Look at my photo and judge for yourself. Will never go back. These were my 'fried' wontons. Burnt, deep fried, greasy, blown-out, gross.

Chicken Fried Rice

Shouldn't chicken fried rice have SOME color in it? If you want carrots, fried egg, peas or any of the other stuff you expect, do you have to order vegetable fried rice? Anyway, the chicken fried rice was just as flavorless as it looked. From the reviews. I expected more!

Chinese take-out. Quick service. It's pretty typical for this type of restaurant.

We just had our 2nd visit to XO Brasserie this evening and we just can't stop talking about how…read moreamazing the whole experience was! Our server was Jessica. She was so personable and knowledgeable - she made great suggestions that were spot on! Our food was delivered by the actual owner - Mr. Herman Ng! He is delightful and his passion for the restaurant and highest quality diner experience is evident !!! We are so impressed with XO Brasserie! And the food ... absolutely amazing! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu! This was a five star dinner in every regard! Can't wait to return!

And I wanted to try the Young Chow Fried Rice and the Sweet & Sour Glazed Wings...all phenomenal. All of this was plenty to share among three people for happy hour fun. And what's happy hour without the cocktails? I had the Chinese Awakening (strong but great) and the Golden Phoenix (which was purple and not gold, but still good). I'd definitely return for the full dining experience next time I'm back home!

We discovered this restaurant thanks to our amazing walking tour guide…read more The restaurant has a unique vibe in that it's located in the same building as the Pour House. You can always grab a bite here and then head next door for some live jazz! That being said, the food was phenomenal. Everything is unapologetically spicy, so be prepared! We had the biang biang noodles, the lamb dumplings, Dan Dan noodles, and the fried green beans. Everything was delicious but my favorite were the Biang Biang noodles. Honestly wish I had discovered this spot a day earlier as there were probably 6 other items that I wanted to try! lol I'd highly recommend it if you're in town.

The ambiance is very charming, making it a great spot for a casual yet elevated dinner. The Drink: We tried the traditional infused Baijiu for the first time. It's a concentrated liquor that packs a serious punch! It's served in a vessel smaller than a shot glass and meant to be sipped. One of the staff members shared the history and craft behind it, which made the experience feel like a genuine cultural exchange The Food: The Hot and Sour Mushrooms are the unsung heroes of the menu. They were earthy, tangy, and the perfect palate cleanser between bites of the fiery Cumin Lamb Noodles. Can't wait to go back and try other menu items!
