We stopped by for ice cream. The farm is cute and scenic and I guess you can host events here like weddings. They don't offer samples of the flavors, but all the ones we ordered were pretty good. We had the chocolate lovers, vanilla, strawberry cheesecake, and Oreo flavors. Some of them were a bit icy but quite creamy. I think my favorite was the fudgy chocolate flavor, vanilla was okay but not one of the best I've had. This is a good local option for ice cream, glad we found it as it's on our way home from work! There was one lady working at the ice cream counter and she was nice. You can only tip with cash, so keep that in mind. read more

Flavours are limited but extraordinary, if you are a coffee lover do try the dirty water flavour. It's amazing, with every bite you will taste coffee with the chunk of chocolate chip. Loved it. read more

The only real bad thing is now is that they're really only open for ice cream. They used to be a full like Farm stand with the barbecues in strawberry festivals and blueberry festivals and pick your own apples and stuff and now they just have ice cream. It was kind of letdown going actually really thought I'd find everything else but I didn't but it was OK. Ice cream was a little bit pricey I probably don't think I'll go again only because of the prices and stuff. The people were very friendly still, but I just missed the other stuff although barbecues and things. read more

Came here on a Friday night in the fall for some ice cream and absolutely loved it. First off, this farm is absolutely adorable. It's a very cute and cozy small place that makes you feel very welcome. There was one lady working there and she was SO nice and happy to assist us. The ice cream was great, not a ton of flavors but there is still something for everyone. I can't wait to come back for some pumpkins and donuts! read more

Beautiful family owned apple orchard. A great, less busy/less commercial option for a nice family event.

If you're looking for a relaxing place to have a treat, this is your place. My family visiting from Texas (and myself) headed down Sawyer Hill Rd. for a sunset, but decided to get some ice cream at Berlin Farms. We were told about it by a local and took their advice. It's an old farmstead from the 1860s, now family run. They specialise in raising traditional farm animals, and serve a few sweet treats. We had a yummy banana split, and everyone had their own things. Toasted coconut and cookie dough seemed to be the winners. We walked around on the grounds a bit, saw some lovely Goslings, a beautiful Frisiean Horse, and enjoyed the hilly evening views. There's some nice tables to sit and eat, a firepit that gets turned on around sunset, and overall a peaceful vibe. They sell farm fresh eggs, and during non-COVID times, have much more going on. Do yourself a favor and go enjoy the peace of the countryside. read more

Came for ice cream. Gorgeous setting. Big white barn. White corrals. Duck pond. Horses. Beautiful stone walkways. Ice cream was meh. They were out of almost half the flavors. The coffee kahlua brownie was very bland. No coffee or kahlua flavor. And could barely find the brownies. Ordered kiddie cones. $3.50 each. They were definitely kiddie sized. When they say 1 scoop, they mean one perfectly round scoop. No extra. read more

Fantastic ice cream, great cones! I am very particular about the scooping and cone presentation and I was very pleased. I love Berlin Farms. Its my go to place for ice cream. Located on a quiet street in farm country. They use Richardson's ice cream. Which I love. Prices are cheap and the atmosphere is great. Grab your cup or cone and take a walk down to the ducks or over to the horses. Sit on bench and enjoy your ice cream as you overlook the rolling grass hills of the farm. Apple Cider doughnuts are to die for but they dont have them all the time. :( What many people dont know is they used to have a restaurant. I was there the other day and saw the sign up but it was closed in the winter. The store portion is now closed due to the bad economy. I hope they stay open. Its sad to see local business go under. Anyway, the restaurant is just a few small wooden tables and chairs. The farm owner/operator makes up your breakfast in the back...just for you. I would go for sunday breakfast and loved it. I never saw anyone else at the restaurant. My boyfriend and I enjoyed a quiet breakfast alone. It was great. Breakfast for 2 for $10. No wonder you are going out of business! I made sure to give her a good tip. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL ECONOMY! Go here... read more

I had a really disappointing experience, the other day. I made a special trip out here to get cider donuts, on Derek's suggestion. I get there, and no donuts. Well, I didn't call first, but the web site says they make them, and there's a big old sign on the roadside saying they have them.... Apparently, they won't be making them for awhile. Hint: take the sign down, until you do. They had some gourmet goodies there that looked good. But, no local corn. They've got a big old cornfield out back, but no corn for sale at a farm stand in New England in August. Splain that, please. Actually, there was a general dearth of local produce, which made me sort of sad. I met a really friendly goat, though, and had a nice ride out on the motorcycle. That made it all okay. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Farm fresh eggs. Beautiful apples, jams, their own honey. Gifts, locally crafted. Great service. Not too crazy about the apple cider doughnuts - doughy and bland - but there is enough to choose from, including ice-cream! What a little gem! read more

Place is special. It was very clean with great views. They have two horses and a pony. You cant touch them but they are beautiful. Not to mention a flock of geese and numerous chickens. There's even an enclosure with two swans and sometimes a random duck or seven. You can pick your own fruit when in season. Have never done that before but want to try it. On a huge plus side they have an ice cream window. With all the flavors and fixings. Perfect treat after a day at the farm. read more

Delicious little ice cream shop with a window outside and seating on nearby benches. I got the kiddie size of pumpkin ice cream, a seasonal flavor for fall, in a cone. Most beautiful view on 495 overlooking horse farms, pine trees and hills in the middle of Berlin, the truest rustic town. I have been coming here for years, owners are very cordial. Bargain of the week: had a frappe and hot dog for only $7, can't do nearly that well anywhere around here. I think they have a junior cone for only $2. They have picnic tables for seating. They also are now giving riding lessons, and have hay rides and cider donuts in the fall. While in the neighborhood keep heading West on 62 and check out the Native American shop and woodworker's studio. read more

We wanted to try a place we hadn't before for icecream so we took the little journey out to Berlin Farms after reading reviews here on yelp today. When we arrived there we noticed maybe one or two families outside looking at the animals so we figured we got there at a non busy time. First we wanted to check out the general store. As we entered there was a younger woman on her phone texting. I said hello but she said nothing as if what she was doing was far more important than my little girl and I being there. My family and I continued to look around. We noticed much of what was on the counters were bare and unstocked. Needless to say we walked around listening to the "help" talk about what they would need for the week which was ok, but we really didn't need to hear the arrival of their new toilet. Or how the other felt the need to "order" the other to do things not ask. Finally after being totally ignored we figured we would try out the ice cream which is why we were there in the first place. A short walk later we were infront looking at the ice cream menu. I wasn't too impressed with the selection. To top it off I don't like when prices are not listed. It really would have helped if someone was at the window to answer questions. But, once again not a soul to help the customer. We stood there waiting for maybe a minute or two and got sick of the treatment or non treatment we were recieving. I can't understand how this place can stay in business with the horrible service and lack of curtiousy this place has to offer. We left without buying a thing and will never waste our time there again. Possibly it was just one of those days, but considering there was maybe 8 customers there the least they could do was say HELLO? read more
