This is my go-to Chinese restaurant. The lunch combos are really good. A great amount of food for a good price in my opinion. I love that they to-go orders are packaged in reusable containers. A plus for me. I typically get the wonton soup (hit or miss, based on soup temperature not flavor). If I get a lunch combo I get the sweet and sour chicken with house fried rice. It's always hot, crunchy and saucy. The sweet tea is good as well, not a cup a diabetes like McDonald's, lol. Best Chinese food I've had, ever. I ordered a spicy tofu dish and got to try a crispy kung pao chicken one as well as egg rolls. The kitchen was visible and the food was cooked in about 30 minutes for carry out. I found the price to be incredibly reasonable as each main dish yielded about 2.5 meals with rice. read more

I seldom allow myself take out because I'm so tempted by hamburgers and fries. Finding healthier options is difficult if you are looking beyond salads. I love good Chinese food and occasionally find that takeout is delicious and affordable. There are so many Chinese restaurant options that finding a consistently good one can be a hit or miss deal. Out of town recently, I tried this restaurant for takeout. On the plus side: variety of dishes, fresh ingredients, choice in portion size, fair price, and convenience. The only negative was the taste of the food itself. The only way to give it any flavor would have been to drown it in soy sauce. read more

By far the best chinese food in Augusta! I have never gotten something there that wasn't good! Their steamed dumplings are so good and they make the best House Angel Hair dish in town!! We have tried all the other chinese restaurants in the area and always come back to New China! I work right up the hill in the University Hospital complex and have gotten everyone I work with addicted to New China too! We get lunch from there pretty much every week! Fast service, friendly people, and really great food, what's not to love!!! read more

I am a huge fan of Asian cuisine, and I was really excited to find a restaurant that offered Take out so close to my home. The staff was polite on the phone, the food was moderately priced, and quickly prepared. The chicken fried rice was mushy, and the lo mien noodles were as well. The sweet and sour chicken, spring rolls, and beef and broccoli were decent. I don't think we experienced the best this restaurant had to offer, so we will be dining in the next time to give them a fair shake read more

Bad food and horrible service! Don't have lunch here. I had a bad experience. The rice wasn't good and when I approached the cashier she said it was crunchy rice. I damn well know the difference between crunchy rice and rice that is not cooked! I told her I couldn't eat it and she said NOTHING!! She would rather be cheap than please her customer! The rice wasn't even tasty! The lomein was decent not your greatest! I highly recommend Egg roll Express. More delicious food and better prices for what you get! there's not much to say about this place, it's your typical chinese takeout joint but the food was really good! i got general tso's chicken and my husband got sesame chicken, and the breading was crispy and delicious on them both. the full-size portions (not combination platters) are big enough for 2+ meals with the included rice. we'll be back! read more

Clean restaurant. Easy to get to. Order was ready quickly. Horrible fried rice...it is yellow, like Spanish rice, with almost no onion, pork or egg in it. Egg rolls are horrendous also. Beef and broccoli was good. Sweet and sour chicken was ok...I am used to onions, carrots and peppers in this dish, but in this one, there were none. No mustard packs given. Here's a tip...if you place a pick up order, be sure to check your order before you leave, as they totally forgot one dish in mine, and Ivhad to go all the way back for it. I went in New China for the first visit because the guy in Publix's said it was a good place to eat. I arrived about 3 Pm and the lady said we are on supper menu now. Ok, then i placed my order of sesame chicken plate. While I was waiting a salesman there and the lady who was suppose to be fixing my food was talking business with him. When she finally looked up I said where is my food? She went back to get it and put it into a to go box. I was eating in. Then as I was ready to eat my food I tried the chicken and the first piece was crunchy. Then another piece was the same and no chicken nuggets in the middle like I am use to. I called her over to see what I was talking about and I personally showed her. I said I haven't found any chicken in the breading yet. Then I came across a few very small amounts. When I told her I was disappointed being my first experience she said she did not take me serious because no one has ever told her about the sesame chicken like that. Sorry, but when I have to pay for a item that was not right I will let you know. This will be the last time I eat here. Do not stop at the restaurant. read more
