1 Vanilla Bourbon (GEA) Milkshake
Jacquelyn O.

Located in downtown Hudson is New City Microcreamery. This is a large ice cream shop that also sells coffee and tea. We were greeted upon arrival. They have traditional ice cream flavors along with some new ones. I had salted cookies and cream in a homemade waffle cone. One of the best ice cream's and cones I have had. My daughter had cake batter with homemade whipped cream. She loved it. My husband had a vanilla bourbon milkshake and said it was one of the best milkshakes he has had. They had indoor and outdoor seating. There was plenty of space. I can't wait until we are in the Hudson area again so we can get more ice cream.

I was impressed by the variety of flavors available. New City in Hudson is spacious with plenty of seating and even offers board games for guests to enjoy. I tried the tiramisu and salted cookies and cream flavors. While the tiramisu was a bit underwhelming, the salted cookies and cream flavor was absolutely delicious. My mom opted for the cake batter flavor and loved it. My mom and I had different opinions on the waffle cone. My mom really liked it, but I found it to be way too sweet for my taste.

Ahhhhhh! Feels like joy! Always fresh, creamy and dreamy ice cream (mint chip my go to, zero artificial color or flavor), served by a happy team!!! Of course crunchy crushed buttery waffle cone... just what the doc ordered.

Spacious ice cream shop with plenty of fun and original flavors. They have a small water station so you don't have to spend money on a bottle of water when the sugar hits you and you get thirsty, which makes up for the child sized ice cream clocking in at $4.75. I tried a vegan option - raspberry lemonade. We had a big dinner so the sorbet was the right choice- It was refreshing and sweet. Others in my party ordered salted caramel. They liked it. One got the salted caramel topping and didn't love the topping, but still thought the ice cream was pretty good. They have a freezer with specialty treats including boxes of mini ice cream cones with the tops dipped in chocolate. I would have purchased them if we were going home directly. Parking is on the street. We didn't have a problem finding a spot. Friendly and helpful staff. We will be back.

Such a great place. Cool vibe. Amazing icecream and super nice staff. They even make icecream cakes which are amazing!

Absolute ripoff. Stay away. We were absolutely horrified by the insanely priced scoops of ice cream which are meticulously weighed by the server to avoid over serving even 1/10th of a gram. This isn't Paris or London it's g'dam Hudson MA. We havent been here in a few years and it's absolutely NOT our go to after dinner at the Rail Trail. Sure hope it closes down soon.

Bananas Foster Milkshake

There's nothing quite like elevated ice cream. After dinner, my work group decided a sweet treat would cap the night off perfectly. Enter New City Microcreamery! I deliberated on all the core flavors and the rotating "taps" -- finally landing on a boozy Bananas Foster milkshake. I'm a sucker for anything banana but throw some butter, brown sugar and rum in there.. man! I've nearly had it all; the traditional bananas foster dessert, pancakes, waffles, and french toast but never in a velvety, sippable form. I can see why this place is dubbed the best ice cream in Massachusetts. Thanks New City for ending our night with some sweetness!

Vanilla Bourbon & Newtella Roche (sp?) kiddie scoops

Had dinner at The Rail Trail Flatbread Co. with my mother and definitely couldn't skip dessert, so we walked across the street to New City Microcreamery...Lucas whom helped us was patient, a complete doll, super sweet & professional!

This is a spacious coffee shop/creamery with many interesting flavors available. They allow you to sample flavors before deciding and I kind of wish I had tried more. I got the bourbon vanilla, which was creamy and definitely representative of both those flavors, and the Mexican chocolate, which I regret getting a little--it was good but nothing really special and the texture was not as creamy. My boyfriend got strawberry and Oreo and both those flavors were great even though I normally don't like strawberry ice cream. The texture of all the ice creams I tried here are decently creamy, but lacking (in my opinion) in some way that I can't really put my finger on. They seem a little "dry" and not as soft to me and that's probably the best way I can put it. The ice cream here was also pricy and portions were not up to par with your standard New England creamery, though I understand that's not what this place is. I am used to being able to get a one scoop or kiddie scoop with two flavors in it and still have the cone or cup be satisfyingly overflowing. Here you have to get two scoops for two flavors. I don't regret coming though and might return if in the area to try more flavors.

Employee with green hair was rude and passive aggressive. Not friendly and didn't welcome us in. Do not feel welcomed here.

Lobster was perfectly cooked. And plenty in every bite. Second order 1 large medium roast coffee. was a breakfast of champions. Corned beef hash, String potatoes. Choice of sausage, bacon or chorizo. Choice of toast and a fruit cup. The lobster omelette was delivered and eaten while the staff miscommunicated and never placed the order for the breakfast of champions. I waited until my wife was done with her lobster omelette before mentioning I was forgotten. I brought this to the attention of management explained that I was traveling through and needed to be back on the road. She apologized and offered to expedite that for me. She also gave us a couple of sweet treats as another apology. She did and I am glad I did. My breakfast was excellent. Just had to eat it on the go. Which I'm used to with all the traveling we do. So the miscommunication happened and the recovery was great. The ambiance is great open seating built with a homage to the town's industrial heritage. Definitely recommend Cafe 641.

The Landing at Hudson Mills is smack ripe to take their place in the reinvention. A couple of times a year, they will host events, that are not your cra-y crafty crud. Oh no, the local artisans from Hudson and adjacent towns will knock your socks off! I met the incredibly edible Jaimie and her partner, proud owners of simply scrunch (currently a farmers market/fair and online elves) - https://www.simplyscrunch.com/ - at the May event. And I am smitten. Visit her website, she has the most beautiful olive-wood cheese boards encrusted with flowers and fruit, that are simply delightful. Her photography is delirously beautiful and her scrunchies are hand made and so adorable. Seriously, The Landing had them rocking their stuff along with other artisants, GLASS ARTISTS, AERIAL YOGA, Fine Party/Bridal couture. There is also a small museum to ode Hudson, and beautiful walking/running/biking trails right in its back yard. Rummage through the building for consignment, health and beauty, 2, yes 2 Cross Fit centers, and wonderful breakfast/brunch/lunch water holes that will leave you craving for decadence at the Wild Hare or "health nut" "clean eating" at Good Earth. They will tickle your professional fancy AND welcome you. The people are treasures! You want to work here. You NEED to be here!
