I came here a few weeks ago on a rainy day. I mean pouring. They were kind enough to usher me in. At the time I did Gelx. I got a stamp card and was told to come back again. No mention of an appointment or anything.They are right near my lash tech and since I was already getting a lash fill in it made sense to also get a nail fill in. I went today and instead of being met with smiles, I was met with confusion and rudeness. " You should have made an appointment". I told them I was not told to make an appointment. Many many nail salons in Brooklyn operate with walk-ins. So if they did not do walk ins it would have been great to know.The younger man in the glasses acted as if my questions were bothering them. It's been almost two years since I've gotten a pedicure thanks to COVID, and finally this evening, I decided to chance it and call B&P to see if I could be a walk-in. It was 7:05PM and they close at 8PM, and I was prepared for them to tell me no, try again tomorrow, but I was wrong. "Is it busy? Could I come now? Do you have a lot of customers?" "You can come now." There was no one! My anxiety was lifted as soon as I walked through the door, and they were waiting for me. I picked my bright pink toe color for my spa pedicure, and sunk into the massage chair seat. It was glorious. You know how many times I've sat in a massage chair and then be told it didn't work? The ones here are so good; almost like deep tissue. Amy was my girl, and she was super sweet and shy. She did meticulous work and it was great to just sit back and relax without having to hover and make sure she was doing everything correctly. She when back several times over my toes to make sure my old polish was completely gone and that she cleaned up my cuticles nicely, without making me bleed - another plus! $45 later, I felt like a new person. The whole staff was very nice and kept telling me to sit down that my toes weren't dry yet, as they were cleaning up around me for the night. I really appreciated that; alot of places want you out the door ASAP so they can leave. I didn't feel rushed or not important. I just moved to the neighborhood and decided to try this place out for my eyebrows. They do a great job consistently! I love coming here when I'm doing laundry to kill the time and get my eyebrows done. I decided to try getting a pedicure earlier in the week and the service was great! I got white polish and it was applied evenly and nicely. Definitely recommend coming here, they gave me a quick shoulder massage as well while my pedicure dried and made sure I got their loyalty card before I left! Love this place! read more

I am OBSESSED. Today was my first time in over 5 years that I got a set done and I'm so glad I decided to give b&p a chance. I got exactly what I asked for, and I mean EXACTLY. The process didn't feel rushed at all and for the first time ever I feel like what I asked for (polish type, nail shape, design etc) was actually taken into consideration and executed. Nothing was pushed down my throat (gel, stones, extra designs) which is also a huge plus. I can't say enough good things about this establishment. I needed a fresh gel manicure and while I was in Dyker Heights, I decided to check this nail salon out since the reviews were decent. There was a 20 min wait when I got there. There were 3 nail techs and all of them were working on somebody. When it was my turn, I picked a peachy color and the nail tech took off my old gel color, which she didn't even charge me for. She did a pretty good job doing my nails. Not bad for $22. I'm used to paying $30+ for gel manicures in fancier places. This place is just as good. It's clean, they have nice chairs to sit in while you wait, and they play the radio at a good volume. I also received a loyalty card. I will definitely come back. read more

Terrible customer service. You make an appointment and doesn't matter. Had an appointment scheduled for weeks and when I arrived I was told that I couldn't be seen becathe he had another customer. Mind you I have been a customer for a long time. Nothing was even done to accommodate me. All I was told was that he didn't think I was coming. I have never missed an appointment. If ever I could not make it I would always call. That is just common courtesy. I am so done with this place. Terrible customer service. B&P Nail Salon is TERRIBLE! I had my nails done which consisted of acrylic fillings and gel polishes. This service in a "normal" nail salon should last at least 3-4 weeks. Unfortunately, it lasted 1 Day! The gel and color peeled off the next day and I returned back to B&P to resolve the problem; they re-polished 5 nails and again 2 days later the same issue. Again I went back to B&P to fix this issue. I was rudely addressed by the staff and I insisted for them to resolve this issue. They re-polished.....and AGAIN...the gel flaked off. I gave up and went to another salon who alleviated the problem....the FIRST TIME! B&P utilizes cheap material and according to the 2nd Salon....the gel was probably expired and unusable. After Patty's Nails closed I spent a while looking for a new place, and B&P always does a great job. I get my eyebrows waxed and was wary of going somewhere else, but they do a fantastic job for a bargain price (and take real time waxing, trimming, and tweezing). I also have always been happy with a basic manicure and pedicure here, and the place is always rather busy (it's good to make an appointment if you're not just popping in for something small). This is a busy salon, but you don't have to make an appointment to be seen. They offer the usual treatments, manicure, pedicure, acrylic, silk wraps, permanent french, gel manicure and spa/paraffin pedicure. They also offer waxing from eyebrows to full leg. The staff are very friendly and all very good at what they do. OK now for prices, so affordable. A manicure and pedicure together costs 19.00. Separately the manicure is 7 and the pedicure is 15. A bargain to do both, your feet and hands will thank you. The place is clean and cozy, especially if you have to wait, they have magazines to read and big comfy chairs to sit in. They do the waxing in a private room and really take the time to make sure that you are pleased. I have very sensitive skin, so I let them know to blow on the wax before the apply it to my eyebrows. This place is awesome!!! After reading all the good reviews from my fellow Yelpers i decided to walk to this place ( and its a good 20 min walk from my apt). I was greeted by the nice staff( all ladies are very friendly and the atmoshere is relaxed and not rushed like in some salons).The services are standard- mani, pedi, waxing etc. Mani+Pedi is $19, they charge you $20 if you pay with a card. I never felt rushed or like they were talking about me ( which if you frequent nail salons you must have experienced at least once lol) and the end result is super nice. I will be coming back to this salon, even though its a hike, its totally worth it. I am definetly staying away from the 18th ave salons that look sooo dirty. read more

I've been coming here the last few times and it's been pretty good. I've seen Baby and she does a good job and is easily the best one there. Someone else did my pedicure last time and it didn't last and was chipping by the end of the week and the actual pedicure itself was a waste of time. Today, I had the young girl who sits furthest from the door for both my pedicure and my SNS. I knew it was going to be a problem the moment I asked her which polish goes with the SNS color I was getting on my nails (usually they have specific ones labeled). She didn't help me find it at all and I was staring dumbfounded at several pinks. I then asked her to let me borrow the color sampler that I chose my color from and she had no idea what I was asking for and kept saying pick color. If you're going to work with the public, you need to understand and speak a decent amount of English. Finally one of the others helped me. The pedicure was more or less her changing my polish bc the amount of time spent soaking & scrubbing was less than I do in the shower. Before this I told her I needed to remove the tips on my fingers bc my nails were grown out and they were separating and was cause things to get in between. Naturally her English is awful so she just yessed me. Sat down to do my nails, and she didn't listen (understand?) and insisted on filing away the tip and broke three of my nails. I went in with beautiful long nails and left with stubs. Besides this, she had no clue what she was doing with the SNS and I even asked her if she knew what she was doing. I spent almost 2 hours there and left with nails that look like a child did them. She kept mixing the two colors causing little black dots which I explained to her I wanted fixed and she didn't know how to fix it. Ultimately, someone else had to help and explained I'd have to remove it and start again and at that point I was already there too long so I said forget it. She also cut my finger bc she didn't know how to file and as you can see from the pictures what I left with was not worth the $$ I spent. Definitely run if you go and get the youngest thin girl. If you have the middle older (not old just older than that girl) or Baby then you should be okay. I'm disgusted that this is how a repeated customer and normally a good tipper was left to look. This is the first time I've not tipped bc the service was absolutely ridiculously terrible. I'm still trying to clean the sides of my fingers so I don't look ridiculous at the party I have tomorrow. This should be a one star review but in the past Baby was good so it's a 2. read more

I've been to Bay Ridge Nails about 5 or 6 times. At first I thought they were "ok"....no different then all the other 100 nail salons around but the last time I was there I swore I would never go back! I would make an appointment with a certain person at a certain time & they would never honor it! The last time I walked in 5 minutes after my appointment time (and I even called to tell them I was looking for a spot) & when I got there the woman says to me I have to wait because I was late (big 5 minutes) meanwhile the person she was taking care of was clearly sitting in the chair for more then 5 minutes. The time before that the woman giving me a pedicure RUSHED through it completely giving me the worse pedicure ever because she had another customer waiting.....ok so why did you take me if you knew your customer who had an appointment was coming in? I don't care for this place! When I told my friends about my frequently bad experiences it seemed like I wasn't the only one! Now I go to a place that is MUCH BETTER & only a few blocks away from them! There is alot of competition out there...you would think they would be a little more caring about their customers!
