It took twenty minutes to prepare our food. Our order was simply two Breakfast plates. A mini breakfast and a corned beef and eggs breakfast plate. The corned beef was from the can. My husband saw this place on yelp so we decided we checked it out. They located on mokauea Street in kalihi no dine in. Place your order through a takeout window. So my husband place our breakfast order and waited. How long does it takes to make breakfast? We'll i had their mini breakfast 1 egg, rice and Portuguese sausage. My husband had corn beef hash two eggs, and rice. Came home and to our surprised looks good. Egg was cooked perfect both scrambled and over easy. The corn beef hash was from the can. I went today because I was influenced by IG. LOL! I wanted to try the pork ung choi but it was all sold out! I wasn't good at choosing something to replace it on the spot. I chose the garlic mahi. It was not good! It was a battered mahi but it tasted off. I didn't taste much garlic but it really tasted like it was marinated in italian dressing. Good thing I got some fries as a last minute add on so I wasn't totally unsatisfied. Cats got the rest of the mahi. On a positive note, fries were ok. Rice and mac was good. The cashier lady was really friendly. I would go back again but definitely earlier. I wish I could see what was in the different bentos better. read more

Definitely a spot for cheap eatery, they have a variety of selection you can choose from! The lady at the takeout is the same lady we always encounter, always very pleasant. We normally order their breakfast food becuase it's on the cheaper option as breakfast on the go can be pricey at some places, and when we're not ordering breakfast my favorite would be the egg drop soup. I would say it's a hole in a wall king of spot, kept away in the industrial area of Kalihi, worth checking out if you ever have the time! read more

I was around the area and decided to stop in and check out the menu. Parking is very limited but street parking is available if lucky. Cashier was very nice and greeted me as I walked in. They had a very extensive menu that covered a wide variety. The Bento caught my eye which consist of furukaki rice, chicken katsu, slice of spam, teriyaki beef and mahi mahi with tartar sauce all for $9.95 which included tax. Everything was good but my favorite of all was the Mahimahi. The Teriyaki Beef was marinated to perfection, not to sweet not to tart. I also picked up a drink Raspberry Tea Snapple. The place looks a little run down, but I guess it gives it a more comfortable relaxing atmosphere. For the price I think is worth it. read more

Cheap eats! I usually get the fresh saimin, which is a fairly good size with veggies for only $2.75 and/or French toast (3 slices bread 2.25). The wor won ton (6.75) is also good, if you like a lot of won ton. I counted more than 10 last time. I usually ask for more veggies and less won ton. My coworker ordered the mini chicken katsu last month and got two cutlets (5.25). It was enough for two meals. The regular sized one was three cutlets. Unless you are a big eater or want a kanak attack, I would suggest sticking with the mini plates when available. Their stir-fry tends to be on the salty side. Lastly, there are items not on their takeout menu, like steamed fish, bittermelon with various meats, and mapo tofu. They all looked good, though I've only tried the steamed fish (7.75), prepared the traditional Cantonese way. With the exception of seafood and the regular beef plates, none of the items exceed $8.00. Cheap enough that you can afford to eat there at least once a week. And best of all, no msg is added to any of their dishes. read more

I came here before an after the new owners took over.You can taste the food was upgraded with the new chef,for one man he is fast.The breakfast special are great an you get the basic order or upgrade it if you want.They have a great cheeseburger special that includes fries an a twenty ounce drink for under $7.00. My husband's shop is in walking distance to this place so we come here often. First off, their drinks sizes S,M,L are good sizes! So when we had a hard days work, I like that I can order and lg drink and it's bigger than the super size at mcds. Their burgers and fries are always good, my hubby always get the BBQ chicken or chicken Katsu plates. The get your order out very quickly and the service is friendly. If you want to dine in, there's no a/c, but they do have fans going and two tables and a counter for seating. Growing up in would always walk here and grine the ono food here but since the change of owners (a few years now) it just isn't the same. The location of this joint is really convenient for those that work/live in the area, because there aren't much food joints to choose from. There are a few parking stalls out front and the dine in is pretty small too, maybe about 6 chairs total? It's best to call in your order just So you don't need to wait as long. I came here and ordered a bbq cheese burger and an order of French fries per my son's request and walked back to my grandparents house to eat. They were very generous with the French fries which I was happy about, almost getting to the bottom of the French fries there was something wierd looking. We stopped eating and began to poke at it, it had wings and big eyes, but it was the same color as the French fries so I thought it was a wierd shaped fry. Upon further examination it was a deep fried fly! Yes a deep fried fly!!! How disgusting, we almost ate all the fries to find out a fly was cooked with our fries. Worker got my order wrong and i went back to tell her. She sits there eating her lunch in front of the cashier and tells me that there is no such order when i specifically asked her over the phone. All I asked was to modify my noodles and I am pretty damn sure switching the noodles isn't going to change the recipe. Upon picking up my food, i came back to my office and the order was wrong. I went back to tell her my order was wrong and she tells me there is no just thing as what I ordered. i asked her if she could modify it and she specifically said yes over the phone when i was making a phone order and argues to prove a point that she's right. Uhhhhh i really doubt that i dont remember what I ordered and I wouldnt have ordered from here if I knew I wasn't gonna get what I ordered bc the food here tastes bland and shitty anyways.
