Huge portions. Nice lady who works there. Food was average. I am a fried rice and egg roll connoisseur. Fried rice was average but the egg roll was really good. Sweet and sour shrimp was huge portion. Huge peices of shrimp. Pepper steak was just okay.

So good! Almond bones chicken. Sauce on side upgraded to shrimp fried rice

So good, the gentleman cooking the food was pleasant and made sure everything was done correctly

Forgot to me mention in the review, my boyfriend thought the the egg roll tasted funny. But the chicken and rice was good

Tried this place out today, like I said in the check in there was a language barrier and the phone was actually handed off to somebody near the beginning of the conversation when I called to place the order. They said for sweet and sour chicken, and a quart of egg drop soup it would be just under $15 for delivery - not to bad. But they said it would take an hour on a Monday night. An hour and 10 minutes go by and I see a man crossing hall road by foot to get to my house. Puzzled I let him in he was completely out of breath - a little weird and the transaction was done. The chicken was good, the sauce was good, the rice was actually better then most, and the soup was good. However they did not add those crunchy things you can usually dunk, and I did get 1 fortune cookie. Nothing spectacular here but if my regular Chinese place "doesn't have there driver on duty" then I'll return.

Came here for lunch, want to try new place and support the community. Took me by surprise food was great for the price. 7.00 for combo! Portion was decent size, enough for leftover. Place is a little bit run down, but the food was fresh and clean. Came out fast and fresh. Would recommend if your in the area and want some Chinese food.

The place was clean. The gentleman was nice and kind. The food was good. I'm used to different flavored sesame chicken and this one had more of a sweet and sour look/taste but it was still good. The chicken were large pieces of white meat. The dish was piping hot and delicious. Try it out.

Everything always tastes fresh, like it was actually cooked with care and not rushed out the door. It is a little pricier than some other spots, and the portions are smaller, but honestly? I get why. This is quality over quantity in the best way. You still finish feeling happily full, just not weighed down or regretting your life choices lol. We've only ever ordered takeout (usually DoorDash), so I can't speak much to service or ambiance, but I can say our order has never been wrong. If you want solid, dependable, really tasty Chinese food that feels a step above the rest, Chengs does not miss. We keep ordering for a reason.

We shouldn't be disappointed again by our food not being doubled checked by whoever bagged it. Also with a huge thing of Pad Thai there should be more than one small piece of lime. It doesn't squeeze on all of it. We are starting to think we should go elsewhere because of the order errors. When we have made complaints before they were rude and never apologize either. So I'm not even bothering to call this time.

I was looking for a Chinese restaurant. I used YELP to help me find one. After looking at many…read morerestaurants, I saw and read that 1st Wok had good reviews so I decided to go there. Now, my first impression of 1st Wok was a hesitant one. It's not set in the best of plazas. There closed businesses that surrounded them. I didn't know if I should get out of the car but I did. When entering the establishment again I was hesitant. It's not the best looking restaurant. Definitely needed a paint job. There were 3 booths for dining in but they were taken up by supply boxes, one of their kids was watching their tablet and the other booth had a child sleeping in it. I hadn't planned on eating there anyway. There was a customer there waiting for their meal. I asked him if he came here often and he said yes with no hesitation. He said the food was good. Ok. The woman behind the counter was very nice. I asked questions about the food, especially the ABC, Almond Boneless Chicken, a specialty in Michigan Chinese restaurants and she answered every question with pleasure. I ordered the ABC combo which consisted of chicken fried rice, almond boneless chicken, a chicken/pork egg roll & chicken flavored gravy. The price was reasonable. When I got home and opened the foam container there was so much food I couldn't believe it. Definitely worth the price. Now, how does it taste. The egg roll was a little different. Crunchy on the outside with a different consistency on the inside but tasty. I've never had a chicken/pork egg roll before. It was bad. I had asked for plain fried rice instead of chicken fried rice and that's what I got. It was a mountain of rice, enough for 3 or 4 people!! WOW!! There had to have been a least 10 pieces of crispy chicken with green onion pieces on top. Again, enough for 3 people. The gravy, though different to me was very good on top of the chicken and rice. This was an excellent meal. I ate this combo dinner for 3 days in a row and every day I ate it was a treat. Tasted like day one. Overall..... The Almond Boneless Chicken (ABC) combo meal was really good and tasty, all 3 days!! Despite the dingy environment, I'm going back to try something else. Maybe beef pepper steak this time. Give 1st Wok a try. The ABC is really good!! Peace and Good Food
