I love Number 1 nail spa. It's been my go-to nail salon for a while now. I always leave the salon with beautiful and fresh nails. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They always strike up great conversation. Just want to shout out Tony for manicures and Gabby for pedicures. They do very thorough jobs. I usually have a problem with my manicures and pedicures lasting, but they always last when I come here. The prices here are very reasonable- great bang for your buck. read more

I've gotten tips, SNS, and different designs all done by Suki. Just show her a picture and she'll get it done. Be clear with what you want and trust her, she knows what she's doing. Honestly, it's a soak off that came from hell. I went here for a soak off and my nails are so damaged because the lady filed off too much and there's a HUGE dent in multiple nails. I have rings of fire and my nails are so weak and damaged even though this has NEVER happened before. This is a result of over filing. Nails are weird and bendy. Not only that, she didn't soak everything off. A piece of my gel x was not soaked off and I had to file it off myself when I got home. Horrible service. The vibes weren't good as well since multiple people were lined up to get their nails done and she rushed my nails which caused this much damage. Management of their clients is horrible since she rushed me out the salon. read more

I've been coming to this nail salon since i'm literally 8 years old. I was sadden by the news that Mae sold the business but was extremely happy to find out that my girl GABBY (she gives the most fire pedicure really you won't be disappointe) still works here and the new owners are the same as where i get hands done (sally's beauty nail spa). I'm so excited i can now get my pedicure and nails done at the same place. The owner Alex is friendly and makes sure every client is happy. As someone in the beauty industry i appreciate his customer service. i've been to mostly all of his locations and have always left extremely happy with my nails. if your looking for a great place be sure to check them out and make sure you see my Gabby for your pedicure and Tony for your nails. read more

I desperately needed a place that could do good designs so I decided to give it a try. I'm super picky with my mani pedis but this place still managed to WOW me. The Christmas designs are so cute and very affordable. I felt like my technician really took her time and cared about the outcome. Helped me pick all the colors and didn't mind adjusting when I changed my mind about the color/design. The pedicure was very relaxing and the massage chairs are super comfortable. I think since this is a new place the atmosphere is especially nice. Give it a try! read more

Got SNS the guy was rushing everything and ends up ruining the top polish has to give me gel on an SNS manicure...I'm allergic to gel polish that's the whole reason I get SNS. Literally just got my nails done here. I've been to their two other locations as well and I'm so glad this one opened up. Their first location is small and their second location is a bit further. The owner recognized me even though I've only been to his salons three times. I usually send a design through IG and get an estimate. Their great at what they do and very reasonable in their pricing. I have been going to this nail salon for the past 2 years. I have up and downs but overall they are great. I have done their eyebrow wax, manis, pedis, gel, spa pedicures, hot stone massage and tips. They are great with matching colors if you're the type of person who loves to match their mani and pedis like I do. They great you with a smile and tell you to have a good day or a good night. The only thing I want to add is sometimes by 2.5 weeks after a gel mani my nail starts to chip. But it's gel...and they did 5 coats and it still chipped. Other than that I would've gave a 5 out of 5. read more

2 of the nail salon nearest me, went out of business ...probably due to COVID now in April 2021. So I am now in the hunt for places in Brooklyn within .3 miles , chair massage must work as that relaxes me, pedicure under $25 and with safety during COVID. This place hit the spot. It's also economical. Pros: Location Is good. The French pedicure is $23 They have an automated temperature reading They used a new water liner on the pedicure chair. The chairs have covering on them see pictures The drying also is covered with an overlay. They used everything new to scrub my feet. They added this oil in the back of my feet Which I think is great. It's worth the $23 anytime. Regular is $18. Cons: This is a personal thing not a business problem per say: is not the best pedicure I have gotten (I can't explain it but I am used to a more square nail shape. Which btw is very hard to find the right person for me under my requirements. Lol so it's why I gave it a 5. It's a very small issue. I am used to choosing my technician that I like here is a round robin it seems. But I am sure if I continue to come I will find the best one and find a way to request her in her days etc. read more

Suki is amazing!!! Really, the best I have experienced and have been searching since moving to Bay Ridge about 7 years ago. She is an absolute perfectionist and takes her time to make sure your nails are beautiful every time she touches them. She is very artistic and her designs look like they were done by a machine - she does them freehand without a stencil or tools - just a tiny brush and polish. She is super sweet and funny making your appointment relaxing and pleasant - highly recommend - definitely will not be disappointed! read more

Now I know why Angel Gift Nail II across the street always has a wait - this place is pathetic! Sure, it's got the flashy new pedicure chairs and all these new gel colors, but honestly, they have no clue what they are doing! I showed up yesterday for a standard mani/pedi, and this petite girl took me to start with my pedicure first. She was mumbling to herself the whole time, when I thought she had a Bluetooth in her ear, but I saw nothing. When she started to cut my cuticles, that's when I knew we were gonna have a problem. She started to cut me with the scissors horizontal instead of vertical, so she was cutting my cuticles in parallel. It made no sense! Fine, I figured as long as she's cleaning up my nails, that's good enough. When she started to paint my nails, I could tell she was totally half-assing it. It was as if she was afraid to use her nail to clean up around my nail, so she avoided putting the brush as close to the cuticle as possible. From far away, my toes look okay, but I wasn't blown away. Then, for my manicure, the same thing with how she cut my cuticles. I was trying to look at the wall behind me to see if her mugshot was up there, but couldn't tell. I opted to try the new OPI gel shine, that is supposed to stay on for 10 days, which was another $3 tacked on, so I went ahead with it. Again, her painting technique was exactly the same as before - she was avoiding being anywhere close to my cuticles, as if she was afraid to use her own thumb nail to clean up the mess she left behind. When I pointed it out to her, she obviously had no clue what I was talking about. Needless to say - I went home, took off my polish and painted my damn nails myself, and left my pedicure. Moral of the story - this place is a SHAM! Avoid it at all costs! read more

I went for a regular pedicure and SNS mani and they did an amazing job! Joaquina was my pedicurist, and she took the time to really work on my feet (especially after I mentioned that I have very sensitive skin). I cannot remember the name of the lady who did my mani, but she also did a fantastic job with my nails, and just as I wanted them (there's just a little bit of residue left around it, but nothing that cannot be cleaned) Just be aware that you'll get charged a card fee, so you're better off by paying in cash! But overall it's absolutely worth your time and money! read more

New business management and new business name: Magnolia Nail Spa 4 The inside of the shop is still the same as old business Le Charme but it's not the same. Service and quality isn't the same under their old manager Ryan. I personally felt like it was a trap that they continue to use the LeCharme name and website when they had clearly changed. I was confused when I arrived and saw the name change but still gave them a chance as I had booked an appointment via Le Charme website and only had that day to get my nails done before going to a wedding on the West Coast. Also, even though I had an Spa Pedicure appointment for 10AM (opening time) I still had to wait. Other customers came in (either appt or walk in) and were seen first... they also had to call for more Nail technicians to come. I sat at the manicure station flipping through gel color templates waiting for Nail tech to see me. I already choose but waiting, at one point they had forgotten me until someone asked me what I wanted and I had to repeat myself again. I picked a spa pedicure treatment and selected gel as I heard gel last longer. It was my first time getting gel but I wanted to look my best for the wedding I'll be attending. I asked for paraffin wax for my feet and callus treatment. They were confused and said paraffin is already included in the spa package (I remember it is usually for heel only and I wanted for the entire feet) but they insisted it was included and for the entire feet, so I said okay and let them do their thing. Service was decent but my nail tech had rushed and missed a few spot. She didn't apply the polish carefully and throughly. It was like coloring your hair, they always leave a gap from the hairline so you can return for touchup. In my pic, you can see my toes didn't look as nice and pic was taken about 1.5-2hrs later (after appointment, I had quick lunch and went straight home). While I did enjoy the spa pedicure, because I wanted to pamper my feet, she was abit rough at times and rushed it. And no, she didn't apply paraffin wax to the entire feet; just the heel. I was willing to pay extra but they didn't do that. If you don't know, paraffin wax help rehydrate and trap in moisture and it's particularly effective for those who often get calluses to help in removing dead skin, and healing dry patches. It acts like a form of heat therapy and can help increase blood flow, relax muscles, and decrease joint stiffness. It can also minimize spasms and inflammation as well as treat sprains. When it was time to pay, I thought I would have to shell out more for everything as I didn't know what the actual cost would be. I wanted Spa Pedicure package with Gel Color. Callus Treatment $10, Gel pedicure $55 & Spa Pedicure $45. I had assumed they would charge abit extra for the Gel coloring ontop of the Spa Pedicure package. After I paid and walked out (no receipt was given to me and I had hope to take a pic of the bill but the total was present quickly to me and was out of my view) and walked down the street, the owner lady came out chasing me saying I needed to pay more. I follow back and she said something else was charged to me.. again wasn't able to see the bill and had to trust her word and paid more. I finally left and disappointed later on when I examined my feet at home. I think its time to find a new Nail Salon.

The 10 minute massage is an add on but we'll worth it. It felt like she was really following the line of my muscles. The pedicure chair is a massage chair. I do appreciate that they ask before doing something extra - no surprises!!! My gel pedi was 38 + 10 for the massage. Their nail polish selection is massive. So you'll definitely find a shade that pleases you. I hope they stick around because this is my new go-to!

The technician repeatedly focused on the corner of one toenail that appeared completely fine, continuing to poke and cut at the area despite there being no visible issue. She also seemed visibly frustrated throughout the service, sucking her teeth in frustration as she went over this area again and again with the cuticle cutters, which added to the discomfort. Now, 6 days later, I'm experiencing pain and warmth in that toe, which makes me concerned that the excessive cutting has resulted in irritation and may have even caused an ingrown toenail -- not cool, very awkward & disappointing experience. Manicure: The manicure itself was acceptable, but the process felt inconsistent and unstructured. Each hand was treated differently, and tools--specifically the cuticle nipper--were not cleaned during the service, resulting in visible buildup of cuticle cuttings on the tool, which was unpleasant and concerning from a hygiene standpoint. Overall, this experience left me uncomfortable and disappointed, and I wouldn't return.

When I politely asked her to ease up because she was hurting me, she barely grazed her glove and said "see? Doesn't hurt" -- completely dismissing what I was telling her about my own pain. She then continued at the same pace and pressure. Being heard was simply not on the agenda. The quality of the work matched the attitude. One of my nails had a visible thread of polish hanging off it, clearly about to crack, and when I pointed it out she told me she didn't know what I was talking about and couldn't see anything. I could see it. And sure enough, by the end of the same day, that nail had already cracked and was looking overgrown. Same-day results like that tell you everything you need to know. I paid good money to leave feeling dismissed, hurt, and with nails that were already failing before I got home. I'd strongly recommend requesting a different tech if you visit Latouie -- or doing your research before sitting down.

While doing my nails, the technician accidentally spilled clear gel polish all over my feet and didn't seem concerned about it. Throughout my manicure, she repeatedly squeezed my fingers so tightly that I told her multiple times she was hurting me, but nothing changed. The pricing was also inconsistent. I was initially told a nail design would cost $40, but after I declined, the price suddenly dropped to $10, which felt misleading. The worst part was that I was left with my hands under the UV lamp while my technician walked away to do someone else's pedicure. I was sitting there for several minutes, and the heat became so intense that I had to speak up because I couldn't keep my hands in the lamp any longer. She only returned after I complained I was going to leave. When I explained my negative experience to the man working there, he only asked about the clear gel on my feet and ignored the rest of my concerns. IT WAS CLEAR how can I show that? Overall, the customer service and attention to clients were very disappointing. I left feeling uncomfortable and unheard, and I can't recommend this salon based on my experience.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Number 1 nail spa! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome and a friendly smile. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing and impeccably clean, which immediately put me at ease. The staff is exceptionally professional and skilled. My nail technician, took great care in ensuring my manicure was perfect. She listened to my preferences and offered helpful suggestions, resulting in the most beautiful nails I've ever had. The attention to detail was outstanding, and I was impressed by the range of colors and styles available. What sets this salon apart is the level of care and dedication they show towards their clients. The service was not only top-notch but also very personalized. I felt pampered and valued throughout my visit. I highly recommend Number 1 Nail Spa to anyone looking for high-quality nail services in a welcoming and relaxing environment. I'll definitely be returning soon! read more

Thank goodness that a few blocks down I found Nailspree. No heavy scent. Appeared to be neat. The customers in the store looked happy/satisfied. I could communicate with one of the techs. She spoke English decently. The others seemed to barely speak English. If you're willing to be patient about that, this place can work for you. My tech was Joan. She only works on Sunday. Yes, believe the reviews, and yes, believe the hype! Although this place is tight quarters with only three pedicure chairs, coming here as soon as they open is well worth it! I didn't have an appointment, and literally got there as soon as they were lifting open the window gates. They were super nice and asked me to just hangout a few until they opened the place; easy enough to do with the chairs they had places outside - which was a nice touch that not too many places ever consider doing. Mei (her name tag actually reads "May") took care of my UV gel pedicure. She was very gentle and gave a great 10 minute leg massage that was included in the green tea spa pedicure I chose. Another plus, the massage chairs they have ACTUALLY work and are fabulous! They didn't moan and creek like many of the other salons I've gone to; it was so soothing, I almost nodded off! Ahh, the life of a boy mom! They have a HUGE selection of colors for UV, and I picked this pretty trippy rose color (#23) that had an opal effect to it that was activated by a kind of magnet ($5 extra for the effect; well worth it). They are so awesome! I had a hard time making a decision, but ultimately picked my first choice. Can't wait to come back again and treat myself!

I understand that mistakes can happen, so instead of leaving a bad review immediately, I called the salon and politely asked if I could come back to have the width of my two thumbnails reshaped. What disappointed me even more was the owner's attitude on the phone. She sounded impatient and made me feel like I was being difficult for asking them to fix their own work. Good customer service isn't just about doing nails--it's also about how you treat customers when they have a concern. I wasn't asking for a refund or anything unreasonable. Arrived to my appointment and was greeted by the first desk's lady (which I assume is the boss) & she asked me what kind of pedicure I wanted - regular or gel, I said gel, she had me pick out my color & I confirmed again that the price was $37 - this including the color I had picked out. Fanny nodded her head and said yes. I asked her what does it include and she point to the paper on the wall that says "spa pedicure special" -- spa 1 starting at $40 with nothing noted under it and then spa 2 which includes a bunch of different things like a scrub, massage & lotion for $57. I told her no thanks, I wanted a regular pedicure which she replied ok -- then proceed to ask me to pick out a scent for the foot soak which I did (not knowing this was an UPSELL since on the wall they're also suggesting these scents and it's literally has the word written FREE on it). The scent package included a scent for the water, a scrub & a lotion. Halfway through, I 'm triple confirming with Fanny that this is the regular package which she reassured me that it was the "LEAST $$ package" that she's giving me. Now comes the fun part, I'm asking her what's the total and she goes $57 - I'm looking hella confused & she goes it's $40 for the pedicure and because you got gel, the total is $57???? So after having me confirmed three times with you that I'm only getting a gel pedicure, picked out my color, & told you that I only wanted a regular pedicure -- you decided for me that I wanted the second package, which you reassure me wasn't what I was receiving and then trying to "split it down" by saying you're charging me the first package price rather. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS NAIL SALON UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET SCAMMED AND OVERPAY FOR LITERALLY EVERYTHING.
