The idiots at the parking ramp near my work really don't know how to park and did more than just "ding" the front right of my not-even-a-year-old car! I was sick about it. Brought it into New Central Auto Body in my neighborhood. The work they did on making my car, with less than 8000 miles on it, look like it was Brand New again, was just short of an artistic masterpiece!! I was soooooo pleased!!! Plus, they handled all of the insurance mumbo jumbo, thank you. I worry that the idiots who use the same parking lot will attempt to park again, with my precious car taking a beating. Had about 17k of hail damage repair done here on a car I bought a few weeks before the 2023 hail storm. Service completed in winter 2023 or early 2024. Pictures speak for themselves, 2 before and 2 after pictures included. I can put my fingers between the hood and the fender. Brought it back for service request under warranty and they blamed a prior owners car accident for it and that they repaired the hail damage. Said they couldn't really fix it and he's confident his tech did everything possible to fix it already aside from taking the whole car apart or having people manually bend the hood. Doesn't seem like a legit response to me. Even if the hood is tough to fit due to a prior accident, it was fine before I brought it to them. Lifetime warranty claim seems a little washy here. I'd go elsewhere. read more

This used to be a good , excellent body shop when Adam owned the shop several years ago . This body shop had my wife's car since mid February and still does not have it back . The owner Marquis will have his excuse all lined up when he is confronted about his very unreliable service . First we were told the part would not come in until end of May . This was in February now, The part came in April now and he promised to make it first priority and would have it done by end of lady week . Now he's saying someone out sick and he doesn't know where this guy put the parts and he might have the car done the end of the week. Bottom line do use new central body shop. They are very unreliable and in fact Marquis will just give you a line and try to make sense about why he can't get our car back to us. He is unreasonable and careless with his business. Nope. Poor communication. Poor estimating skills. Poor turn around time. Called to see when we could pick up vehicle on the day it was supposed to be finished and they told us they hadn't even done anything because our insurance company hadn't gotten back to them. How about calling us after 5 days? We contacted our insurance and learned New Cental Auto had submitted an estimate that was 82% more than the original estimate. Come on. How long have you been in business and you can't estimate a repair better than this? The damage is so minor. Hit a plastic garabage can at 1 mile an hour backing up in the rain. Dented door and scratch along side. Then insurance company tells us they are totaling the vehicle. It's well below the MN threshold of 70% value so the entire thing is insane. Then it takes this company another 4 days to get the thing back together. We bring our car in to get fixed. We lose thousands of dollars in the process, go without a car for 9 days and now have a big fight on our hands. What did New Central Auto Body have to say, "Oh, this happens all the time." So these pros get extra props because they not only fixed my '07 Civic and made it look shiny and new again, they RE-FIXED it for free when I snagged that ridonk low bumper cover on some kind of grassy crap. I first came to NCAB because someone backed into me at an intersection and damaged my front bumper. I also had some parking lot nicks and such that I wanted to get fixed on my own. In total, I went to four or five different places (all well-rated on Yelp or by word of mouth), and NCAB had the lowest estimate for the whole kit and caboodle. They also offered a free loaner car which was a big freaking deal. So I decided to go with NCAB. It actually ended up being this huge long wait to get the loaner car, and then there was this drama with my voicemail box being full and me not getting phone calls. In the end, they rented a car for me because the free loaner wasn't working out. I had to pay gas and a $12 fee + optional insurance. So keep that in mind if you're in a hurry (I wasn't, and thought this was above and beyond awesome). My car was ready the next day and looked amazing. They even provided a small container of paint for me to cover any new parking lot nicks. I drove away and was the most careful driver I had ever been with any car ever. Needless to say, I was pretty dismayed about two weeks later, when I walked out to my car to see that a corner of the bumper cover had snapped away from the car. Assuming it was a faulty part, I called NCB and they suggested I bring it in. When Adam looked at the car, he pulled some handfuls of grass out of the cover--I was mortified. Apparently I had snagged the cover on a small hill or something and that snapped it. Regardless, they fixed it AGAIN FOR FREE because they are the freaking epitome of rad neighborhood businesses. I have have a great experience at New Central over the past eight months when I used New Central on three different occasions. The first two were on my truck when I had the misfortune to have two claims three weeks apart. Their admin work was stellar working with my insurance agent. They communicated in a timely fashion and did superb work on the truck itself. The third was just a few weeks ago with a minor issue many shops would not have even bothered to look at. Taylor put me on the calendar and dutifully took care of some touch up work that was not worth his time. Great to do business with this place. I hope I don't have to use them again but it's nice to have a "go to place" should my bad luck continue. read more

Auto repairs can be nerve-wracking; you come in for one problem and many places will try to scare you into spending on additional work that they insist you need, or else something really bad will happen. Who knows if they're telling the truth. This was not the case at all with New Central. I needed to small repairs on different areas of my car. Adam was very honest and helpful about what needed to be done and how much it would cost. There was no upsale or obscure fees or charges. They waited for me to drive the damaged car over to the shop before they closed, then gave me and my dog a ride to the Enterprise rent-a-car. I got hit in a T-bone accident and my car had about $8,000 worth of damage to it. I took it to New Central and they took it right in and worked with me on the cost. They even let me bring my dog in with me while we got everything figured out and petted him and gave him treats!! A couple weeks later and my car was back looking better than it did when I dropped it off. Adam even made a special trip back to the shop after they closed early for a family event so I could get my car back for the weekend. I HIGHLY recommend New Central Auto! Brought my car in for some paint work. Dropped it off Sunday night and it was ready to go by Wednesday afternoon. Best part, my quote was for around $670.
