samples that were numbered so you could see what flavor it was you were tasting. I ordered their Mango slushie and it was delicious. Stopped here when I was visiting Houston because I had a craving for boba! While parking is limited and there's 1 designated spot, with a sign, for Tapioca Master customers only, there's additional parking behind the print shop. While I was looking at the menu, the cashier (I believe his name was Devin) just stared at me so I felt a bit rushed to place my order even though there was nobody waiting to order. We asked him what the difference between the green cream tea and the black cream tea was and his response was very blah. He responded that "um I don't know...I guess *haha* one is less nasty than the other" nasty? Hello...if you're trying to describe how something tastes to a customer, you don't say it's nasty! Silly. Anyway, he was nice enough to give me a sample of egg pudding because he didn't know how to describe it. I ended up ordering my go to drink of thai tea with regular boba, and added egg pudding. Very tasty! Creamy, not too much of a strong tea taste and the boba was nice and fresh. Egg pudding added a nice touch to the drink. The person I was with ordered the green cream tea and she said it was tasty so that's a plus! Interior is very nice and relaxing, I love the glass display with tea pots and other decorative pieces inside. The chairs are very comfortable and overall the vibe is really relaxing and a nice place to catch up with someone. They don't serve popcorn chicken or any of that but they do sell small bags of chips and muffins. A nice lady came out from behind the counter to talk to some regular customers and ask how they've been, how they liked their drinks, etc which I liked, I love when owners have a relationship with their customers. I have recently started drinking Bubble drinks and this is by far the best spot so far. Since I'm new to it it was very helpful that they had samples available. The cashier was very sweet and made suggestions. I ended up getting the taro smoothie with the small tapioca and it was delicious. I got mine to go since it was about 45 minutes to closing but the atmosphere is very welcoming. I absolutely love the fact that she was patient with me even though it was close to closing. The owner is the friendliest and sweetest person I've ever come across, I've worked at restaurants and lemme tell you, being so positive and sweet despite coming across rude, demanding customers is very difficult (at least for me lol) I watched her handle a few rude people with grace and kindness. Many props to her, she is an angel, I would've went off on them personally haha. Their matcha boba tea is the best I've ever had, it is even a dairy-free! I love that they have a loyalty program, which is so helpful for me as a college student, its a great spot for me to come and study and relax. Very clean and welcoming atmosphere. Tapioca master is always an explosion to my taste buds! Sometimes they'll make a small mistake to the order (changing it from a slushie to a smoothie) but honestly I'm always happy when it happens because it is STILL just as good! My friend and I come once a week usually, and we absolutely love it here. Not only are the drinks out of this world, but the staff are amazing and just as sweet as the drinks. They also have some games on a shelf you can play with your friends, so it only adds to the overall nice and cozy ambiance. So glad to have a Tapioca house near the Willowbrook/Cypress area. Good location and the owners make sure you're enjoying yourself. I liked the "free sample" bowl. Offering some of the not so popular flavors like Lychee or Avocado would be nice though. I know what Mango and Strawberry Banana smoothies taste like. Still a nice touch to offer that. Prices are fair, about 4$ per drink and 50 cents extra for tapioca. Good variety. No Durian however, not that I'm a fan of it myself but just wanted to give you guys the heads up. Nice and comfortable coffeehouse-like set up inside, good place to chill with the family or friends. Their frequent customer system is pretty good. They simply ask for your number and next time you come in you give it to them and they'll keep track of how much you've spent with them. Once you've spent 40$ you get 4$ toward your next visit. I liked giving them my number better instead of keeping a punch card that will get lost over time in the washer with the pants I was wearing that day. No spam texts or calls, I made sure to ask. Favorites are mango or peach mango smoothie, taro coconut smoothie, most of the teas, and recently, the mango madness bubble waffle! They need to place the Bubble Waffle Menu larger and more noticeable. Or make posters of it. So that more ppl try it and they can keep making it! It's so unique (never seen it at any tapioca place and I've been to several), and it was so good! Had some munchies, and a drink wouldn't be enough so this hit the spot!
