I'm new to the Sheepshead Bay neighborhood & needed a go to salon for my spa pedicures and I've come here already a handful of times because the pedicures never disappoint. The price for a spa pedicure beats your usual charge, it's $32 versus other salons 40$+. Coco does a great job & so does the male that works at the salon, I just don't remember his name. Overall, I keep returning because I haven't been disappointed, turned off from uncleanliness, service, & it's not crazy busy. Give this salon a try! read more

My nail techs name was Karen and although she's fairly new to working on clients, it was enjoyable and entertaining sitting across from her. She did a great job and the manicure lasted me 3 weeks before we did a refill and i've had amazing results from her. read more

I love this salon! The staff always remembers me and gives me a friendly greeting. They always ask how I'm doing. Besides that, they always do a great job on my nails! I had just gotten a bad manicure from a salon in NJ so I went to Coyle Nail to have it fixed. Been rather annoyed the past couple of times I've come here for a number of reasons: 1) there's still some people working here with NO nail licenses and they do a LOUSY job! 2) they've past me onto a different person to do my pedicure because a 3:00 PM appointment came in; it's 1:30 PM 3) hand and foot massage is barely a minute 4) had to turn on the drying fans myself with my wet polish Why do I keep coming?! Stupidity? Probably. But it's mostly convenience and it's cheap; you get what you pay for and they've been making sure of that. read more

Love Coyle nails. I've been to many different nail salons in the neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods over the years, I always come back to them. You can't beat their prices. You may not get all of the bells and whistles and ambiance such as UV lights built into the desk and fancy moisturized gloves, etc., but they are clean, quiet, and reasonably priced. Their gel manicures last the same amount of time as all the other surrounding nail salons who charge anywhere from $5-$15 more. They always take me when I call to make an appointment last minute, I appreciated how accommodating they are since I don't always know when I can make it there. read more

Do not go to this nail place. I went for a manicure and pedicure and it looks like I a child did it. My cuticles weren't cut. Paint all on the sides of my toes. My nails were painted horrible as well. Went last night and after receiving my terrible service told the owner I'd be back tomorrow to repolish because the lady messed my nails. She said ok. I come back today. They tell me I have I wait it's busy. So I wait 30 minutes then some other employee comes to me and says if I want my polish fixed it's $15 dollar to repaint my nails and toes. And then proceeded to tell me I have to go to the same girl who did my nails yesterday. Why would I pay again after I just spent $50 the day before for a shit job and why would I go back to the woman who didn't even do the services I paid for terrible service. I do not recommend this dump to anyone. read more

Only one person is able to do acrylic, I'm assuming a licensing situation? I don't know. But you will leave with your heel as ashy & crusty as it was when you walked in. This was the third time I had been there and did not have any problems. This this time I had an appointment to get a fill in on my nails but they couldn't do it because they didn't have anyone who could do it , so why make the appointment? . I agreed to just have a polish change but needed my nails cut because they had gotten too long and it was uncomfortable. The woman barely filed my nails with a file and was not able to cut them or make them shorter . I got the polish change which (was messy) and was charged $2 extra dollars in addition the the price of the polish because she filed my nails . Needless to say I'll find a new place that can do my nails and make them shorter when needed. They lost this customer . read more

Leng is an amazing nail technician. She is warm, humble, and professional. I have been a client of hers for years. However, it is Coyle's environment that is making me reconsider their services. The owner with the short hair is extremely rude. She makes it so obvious when she is talking about her customers in Mandarin to the other workers. Additionally, her husband is the only man in the salon and he has a STARING problem. I have been so uncomfortable going there because he is forever lurking, staring, and talking about customers to his wife. The other staff members are also impersonal. As previously stated, I am a client of Leng's for years and yet I feel extremely unwelcomed in the salon even though I tip well. read more

I went here because the place prior did a horrible job. It looked like a 4 years old did my nails. I walked into this place and was greeted right away. Very nice and respectful. I told the woman i was looking for an acrylic fill in and needed someone who was good to fix my nails. While I was waiting for the girl to free, I chatted with 2 other customers who said the place was amazing. Diane did my nails and did them exactly how I like them. So I come in randomly because I was in the area and pressed for time. I am finally taken to a pedicure station where the tech tells me to give her 10mins as I soak my feet. She started the jets to which I told her to stop. I assume she wanted to grab something to eat. As I go and stick my feet in the pedicure tub, I realize there's pieces of cut nail and the water is dirty. I quickly yank my feet out and ask someone to call my tech. I show her the tub is dirty. She lets the water out and sprays some 409 and what I thought was soft scrub-like items in the tub. She uses one of the foot brushes to scrub the walls of the tub. The tub gets clean and she refills with water and then goes away again. She returns a few mins later and starts on my pedicure. It was average at best. When she goes to the final step of scrubbing my feet, I look up just in time to see she's using the same blasted brush she was cleaning the tub with on my toes. When she sees I notice what she's doing, she reached for the pumice brush to finish my foot. Then she goes to my other foot and was about to use the blasted tub brush again. I promptly told her don't use that brush again and she put it on the floor under the foot of the tub. I'm ready to go. But of course can't at this point because my feet are wet and half-done! Smh. Won't be returning here, probably ever...in life! read more

Got gel manicure done here 3 days ago and it already looks like I need to re-do them. When she first did it she didn't push my cuticles back well enough, so by the time she applied the gel, it was past the cuticle leaving a faint line before painting the remaining nail. When I asked her about the space without being painted she said it was nothing. When I asked her again she got mad and gave me attitude for rest of the manicure. read more

This place does a good job but they have horrible customer service. There is one man that is lovely there and a few other girls but some of the workers are very nasty. Yesterday I went to pay for my pedicure with my card and one women said maybe my card isn't working or the machine isn't working. I told her it's fine I'll wait or go to the ATM down the block. She told me just to wait and even used her card to see if the credit card machine was working but even her card didn't work. So she said go to the ATM I said ok and as I was about to leave she said I can't go unless my purse. I told her I'm not comfortable with that because I came from somewhere prior and I have private papers in my purse. I told her if she wants to come with me to the ATM she can she said no no leave your wallet here or purse and I repeated no and said I will just wait for you to fix the machine. A woman came behind me and said she doesn't have time for this shit and will go to the ATM and they let her they didn't ask her to leave her possessions. I was very patient with them but I was curious why were they being so biased. The women got on a phone with someone to fix the machine and she yelled out oh you have no money on card and your card is bad and she laughed. I was shocked and hurt that even said that and that she even laughed. I asked her how does your friend know I don't have money on my card? Does he work at my bank? She laughed again and kept trying to fix the machine and finally my card worked. I asked what happened I thought my card had no money like you said. She said oh yeah sorry. All I did was give her a dirty look and left and I will never come back again. Not once did I raise my voice and I was so patient with them because I know a credit card machine not working is pretty common.
