I like it, Not too fancy. I get to relax and rejuvenate, I normally purchase the one for massage and get the table shower depending on mood.

I had such a great experience at this newly-opened-spa in Pasadena! From the moment I walked in,…read moreeveryone was incredibly welcoming. The receptionist, Nancy, was so warm and friendly, which set the tone for the whole visit. Crystal, who worked on my hair, was amazing She was very attentive to my needs and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. She even provided a mini facial and a soothing neck and arms massage during the service--both were extremely relaxing! I enjoyed my visit so much that I ended up purchasing their gift certificates because I definitely want to come back to try their full facial and massage services next time. The massage studio is conveniently located right beside the spa, and I learned they share the same owner, which explains why the experience feels seamless and well-coordinated. Highly recommend this place if you're looking to unwind and be taken care of by genuinely kind and skilled staff!

I agree with the other 3 star review here. It's okay, but not anything special…read more Parking; Came at 530pm on a Saturday and had to park on the curb at Tierra Mia because the lot was full. Noise/Vibe: SOOOO incredibily noisy. I came in a minute before my appointment and the workers were frantic, running around and speaking anxiously and it wasn't a huge deal, no one was rushing them and they were still checking out the previous appointment. Then they asked me if I wanted to buy a gift card for a couple hundred dollars (it was my first time there???). Also tried to upsell while I was on the table and again at check out. This was the biggest thing. The whole point is to relax and even when I was in the room I still heard the customers and staff talk so loudly. Other places I've been to always have quiet signs and the staff also speak softly. The facialist was slamming boxes in the room and also had to refill the water twice (never had that happen ever) Facial: Was okay. Average products. She used a suction thing and rather than drag it on my face she tapped it and pulled at my skin. She also caught my nose ring after I told her I had one and she was like "oh it hurts?" and I was like yeah when I have something pull it hurts. She did do extractions which was nice but said the time would come off my massage, which I did appreciate about the communication. If I needed an "emergency" facial, maybe. Otherwise I'd just drive to Wi Spa or Korea town and get the whole vibe for the same $100

Wanted to try a new massage studio and found A Beautiful Day Spa on Yelp…read more I have a hard time finding a strong masseuse who actually gets all my knots out so I was really hoping I would have a great massage after reading all the good reviews. I had Cindy today and she exceeded all my expectations! Her massage style was the perfect mix of relaxing but strong. I have chronic back pain and I felt so much relief. This is going to be my new go-to spot for massages!! Dustin at the front desk was so friendly and made me feel welcome and Cindy was just amazing. I can't wait to come back.

What an amazing experience!…read more I got a gift certificate for Christmas and I couldn't wait to book since I experience chronic pain in my back. Once I got there I was easily checked in and asked to fill the form of where I would like to focus on/avoid which I really appreciated. I highlighted my shoulders/traps area since that is where I carry most of my tension and pain. Upon entering the treatment room, it was quaint and perfect. My therapist started off in the areas that I experience the most pain and quickly helped me relieve the tenderness in those areas which I was so grateful for. I've been into countless other massage rooms where I spend nearly an arm and a leg and don't even provide any relief like my therapist Tina did! I was sooo so grateful, I could've cried. Throughout the whole treatment I felt really comforted and taken care of. Her touch was firm but most of all, perfect. The technique was unlike any other massage I've had in the best way possible. It felt like a lot of acupressure involved which I appreciated. The music was serene and the essential oils really help you relax! The 60 minutes felt like an eternity but in the best way possible because you just feel so well taken care of. Every minute feels set with intention. Thank you so much ABD Spa and Tina!! I am so grateful and can't wait to book my next appointment!

So where do I begin…read more.. I was a little flustered when arriving to Burke Williams. It was my first time there and no one warned me about the parking situation or that I would have to go down an alley to find the spa. I didn't plan for these issues which caused me to be late. I did try to call but the number isn't directly linked to the Pasadena location. However, they did promise to forward my message. When checking in I explained this to the receptionist and he treated me with the utmost care and respect. He pushed back my appointment time by 30minutes so that I had time to settle in and prepare for my treatment which I truly appreciate thank you. I was given a tour of the spa and introduced to all the amenities. My appointment was for the 60min 4-Layer Resurfacing Facial. When booking and confirming my appointment they did give me a heads up and informed me not to use the hot sauna or spa with this type of treatment. They also suggest arriving 30 minutes early to use the amenities but that was not needed considering the treatment I scheduled. After my experience I do recommend arriving early. The Pasadena location is near old town so it's pretty crowded and busy out there. I parked in the structure by Buca Di Beppo but while walking over I saw a small paid parking lot next to the alley where you find the spa. Now when it comes to my spa experience I must say I'm very grateful to have been paired up with Brindle (I hope I spelled her name correctly). They ask you to wait in the main room at least 5 minutes before your appointment. Apparently, I wasn't checked in correctly so I was waiting a little past my appointment time. They noticed me sitting/ waiting and started asking questions to help me. I love that everyone works as a team here. They apologized for the inconvenience and got me all situated with Brindle. I have to say... Brindle is the best esthetician! Now when I saw the description for the 4-Layer Resurfacing Facial I thought it was a chemical peel but if I understood Brindle correctly it's not chemical based, it's a less abrasive peel. Regardless, I loved it! I came into that room so tense and I left feeling like I was walking on clouds. Brindle has a calming presence and a soothing voice. I love that she is not afraid to get in there when it comes to getting those impurities stuck in your skin. Also, she is great with her hands. I find that a lot of estheticians are almost afraid to apply any pressure when massaging face/body. Not Brindle! She was right on the money. Overall, I had a great experience and hope to visit again in the near future. :)

For Christmas, my boyfriend got me a sweet and thoughtful gift card to Burke Williams. I decided to…read moreuse it to explore new locations. Previously I have been to the Orange and Mission Viejo locations, so I thought it would be fun to check out the Pasadena location. It's in the Old Town area, and the nearest public parking lot is off Green and Fair Oaks. I really loathe paying for parking and having to walk over. For any first timers to Burke Williams, they are a luxury European style spa, meaning the spa area is generally naked. Bathing suits are optional. In the spa area, they have lockers, a jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, showers, and vanity tables. There are also quiet rooms for napping in its' own area in the front by the lobby. This location only has the lobby as the co-ed hanging out area. Compared to other BW locations, they are smaller and more busy. I usually spend about 3 and a half hours at BWs and this time was the same. I started off with a strong shower. The other locations has their shaving cream for grabs outside, but this location has a shaving cream inside each shower. And then I went over to the jacuzzi, then the sauna, and then to the quiet room for a little nap. Then I showered again before my treatment time and headed to the lobby before my treatment. When it was time for 80 min Pure Relaxation Massage ($245 regular/$285 member pricing), Pearl came to get me from the lobby and welcomed me up the stairs. Most of their treatment rooms seem to be upstairs. The treatment room seemed to have the same equipment and general layout as other BWs but less square footage. I had an amazing time with Pearl. She started off asking me if I had any areas I wanted to focus on, and any injuries or areas to be careful with. She was thoughtful throughout the massage and made sure the pressure was to my liking. There was a good amount of massage oil used the whole treatment. I was soooooo relaxed. Pearl gave my wrist and forearm the additional attention I requested. When the massage was over, she placed my warmed robed on the table, just as expected with all BW massage experiences. I had such a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The highest compliment I can ever give someone is that I would come back and book another massage with Pearl. After my treatment Pearl walked me back towards the lobby and reminded me to stay hydrated for the next few days. She was super sweet and thoughtful and definitely the best encounter I had with the Pasadena location. After my service I went to take another shower and got ready at their vanity tables. Unfortunately there were MULTIPLE dirty brushes in the clean bin. Which reminds me the showers had a lot of hairs on the wall. Super turn off. There was a lot of staff in the spa area so I'm not sure if they missed it since it was so crowded or if they were more focused on other areas of the spa area. Staff also mentioned that this is the oldest location in the area... and I can see that... in the sense that the layout is less thoughtful than the other locations, such as locker rooms where you change is in high foot traffic areas. I waited for a bit at check out, but staff was very helpful. They were able to give me my day pass and bring a friend that was part of the gift card deal that the Mission Viejo location forgot to give me. Loved the massage and the amenities, but I don't enjoy the crowd and there's room for improvement with the cleanliness. I don't blame the business for doing well, but I do feel like they can maintain better cleanliness of their facilities for how much they charge for our services. Of the Burke Williams locations I have been to, my favorite is the Orange location which is the largest, and then Mission Viejo for an intimate quiet experience, and this places last. Nevertheless it's still a superior spa experience where I've never had a bad treatment at any BWs.

My wife and I recently visited Bamboo Creek Spa for a couples massage…read more We were able to walk in and they accommodated us right away, which we really appreciated. The price was reasonable, and the oil massage itself was good. They also used hot stones, which added a nice relaxing touch. Communication over the phone beforehand was a bit challenging due to a language barrier. We initially called just to check availability. Shortly after, they texted us their business card, which felt unexpected since we already had their information and that's why we called in the first place. We've never had a business text their card unless we asked for it. They then called again, which came across a little pushy rather than simply informational. The biggest downside during the massage was privacy and time. The door to our room was left open, and other workers and clients were walking past, which made it hard to fully relax. Also, my massage therapist stepped out during the session to assist someone at the front desk and did not make up for the time. Another comfort issue: they placed a paper towel over the face cradle where you rest your head. It made breathing difficult, and I actually had to poke a hole in it to breathe more comfortably. Most massage places use a breathable cover or cloth instead. One small but noticeable thing: most massage places offer water before or after the session, and that wasn't offered here. Overall, the massage itself was solid and the walk-in availability was convenient. With better privacy, a more relaxed communication approach, and a few comfort and hospitality improvements, the experience could be much better.
