This is the most reasonable deli in the neighborhood. The cook is swift and if you order regularly he remembers your likes and dislikes. Everyone that works here is pleasant. My only gripe about this store is that you have to make your own coffee. There are specials for the food items (i.e. burgers and fries or 2 for 1 muffins clothes). 10/10 bodega, has cat. In this area, there's a bodega, and a deli, very close by. I think figuring out how to allocate resources between the two is an advanced Living in New York skill. New Blondie is a bodega, a corner store, and a very good one. Their sandwiches are truly excellent. They get their bread from Cammareri's, which was my childhood bakery, before they moved from Carroll Gardens. Those fluffy rolls, plus Boar's Head cold cuts, and guys who know and care about what they're doing - can't ask for more. They are a lot cheaper than the deli, for basics. Turkey sandwich, ham and cheese on a roll, even bacon, egg, and cheese, I'm going to the bodega every time. Cheesesteaks are great! They cook them from scratch, and the veggies always look clean and fresh. The guy who works the grill is a pro, and all the guys there are so nice. Love this place!! read more

I absolutely love this deli! The people who work here are super nice, and they always remember you after you come in a few times. They have a great selection of beer, including some more unique craft options, like double IPAs and good seasonal ones. (I especially appreciate this ever since the Prospector closed!) The variety of snacks is also really nice here - so many different flavors of kettle-cooked chips and a lot of gourmet chocolate bars! It's a fairly small place, but they also have a lot of other random food items you might need. I recently had one of their sandwiches for the first time, and it was amazing. They have a really extensive sandwich menu, and the turkey sub that I got was so delicious. It was also humongous (way bigger than I expected for the relatively inexpensive price). It had the best sauces on it, and all of the ingredients were super fresh. I can't recommend this deli enough! read more

Awful establishment and terrible food. I ordered a sandwich and asked for the basic dressings on the sandwich and they argued me down that I had to pay .50/topping for lettuce, tomatoes, pickles etc. I have had many a sandwich in my day in New York and elsewhere and I've never heard of such a thing. When I said okay, I'll pay. The girl with the shitty attitude behind the counter continued to mouth off that I should read what's in the sandwich description etc. and defend their terrible position. Super rude and disrespectful. Sure, there's the basic sandwich fillings but you don't charge people .50 and refused to open up their sandwich for mustard and add toppings. Poorly run business with ignorant staff and the sandwich tasted like crap. I have a feeling they don't treat ALL of their customers like that (if you get my drift), but I'm not even going to go there... read more

People focused, clean, organized and friendly place with fair pricing especially for a C Store here in NYC. Every time I come here I am greeted with a smile and a warm welcome! They take Apple Pay which is great for when I don't have my wallet after a run. I make it a point to stop by for different things. read more

I'm pretty happy that there's a neighborhood deli open late. The people there are always friendly as well.

I really appreciate that they have healthy snack options, a decent diversity of stuff here. The staff is very friendly.

Took them 15 minutes to prepare a basic turkey & cheese sandwich for me & my toddler, and they were not busy at all... i.e. no other customers in the store. Their selection is fine, but if you're looking for speed, you're better off somewhere else. read more

Regrettably I gave these folks a one-star rating a couple of months ago for not practicing Covid safety. It was upsetting for me because they were my favorite corner deli. Happy to report they are doing a lot better - a mask sign on the door and employees are also masking up...most of the time. read more

I really wish I could come here every day. However when they did their 'New Blondie' renovation, which involved replacing the entire storefront, re-pouring concrete in front of the store, and replacing the entire sidewalk in front of the store, for some reason they did not include a ramp to make the place legally accessible. So, there is an 8" step up into the store which prevents me and anyone like me from getting in. Oh well! read more

Basic deli with really good sandwiches. We're big fans of the egg and turkey bacon sandwiches, and the falafel/hero subs are great too. Deducting 1 star because sometimes it takes a really long time for them to make the sandwiches, but I think that is probably due to it being a new place with a new crew.The staff is friendly and they are open to suggestions. When I asked if they had soy milk for the coffee, the guy at the counter said he would get some. Solid place! read more

This place received 1 star only because it is actually open and seems cleaner than old Blondies. Service is horrendous. Employees are constantly ( I mean that literally) on the phone speaking loudly and do not pay attention to customers. I'd rather walk around the corner and go to the next deli. read more

This place is a gem. Come here all the time. I try and split my time between here and John's as I love both. The employees are so nice and helpful, the food is tasty (get the falafel - trust me) and when I'm in a pinch between grocery store runs I always find what I need here. read more

2 thumbs down. I was glad to see another Bodega opening up in the neighborhood.. however I've been very unimpressed with the results after each experience I've had in this place. Not a great selection of grocieries, about half the store (basically 1 whole side of it) is filled with a higher quality, over priced brand potato chips. The employees are very unsanitary, as I once ordered a sandwich that was made with only 1 glove on. I've seen other delis & bagel stores make me something small & simple that required the use of only one glove, them having the ability to butter a bagel & wrap it up using only one hand.. but this guy made me a cold cut sandwich & touched it at least 3 or 4 times with the hand that had no glove on. That was an immediate turnoff. I decided to give them a second chance, this time only buying groceries; & 2 out of the 5 products I bought were expired! A brand new store, & some of their groceries are already expired! Also, every employee I've encountered in there hasn't been the least bit friendly. In conclusion I'd much rather go to Johns deli around the corner on prospect. They have a bigger selection, better service, fresher food, & the store is always spotless. I live by the park & Blondies is obviously a closer/more convenient option for me so I was excited when they opened.. but because of everything mentioned above, I'd rather walk the extra half block to get to a real deli I'm Johns! read more
