A great, old school Florida styled restaurant-indoor out door seating areas with bars. Table service from an attentive staff. Had calamari appetizer which was fresh and lightly battered. Fish and chips came with onion rings and two sides. Fish was fresh and the rings were sweet and fresh as well. Not many vegetarian options. read more

In the middle of nowhere on a barrier island you'll find New England Seafood where you'll park your car in an unpaved sand parking lot in front of a stand alone weathered structure with all the charm of a New England Seafood restaurant. After being greeted by a hostess you have the option of dining outside on what could be imagined as a beach deck or boardwalk or inside where AC keeps you comfortable. We chose to sit inside what was a really large clean dining room decorated for Christmas with colored lights and colorful decorations which may have altered the look of the pictures I'm posting. Our server Veronica was efficient, polite and knowledgeable on menu items. We started our meal with New England clam chowder and conch fritters. The chowder was tasty and creamy with the right amount of sweet clams and potatoes. The conch fritters were cooked well not greasy with lots of what I hope was conch, it was served with a delicious horseradish sauce. Our mains consisted of a fried clam and shrimp combo with loaded baked potato and garden salad all enjoyable. Not to be missed was the shrimp served Nantucket style, a sauce of butter wine and garlic. After dining here I can see why it's been a local favorite for decades. read more

We had an incredible time here for lunch with friends! The Connecticut Lobster Roll was so delicious. A good price for such quality fare. I needed coffee, and Brandon our server brewed me fresh strong coffee. It was amazing! Such wonderful service with great care and attention. The staff was okay... not super friendly at the beginning when getting sat but our server was much nicer. They have indoor seating and patio seating. When we asked how long it would be for indoor we were told "I don't know" and when asked if they could give a rough estimate like an hour or more we were told "probably less than an hour." So we opted to sit on the patio and while it kept some bugs away it wasn't perfect but it was fine. The food was just okay. My husband got the mahi special which had the most flavor of everything else. The clam chowder had a great consistency but was pretty bland and was my fish sandwich. Very pleasant and efficient servers. The New England clam chowder was excellent, as was the lobster roll. I had the broiled half and half to avoid any gluten issues, and it was decent although bland. Would have benefited from some seasoning. The Cole slaw was good and the French fries were hot, which is not the case at many restaurants. Decor is fun, with an outdoor patio -- somewhat misnamed because it is covered on all sides with a roof and louvered walls -- that includes seating and a bar. The indoor space includes a much larger bar and a large dining room. Because of the varied seating options, this is definitely someplace you can come if you're out for drinks and a bite to eat or heading back from the nearby beaches. read more

Locals told us it was a fav and the parking lot was packed -- perhaps true but it's on a barrier island, and the next restaurant (except for the country club) is 30 mi away. This was our 1at time here. We came for the clam belly's . We started with the conch fritters and lobster bisque. My husband had the fried fish dinner and I had the clam bellies. The breading was light which for me is perfect. The soup was piping hot and although the flavor was ok, I probably won't order again. Overall everything tasted good especially the clam bellies. Total win! The onion rings were a bit greasy but still flavorful. Everything very fresh! This restaurant was a bit of a hike for us but we'll probably return. read more

Had an awesome first experience at New England Eatery. Authentic New England style restaurant that reminded me of old Cape Cod & north shore eateries. Great red, white & blue Americana ambience & your standard seafood offerings. I enjoyed a Combo of fried whole belly clams!! Along with fried scallops and 2 sides which were, of course, cold slaw and baked beans. I also shared an order of sweet potato fries with my dining companion. The meal was served promptly and Hot! The fried clams were tender & sweet with just enough light & crispy batter. The scallops were a good size and perfectly cooked. The Cole slaw was good - not too much mayo and the baked beans were very flavorful. The sweet potato fries were very good and we couldn't finish the large size portion. We both finished our meal since it was so delicious and we were full and very happy. I cannot wait to return to this restaurant. read more

The staff were really nice and attentive. We had a big party, so we were sat out on the patio. It had a cool beachy vibe. Thankfully there were a lot of fans, so the Florida heat was bearable. New England Eatery is a fun spot! The aesthetic in the outdoor space, with the net and cute, messy assortment of nautical objects happily reminded me of my grandpa's place. I was in the mood for a Connecticut style (the best option) lobster roll and they did not disappoint! It was loaded with lobster meat and the bun was toasted and buttered. They charge extra for onion rings, which have a crisp, airy batter and thick slices of onions. The side of melted butter didn't have the best flavor, but I didn't really need it. Steamed broccoli was a less indulgent side. The server was friendly and let me sample a beer before I made my selection. A draft of Intracoastal's Dragonpoint was the way to go. The service is the only saving grace. Although the first impressions of the hostesses would give you pause. They just didn't say anything...they just stared and then came back to our area code and asked how many.... Maybe they could not handle multiple parties walking up at once....who knows. Our server was attentive and on it with refills. The interior is dated and the patio is hot. I would have to think it is a local place based on the interactions I could observe at the bar. They have redeemed themselves, lol! It is reliable place to get some seafood. My favorite is the Ahi Tuna over salad, always fresh. The standard fish dishes are good, grilled, blackened, whatever you like. I find they lack much spice/flavor but the fish is fresh. Can't review the fried stuff, I don't order it. On the surface, this restaurant looks brilliant and appealing. However, there really was nothing that was done correctly. We were promptly sat in the back, and provided menus. Our server came to the table and just asked if we were ready to order. No offer for drinks and didn't mention specials like the server at the next table. (their alcoholic menu is printed on the napkin dispenser at your table.) Odd, and she never mentioned it. When she came back with my bottled water, (no glass provided), I asked for a draft yuengling, was told they were out and she walked away. Didn't ask if I wanted a different draft or anything. So service, one star. Clam chowder was thick as mud, very few clams or potatoes. Caesar salad dressing was tasteless. Whole lobster was overcooked and chewy. Broiled fish platter had thinnest piece of haddock I've ever seen. No one was bussing tables, except the servers. Good kitchen and restaurant management is desperately needed. Lobster Roll needs chunks of meat instead of Lobster claw red liner. I couldn't eat it and manager was very rude and threatened to call the police if I didn't pay for it, she went there right away. Bottom line don't order the Lobster roll. read more

A great place to have dinner with friends. They have lots of seating inside as well as a huge patio. There was ample parking as well. The service was excellent. Our server checked in on us often and was very sweet. You couldn't ask for better service. The food was good. I expected the lobster salad to have celery and a bit off mayonaise. Instead it was a mound of big pieces of lobster that had little to no flavor on top of caesar salad. The Nantuckett Trio was better but next time we would order it broiled or blackened as Nantucket style was rather heavy. Get a piece of pie while you are there. The Key Lime was perfect, not too sweet and just the right amount of tart. The whipped cream was fresh. Next time I want the Boston Cream pie. read more

This place is really chill; my parents come here often and say it's the only place besides djons that they like the food and service! I just tried it for the first time, and while I think the prices are a little steep for the quality of the food I tried, I think I missed out on the fried fish. I tried my mom's broiled trio (nice scallops) and had the caesar salad with blackened shrimp (very filling and tasty). The ahi tuna appetizer was small but definitely fresh and with potent wasabi! I think my only complaint was that the french fries were surprisingly bland- but nothing some ketchup and salt couldn't fix. Service was excellent. It's getting to be fall, so halloween decorations were up and they're from the haunted mansion in disney world which holds a very special place in my heart! So, great ambiance as well. read more

So I really wanted to like this place. Great location south of Melbourne beach on the A1A. Great service. Our server was very attentive. Unfortunately, both entrees were just average. To start, my wife's Ceasar salad had barely any dressing. My shrimp and scallops was decent, but nothing special. The seafood sauce was actually the best thing served. The wife hated the breading on top of the fish. Maybe there is something else we were supposed to order. Not sure? Lol. We'll if the restaurant was a little closer to us we might try again, there are at least 5 similar establishments closer. So not likely. read more

I came here with my husband and friend while staying at a nearby AirBnB. This was one of the best rated places on our side of the strip, so we decided to give it a shot. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal. We had the lobster roll, the shrimp pasta dish, and a seafood platter with cod, scallop, and shrimp. Sides included coleslaw, sweet potato fries, broccoli, and a loaded baked potato. All food was good and the portions were fair. Our server was good.
