I heard about New Birth Builders / Michael Joseph on Radio station KJLH. l checked with the California State Contractors License Board and the Better Business prior to calling for a consultation and found the company in good standing without any complaints. I checked the reviews on Yelp and found only one review which was positive , I called for a consultation for heating and air and to my surprise Michael Joseph answered the phone , I thought I was only going to get a voice mail , Michael Joseph and his project manager arrived at my home to give me a consultation the very next day , at a time that was convenient .I was disappointed that I could not get central heating and air due to my home having a flat roof ,no attic , and being on a foundational slab. Michael Joseph and his project manager explained the benefit of an energy efficient mini split heating and air system, I have to admit I was skeptical since I had only seen this system on TV programs like This Old House on HGTV in which these systems were always on a walls in the back grounds , in which they always tore out and replaced with central heating and air , continuing in my disappointment Michael Joseph and his project manager took the time to find several different sleeker looking models that would fit with any home décor and was less expensive than central heating and air . I was happy with sleek looking designs and color choices, the install took only 1 day, the project manager stayed at my home throughout the whole installation process and was on time professional , knowledgeable, and courteous , the crew cleaned up everything after completing the installation of the system and removing the old wall heater in which they drywalled and patched so the wall would look seamless , the project manager even called for the city inspection the next business day and was at my home during the inspection. The Lynwood City inspector was very impressed with the system and installation , and signed off without any problems I'm impressed with this systems performance and design it looks beautiful , I'm so happy I went with New Birth Builders / Michael Joseph he answered all my questions and concerns and worked to make me happy , now I have a new beautiful energy efficient heating and air systems that I can afford in which I enjoy . I want to thank New Birth Builders / Michael Joseph and his team for making this an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this company for all and any of your home repair, upgrade or beatification needs read more

Before I begin I would like to thank KJLH for advertising Michael Joseph of New Birth Builders on the radio. My roof was leaking for awhile. I would have had a new roof done a long time ago. I had numerous contractors look at my roof and gave me ridiculous estimates. I was sad and disappointed. I needed my roof fixed but I didn't have the cash nor the credit to get it done. And along came Michael Joseph from New Birth Builders, my hero. I called Michael, he made an appointment with me, which was outside his regular appointment time. When we met it was raining, go figure and he arrived on time. He sat down with me gave a presentation on the company and showed examples of roofing types and the estimated cost was reasonable. And I was able to go through the county PACE program to pay it off monthly. I thought for sure it would be a long wait for them to replace my roof (brand new roof ), but was I wrong. I received a call from Kim , as soon as the rain stopped. She informed me the team would be out to take measurements and prepare to get started. They got started in less than three weeks which was was estimated time given to begin the project. Once they began to work on my roof, it was completed in three days. I have a beautiful roof and no leaks. . A few tips I would give: make sure you cover up things in your garage, just in case the banging on the roof may loosen some debris; check and make sure nothing comes loose, i.e, water heater pipe/vent (if this happens they will reset or fix what's needed. With that said, I would recommend Michael Joseph of New Birth Builders. Kudos to the crew, they did a fantastic job. read more

I wanted to take the time to write this review of my experience with New Birth Builders because my experience with them could not have been any better. I first contacted them to give me an estimate on a new roof. The service I received was exceptional. The owner of the company promptly returned my initial phone call and scheduled an estimator to come to my house within 48 hours. The day before the appointment, the owner called to confirm the appointment and told me to expect to see Jerome, the assigned estimator, at the predetermined time. Jerome showed up on time and was extremely personable, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He took his time to explore the roof and then explain what the job entailed. Jerome was very patient and trustworthy. I had no doubt that his company would do an excellent job on my roof. When we discussed his estimate, there was no pressure or "salesman" type talk. In fact, after telling me the cost, he was very candid and even said that I would be able to find other roofers to do the job for less. But after hearing his estimate, and most importantly all the details that determined the cost, Including a great warranty, the cost of the job was understandable. Additionally, Jerome took the time to write down five references, that I could contact regarding the work of his company. I could not have asked for a more professional and complete estimate. Unfortunately, the estimate was outside of my budget. Going forward, if I need additional work on my house, I would call New Birth Builders first. I have no doubt in my mind they would do excellent work! read more

Im a KJLH listener, so for over a year I've listened to this company being advertised on the radio station, meanwhile dealing with a leaking roof, stucco falling off the house, facial board rotting all around the house and paint pealing. One morning on my way to work i was switching from KJLH to 94.7. While listening to 94.7fm they advertised New Birth Builders. After work i decided to call for an estimate and Jerome came out the next day. We walked around the house looking at all the problem areas, then we sat down and Jerome explained everything to me from how the approval process work, how i would make my payments, to the materials they would be using on the job. After approval they pulled the permits and started work the following week. One crew came out and stripped the roof, a second crew came out to clean up material left from stripping the roof then after inspection a third crew came out and installed the new roof. Once the roof was completed a fourth crew came out and started replacing all the rotten wood around the house, power washed the house repaired all the stucco around the house then painted, and the house looks GREAT. Both Jerome and the owner Michael Joseph called after completion wanting to know if i was pleased with the work as i am, everything there doing is top notch the best contracting experience I've had in my lifetime. We need more companies like this one, GOD BLESS NEW BIRTH BUILDERS. read more

This was a new project for me having a brand new roof put on the family home . It's a process that you have to go through, when getting a roof done. They began the work for a day or so, then the inspector has to comes out and inspect the roof after they remove the old roof. Then they work some more, and the inspector comes out again, which I am glad that the work gets inspected. I wasn't use to having material all over the place but that's how it goes when you're having work done. But now that the roof is done it looks like a brand new house. They took all the trash, and debri, away. The representative Robert Gardner, who came out when I was in a market to get the roof was awsome, he ask me how did I here about new birth I told him I heard the commercial on KJLH radio station so many times, so said to myself maybe I should give them a call. He answered my questions and concerns, if I called about something he answered his phone or if I had to leave a message he called me back. I am very satisfied with New Birth Builders. My roof looks great. Thank you Michael Joseph, Jerome Gardner and everyone at New Birth Builders. read more

I have been hearing about this company for several years on KJLH Radio and I am very glade I chose them. They did a fantastic job on the Cool life exterior stucco painting project, their price seemed reasonable and my house looks beautiful . The workers arrived on time, they wore masks, they cleaned up after themselves and let me know if there was something that needed my attention. As a matter of fact , they let me know about an issue with parts of my roof that was not installed properly by Sprint Remolding. I contacted the company and after a little drama, they finally repaired the problem. Jerome Gardiner, the sales rep. was excellent. I appreciated the fact that he did not try to bum rush me into getting the work done. He was kind and patient and addressed my concerns. Once the job was complete, he gave me electronic copies as well hard copies of my paperwork. As a senior citizen, I especially appreciated that as I prefer good old fashion paper. I would recommend them for your next housing project. read more

My mom's home was in need of repairs and a fresh coat of paint. I called New Birth Builders and they came out discuss all my financial options and we came up with the best solution, together. They respected my wishes of staying outside and wearing a face mask, as we are in a current pandemic. However, to continue with the house insurance I need the necessary repairs. Jerome & Michael were so helpful to our family. We searched for contractors for months and when we called Jerome, he gave us a reasonable, affordable quote so we decided to give them a go.
