A well deserved night of delicious Chinese takeout food. Ordered moo shoo beef with pancakes (thin wraps) was soo good -fried wings pork fry rice -you can tell it was freshly made nice and hot. Never had eggplant and garlic sauce and it was very good. Boneless ribs came with white rice . My son doesn't like vegetables so on his sesame chicken I requested veggie out and it was perfect. Everything we ordered was so much they were not cheap with their servings . The lady Taking the order was making sure no other orders had special instructions-since I requested no veggies for one. I try to stay away from the generic American Chinese food joints. You know the ones that all have the exact same menu. Well I was craving some pork fried rice so I stopped in the closest one. They messed up several times on crispy general tso chicken. Then when my daughter told them she called early to let them know it was soggy, they made excuses and did not try to fix it. This is awful as my little son does not like soggy. They should havr said they couldn't do it and it would have been the end of it . Very awful customer service and I highly don't recommend . I decided to order Chinese food today since my wife said she wasn't cooking. Lol! We decided to go with some beef Moo Shu. Wow! It was awesome! The order is so big I asked for extra pancakes, we shared the order and still couldn't finish it. It had been a while since I ordered Chinese food. I don't particularly like it, however occasionally I do indulge. Mostly I order Orange or General Tso's chicken or Beef Moo Shu, with extra pancakes. It is a fresh tasting meal that I do enjoy. The super thin pancakes served with a delicious sauce was exceptional. The girl who took my order was professional as pleasant and the food arrived quickly. Plympton as soon as I started to say the apartment # (they did not have a computer back then). I tried most of their American/Italian menu and was never disappointed, especially for the price (3 lobster tails for $18?! And yes, they are delicious!). I also used to work in Bergenfield so I'd order from here a lot (their burgers are great!). I moved and currently live in Englewood. Their menu states they deliver to Tenafly but not to Englewood. I live literally on the border so decided to call and see if they would deliver, and she said they would! Everything was great as I had remembered. My man got the clams casino and I got the chicken parm hero which comes with fries. We shared mozzarella sticks. $20 total and huge portions!! Minus a half star because their mozzarella sticks were better back in the day (they were huge and the cheese was more gooey) and their Chinese food is just average for me. This is a joke right?!?! Order chicken and cashews and get 80-90% random vegetables. (Mostly celery and water chestnuts). I feel like the old Wendys lady...where the beef?!?! (In this case chicken). This place is fine. We ordered from the Italian side of the menu, crabmeat stuffed mushrooms were horrible, zucchini fries that completely fill the takeout tray and which were good. My husband ordered the chicken francaise which came with 3 huge cutlets, sauce was good, the coating was very eggy. I ordered the chicken cacciatore, the sauce was tasty but it was light on chicken. The food is always good quality. And I love the variety. While I will admit that the Italian food is diner quality (remember though, I'm talking New Jersey diner quality, meaning nothing fancy, but good solid cooking), it means that when we have several people ordering, there is something for everyone. To give an example, just tried the Italian seafood salad last night. For $6.95 we had a generous portion of calimari, shrimp, and surimi crab (fine by me; I'm allergic to the real thing), a hard boiled egg, a light dressing, over a small bed of lettuce (about a 3:1 ratio by volume of seafood to lettuce. The calamari was tender, but still had a bit of texture (all too often, it is either served rubbery or tenderized to the point of mushiness), and there was enough there for a dinner and a lunch for me. We also had sweet & sour chicken; every piece was batter coated chicken breast (this should be considered standard, but far many places pad it out with battered gristle). My go to local place for cheap takeout Chinese food. Over the years I have tried most items on the menu and I recommend items from the speciality menu or items with a chili pepper next to it. I love that you can customize your order by asking for certain levels of heat or change up sauces. For example they will happily do non fried chicken in a general so sauce. Unexpectedly they have a good American side. They're burger is diner quality, huge and is cheaply priced. They're chicken parm surprisingly stands it's ground when compared to Italian take out joints. They offer large portions for the price. I've been coming here for YEARS now. It was introduced to me at work despite living in town and seeing the signs growing up. Both sides of the menu are good but what I've come to appreciate most is their work ethic. MAN OH MAN. I just picked up my order and here is the lady who greets me every time, taking orders over the phone and in person, cooking, packing up the food, maintaining quality control AND she has to discipline her kids all while putting a smile on her face. For those who have kids, y'all can appreciate this. Her son is giving her a hard time over homework and her older children are assisting. We've all been there right? I ask for extra lemon every time. I think it should come w white rice but it comes w yellow rice and I don't care. I'm sure I can ask for white or brown.
