Blown away, this salon should be a training model for salons everywhere!! I'll be driving back down from Dallas from now on, instead of going anywhere else. Seriously!! I came to Austin for a wedding, and was really nervous about having to get myself presentable in a setting I'm unfamiliar with. I called and talked with the owner (and for as much as we talked i completely forgot to ask her name!!) She was polite, flexible, and gave me pricing over the phone and set me an appointment for the next morning. She was so sweet, knowledgeable, direct, professional, efficient, truly made me feel welcome and comfortable. She gave me options on pricing and estimated my time, since she knew I had a deadline to get ready, and went out of her way to make sure I got the right color. Her husband and daughter were there also, and when I tell you that man did miracles for my feet, I mean if the Lord had felt how soft they were he would have thought He had given me new ones! He was gentle yet thorough, with both mani and pedi, and taught me about the dip manicure, which has become my absolute Go-To now. I also got my lashes done, which was in a super sanitary, private back room. It was painless, she gave me all the warnings and made sure I was comfortable and didn't have any reactions. She was fast and gentle, and they're the best set of lashes I've ever had, at the best price!! To top it all off, the daughter (man i feel like a jerk for not asking their names now!!!!) Was such a huge help, because as I was getting my lashes done my boyfriend kept calling to see if I was ready, and I couldn't answer my phone! She totally helped me out, gave him the address, and didn't make me feel like an idiot at all. Whole family, super kind, humble, professional, and warm. Worst nail salon I've been to in the greater Austin area. Had an appointment with a friend to get our mani/pedis on and still took them 3 hours to complete - and the results were SO horrible. I have natural nails and do gel on the toes, SNS dip on the hands...no designs, no tips, nothing that would be challenging at all! Shabby little place and although they were nice enough, I could have done a better job dipping my own nails. Bumpy, lumpy and tragic looking. While I was getting a manicure, the nail tech accidentally cut my skin while filing my nails because he was holding the file at an odd angle. He said, "sorry" and held tissue to the cut until it stopped bleeding. I said it was okay, these things happen. I didn't realize how deep the cut was until later that afternoon when it started bleeding again. Over 24 hours later, it still really hurts. The owner contacted me with a really nice message. Problems always happen, no matter what business you're in. I think how the business handles the problem distinguishes a good business from a not-so-good business. The message from the owner was appreciated. If my next experience there is good, I'll update to five stars. Update: This is my new favorite no-nonsense nail salon. The search is over. I can't say enough good things about Mya and her work. I got the pink and white solar nails. She is a master at it. She didn't over file my natural nails and listened to me when I told hee the length I wanted. After applying the solar powder, she started to work on the shape and made sure I was happy. I was real impressed when she finished filing and asked for me to look it over and let her know if i saw anything she needed to fix. It was all perfect but it made an impression on me since most of the time that is not the case at all and you say something needs to be fixed and the person doing your nails will get offended. I went to get a pedicure and dip on my nails. When the woman began doing by nails, she began to rip my dip off with a nail tip. She ripped two of my nails off before I asked her to switch to shellac. She then charged me $15 to take off my dip and charged me $45. read more

So I came BACK to see Mya and she was sooo honest w me-we had to take the nails off and let it heal and grow out naturally. And what's funny was the other salon was just gonna put a new nail over it. I remember the first time my daughter and I went for a pedicure at this salon. They were speaking in a different language that we did not understand which was fine because my daughter and I has our own conversation going on. The owner stopped talking and proceeded to tell my daughter and I what their conversation was about. I've never had anyone in a nail salon ever do anything like that. My daughter and I joined in on their conversation. After seeing how she went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable I knew she would be the one I would spend my money with. Even though the salon is located in Pflugerville my daughter and I drive from South Austin for her services. She is on time, she prefers appointment and never overbooks, she also does really nice nails, lashes and I love how she arches our eye brows. Oh they do decent nails but the owner and her husband are petty and sit and talk about people during your whole experience. I'll just say this, you never know who speaks your language so it is best to refrain from talking negatively about your customers at all. I noticed my coworkers eye lashes and eyebrows they looked so natural and she recommended this place and she don't give it the justice it deserved !The Lady and gentleman that was there was very polite and attentive I made an appointment for 1145 made there I waited for 39 minuets due to the lady in front of me but the gentleman explained that it would be a few minutes more and asked if I needed anything to drink ( very nice) the lady who did my eyelashes was very gentle and courteous which I appreciate that. I just moved to Pflugerville about 2 weeks ago, and was desperately in need of a pedicure and eyebrow wax. After googling "nail salons," a crap load came up. The reviews of New Nails were all very high (on here and Yelp), and they were close so I decided to give them a try. I showed up at around 6pm, an hour before they close for the day. I had just worked a 10 hour shift, and was frustrated with my boyfriend so I needed to just relax. As I was in the chair and the gentleman started my pedicure, I got a call from my best friend and vented to her, and once I was off the phone, he and I started conversing. I believe the quality of work must always be high here, based off the reviews, but I think he also took notice of how frustrated and upset I was during my phone call. We had great conversation, and he was extremely attentive, perfecting my French tip nails and ensuring I was relaxed. I wish I could better put into words how grateful I am to have had such a relaxing experience, because it was truly needed. The pricing was more than fair, the service was absolutely outstanding, and my nails and eyebrows are perfect. I will DEFINITELY be back soon! read more
