Pina colada (no actual pineapple or coconut pieces...)

I used to love this place! This year was a big disappointment. Pina colada ice is NOTHING like it was. I'm wondering if they are actually using the previous recipes? How can they carry over the name CoCo's Tropical Ice and have it taste so monumentally different. It's unfortunate but I can't recommend spending top dollar for frozen tasteless ice.

Piña colada ice. Definitely ice, where's the piña colada?

We went to Coco's often over the years and I couldn't wait for it to open every spring. We finally got a chance to get there and it was the greatest of disappointments. We always got the piña colada which we loved because of the flavor, how smooth it was and the pieces of pineapple and coconut throughout. They should change the name of the place as they dishonor the owners that retired. We got the piña colada like we always had but it was a bunch of flavorless ice. No pineapple, no coconut and just a lot of tasteless ice. The smoothness is also gone. A total waste of money. Although it's a bit of a distance, we will have to go to Richie's slush in Everett.

Tastes like the tropics! I had the piña colada shaved ice topped with coconut soft serve and it reminded me of my childhood days spent in Puerto Rico. Absolutely flavorful and full of pineapple & coconut chunks. How have I never been here?! It's so good I'm actually planning on bringing my fiancé here tonight, lol. Service was awesome and the variety of flavors and combinations seem limitless...and I plan on trying them all!

Hidden gem/ best place ever in Worcester! The soft serve and slush combo is the best combo ever. I got the passion fruit and mango slush ice with vanilla soft serve in medium cup for about 5$. This has to be the best dessert place that I have ever tried and finished! There are plenty of other flavors if you don't like the one I chose. Parking: There is a parking lot outside If you are in the area please try this place you won't regret!

Place is great, the kids love everything they offer. Always something to try and we haven't even tried the ice cream yet. Glad it's here in Auburn.

Today I visited CoCo's Tropical Ice in Auburn with my family. The girl who worked there was excellent. She was helpful, and patient with my kids. She didn't hesitate in offering to get my son samples of a few of their icee drinks. I got a Strawberry Smoothie. My son got their blue raspberry icee, and my daughter and fiancé got the Cotton Candy Soft Serve. It's decorated super fun with a jungle theme ; has board games for the kids to play while they cool off; and the customer service I received far exceeded anywhere I have been for ice cream this summer I would recommend CoCo's to anyone. Two thumbs up for Customer Service; fairly priced, clean; and just an overall fun and different spot to get a refreshing drink or ice cream on a hot August Afternoon.

Only open on Friday Saturday and Sunday's! They have more than thirty soft serve flavors as well as specialty ice flavors! I really like the variety of flavors, plus you can get all sorts of toppings for your yogurt and ice cream too. Price wise you're paying the same as cold stone if you are getting a large and add a waffle cone. The specially flavors cost one dollar extra. They also upcharge for waffle cones.

The strip mall store front doesn't quite do justice to the wonders that lay beyond the door. Walking into CoCo's you are greeted with palm thatched canopies and a variety of tropical treats. I have a real soft spot for Italian ices. But I have to confess, that it's really just not the same for me when they aren't served in those pleated paper cups which generally disintegrate by the time you get to the end. However, those are hard to find these days, even in the pushcarts around NYC. The owner was incredibly patient with the indecisiveness of my family as they took their time figuring out what flavors to order (or if they were going to order anything at all). My choice was easy, having heard such good things about the pina colada. My daughter was offered a sample of the cotton candy flavor straight away, but she asked for a taste of cherry just to compare. My mother and son both went for mint chocolate chip. The tab for three minis and small was about $11. Of those three flavors, the pina colada was the best by far. I'm opposed to mint chip being green (and am not a fan of chips in water ice). And while the flavor of the cotton candy was true to the state fair confection, it's flavor out of a bottle. I'm looking forward to getting back in for the lemon, and the mango, and will keep my fingers crossed that one day they'll have a plain chocolate (my favorite flavor of them all). But given how convenient a stop this is off Route 90 on the way to or from Boston or Providence, I foresee many trips here in the future. Glad to have found it, and I'm glad they are so accommodating to those paralyzed by so many choices.

My friends and I stopped here on our way back to New Jersey from Boston because we were in the mood for some ice cream and I am so happy we did. This place was absolutely the cutest. It is amazing how many flavors they have. On my stop I got a small gelati which consisted of mango and lemon ice which were the flavors I chose and pomegranate soft serve ice cream. It was absolutely delicious.

Ice is pretty good the cherry is fine but the Blue raspberry stinks. The chocolate peanut butter was really good though.

"It's all too much for me to take The love that's shining…read moreall around you Everywhere, it's what you make For us to take, it's all too much" (The Beatles) OK friends, here's a serious question. In all your years of going to restaurants and food stands, have you EVER seen a customer refuse something they ordered because the portion size was too much? Well, I'll willingly put my right hand on a stack of hot fudge cans and swear to the Chocolate Chip gods that I saw such a rare curiosity yesterday at Gibson Brothers Dairy Farm. A guy in front of us ordered a large cup of ice cream, and when the window attendant handed it to him it sure looked like it was the size of a quart container. The shocked customer said, "there's no way I can eat all of this, and I hate to waste food, so can you take some of this back?" Of course, she couldn't take it back, so the guy bravely took away his ice cream, sat at a picnic table with his buddy, and gave it the old college try. Luckily, we didn't order any large portions, just a small soft serve and a small cone. Our order was the culmination of a very long study of the flavors on the menu board, because Gibby's has over 70 types of hard ice cream and over 20 flavors of soft serve. My wife's small cone of banana walnut chocolate chip was immense, and the window attendant told us they use a scoop the size of a softball! The ice cream had plenty of walnuts and chocolate chips but we thought it was light on banana flavoring. I went with a small cup of white chocolate macadamia soft serve. Both of our ice creams ran around $10. Gibson Farms has been in Worcester for 100 years and has become a local institution. There are benches and picnic tables on a deck, and more benches and tables on the lawn to the side of the stand. And how did our friend with the gargantuan cup of ice cream do? Sad to say we saw him toss half of it into a trash can after he hit his limit. So -be advised a "large" is obscenely large, but a helluva bargain for around $6.

The ice cream is excellent, however, the service is terrible. I've been there a few times just…read morehoping that the last time was a one in a million experience. I now keep ice cream and all the toppings at home.
