How I haven't revisited here in 11 years is really beyond me. Unlike most nail salons in the area, this place actually opens up at 9 AM if you're looking to be in and out before the weekend rush. I called in advance just to make sure it was OK to take me as a walk-in, and it was no problem at all. The staff are all super friendly, sweet, and truly genuine in professionalism and for making you feel comfortable. They have a much larger selection of colors to pick for your gel manicure. If you pay cash, it's $32 which is pretty reasonable if you are planning to use a credit card it will come out to $33. I had a lovely technician who also gave me a great free back massage prior to finishing. I was in and out in slightly over an hour. I'm super happy with my nails and how clean my cuticles are! If I could give zero stars I would. I walked in with my 16 year old daughter and asked for tips and wraps. We're not novices or newbies and know what the cost is. Twenty minutes later, he then tells me I owe him $65. I asked him why the nails were so expensive and he said they were permanent French. Something I absolutely didn't and wouldn't have asked for. I asked him why he thought it was okay to perform a service I didn't ask for and he couldn't answer me. I paid because I refused to let this person ruin my daughters birthday and told him never again and will make sure no one else will make the mistake I did. Call in advance to make an appointment (I usually ask for Rosa or Linda) for a mani pedi or expect a wait. They take their time and have never rushed me. Their mani pedis actually take longer than usual so I wouldn't stop in if you are on the run, but you get what you pay for. Tip: if you are getting a pedi, ask for an extra 10 minute leg massage. My daughter went in for a 35 minute foot rub, which it was priced at $1.00 a minute, $35.00 total. The owner of the salon was the person who gave her the rub. She proceeded to use the timer which was set for 35 minutes and she was shown this. After 33 minutes she was told she was done. She never showed the completed timer, however, my daughter saw it never went off and she still had two minutes left. My daughter essentially got screwed out of 2 minutes and $2.00. Please be aware. This is not the first time. You can be sure we will not patronage this establishment. read more

What an amazing place! Clean and very professional. I'm from Queens but since a friend of mine had an appointment around the corner we decided to get pedicures. We both loved the way they took their time. I also got callus remover treatment and the girl doing my feet (Iris) did a great job!!!! She really took her time to scrub my feet because they were in really bad shape since I work on my feet all day long! I also got a manicure and again she took her time to cut every single cuticle!!!! When I finished I asked if I could sit and wait for my friend until she finished and they said yes. As I was waiting they offered me a paraffin treatment because they knew I was waiting and also saw how dry my feet were even after all the pampering they did to them! Such a great experience over all !!! If I lived here this would definitely be my go to spot. They're prices are very reasonable too! read more

It's more like 3.5 stars. Let me start off with saying that the owner was very accommodating. I came in at 7:35 to get tips done when they close at 8. I was half expecting to be turned away cause you know it's so late and tips take a while but no. He took me and started on my nails immediately. I did however feel a bit rushed, he didn't cut my cuticles and he threw the acrylics on so they're not cut entirely evenly. It was just a bit annoying for sure. Also the price was a little too expensive for my taste. 38 dollars for tips is a bit high. Anyway, the design he made was great and my nails look good. This place used to be my go to. But over the last few months the quality of work has really gone down. More often than not I end up returning within the week because of the poor job someone did on my nails. I literally left today and once I was able to see my nails in real light I was able to identify many mistakes. One nail wasn't filed evenly, the sides of my pinky nail weren't polished completely and the edges of my nails weren't painted either. The idea of someone getting this service is so that they can have nice fresh complete manicures. I genuinely hope that the owners recognizes why he doesn't have a wait on a Sunday afternoon compared to every other salon in the neighborhood. I will not be returning to get my nails corrected, it simply isn't worth my time or my patience. No customer should have to feel like they've wasted money and time after leaving a salon. I went in for the first time today with no appointment. It was not busy and I was seen right away. I got tips with gel polishes. She did a wonderful job on my nails! I got pink and silver glitter. My only complaint is that the polish does not cover my whole nail. She didn't get the edges or the very top. But I'm not picky so I am letting it go. I only noticed upon close inspection. If i had told her, I'm sure she would have happily fixed it. My total came to 62$ a bit pricey for my taste but I didn't ask beforehand so that's my fault. "After 12 years of getting the ubiquitous mani/pedi in salons from Park Slope to Bay Ridge I have seen the light! This nail salon gives the best, by far! They are thorough, professional, super-duper clean and their hand and foot massages (provided during the 'typical' mani/pedi' not some pricey 'spa'-version) literally gave me goosebumps. And they have the Food Network on their television (novel treat after frequenting salons that play Nickelodeon or some random satellite newscast from a distant Asian land). $25 on a Saturday, not sure if they do a reduced price Mon-Wed like many of the nail places do. Fantastic, fantastic service. I came in on Tuesday at about 5:45- right before the post-commute rush. I was given the best mani-pedi I've ever had, plus amazing foot/leg, hand, and shoulder massages. I was in no rush to leave, so they took their time, spending over an hour making sure everything was perfect (including fixing two nails that I smudged because I thought they were dried before they were). While I was there, a woman came in asking for a "quick French pedicure" and they had her in and out with a perfect pedi in about 20 minutes. Incredible! I hate going into a nail salon and not knowing if it will be a good outcome. You can go anywhere and find one person that does nails really well but at Pink & White, all the girls seem to know what they are doing. It puts my mind at ease that I can walk in whenever I get a chance and get my nails done right. They pay attention to detail without being pushy. I am giving Pink and White three stars because the establishment is clean, friendly and reasonably priced. Danny is now working at Latoue Nail Spa on 82nd and 3rd ave. If you are Danny's customer and they tell you that she is on vacation, they are just trying to keep you as a customer, she isn't there anymore. read more
