This is a neighborhood go-to for a quick bite in the morning. I had the Everything Bagel with Lox and Cream Cheese. The bagel is pretty huge with decent filling. I do wish it was filled a bit more as I ended up eating only half my bagel because it was too much bread. This spot is convenient though if you're in the area. Came here to pick up a quick sandwich before my bus and was pleasantly surprised. It's a straightforward deli with various deli meats, cheeses, toppings and condiments to make your own wraps or sandwiches. They also have a menu for those who aren't sure what they want. The sandwich was pretty good, and the chipotle mayo gave a spicy/smokey flavor. And a plus is that the sandwiches are reasonably priced. read more

Nice little cafe in the nice park of Brooklyn. Stopped here for a cappuccino as soon as the joint opened up on a Sunday morning. The crew was a little perturbed I wanted a breakfast sandwich and cappuccino since they both take some time to prepare and they didn't even get to rub their eyes from bed yet but the clerk told me diplomatically to wait so I took a black coffee and went out for a smoke and came back. The coffee was horrible and I was wondering if it was from yesterday because I saw him making a full pot as I was waiting outside. But when I came back I ordered my wrap and cappuccino and they were both good. It's a tough spot to have a place like that because the surrounding population has personal live in chefs and don't like bacon egg and cheeses from delis. read more

Words cannot describe my love for Bona Fide. Their coffee is superb, their sandwiches delicious elixirs; in 20 degree weather I will gladly walk past the bodega downstairs and venture to this piece of heaven. They have an incredible beer selection, as well as homemade baklava and other desserts. Fantastic place with fantastic sandwiches. Everything is fresh, the owners are extremely nice, the place is very clean, well stocked, and looks nothing like a corner deli/mini mark. Stop by for a coffee or something if you're ever in the area! UPDATE: If you have one of the two Spanish guys in their late 20s, early 30s taking or making your order I would double check your food before you leave, I'm not sure if their English is bad or just their listening skills but nearly every order they've made for me has been wrong in some way, if it wasn't for them I'd give this place 5 stars for sure. If you have the older gentleman or the lady getting your food they are not only very good at getting you exactly what you want but they are very nice and hospitable as well. read more

They have a walk-in beer fridge here. I never knew that was something I needed in my life until I saw it. So yes, they have a crap ton of different craft beers. They take credit cards. Stayed in Brooklyn for a week. Every morning started off with a coffee and sometimes breakfast from this little gem. Food is excellent. Prices are so low, cheaper than back home in CT! Service is quick and friendly. Highly recommend stopping in to anyone looking for inexpensive coffee, or a light breakfast or lunch. read more

I live about a block and a half from this place so have been here numerous times. The owners are all extremely pleasant and I love to support local businesses. But they have a cockroach problem! I spotted them twice! Both times, near the coffee area. Once should have been enough for me but twice-yikes! I also noticed that they cover up their grade outside of their store? We moved to this area about 4 1/2 years ago and this place has been the oasis across the street from us. The people who own and run the store are the nicest people ever. Their sandwiches are not just made they are "crafted" with care and love. By far my favorite local cafe/deli. The owners and employees are all super friendly. The coffee is always fresh and prob the best coffee in Brooklyn and their food is amazing. My personal favorite is the Peter Luger burger - it is sooo juicy and delicious. I also grab sandwiches here every once in a while for lunch and have yet to be disappointed. Overall an extremely convenient and accommodating place. Oo and I can't forget about their walk in refrigerator for beer. When i have friends over they love running there and choosing from over 100 different types of beers - Bonafide is def a must go to place if you're in the area and their iced coffee reallly hits the spot on those hot summer days. read more
