Little gem tucked away in Lansingburgh. Been here for a decade! I personally love getting their cashew chicken, General Tso chicken, and their sweet and sour chicken! Their crab rangoons are flavorful and sweet, which is a refreshing twist compared to the savory salty ones I'm used to. Their egg roles are amazing! The chicken teriyaki sticks are always great, but The beef Lomain has unfortunately been lacking flavor lately, each time I've ordered. I thought at first it was a fluke but I think the recipe changed. Kinda just a noodle flavor with meat. Get the sautéed broccoli in brown sauce! You won't regret it. Staff are friendly at the counter when taking your order and when on the phone taking your order, but that's about it. They don't interact with you at all while you're there. They do offer a few tables for people to eat at, which is nice. Unfortunately it will smell like cigarettes sometimes while in there; maybe from someone standing at the back with the door open. It's not every time though. They also have a bunch of little trinkets for kids at the front counter! I am a huge fan of Hot and Sour Soup. There are only two restaurants that I have ever felt completely pleased with this dish. First, the legendary Wo Hop's in NYC's Chinatown, and here at New Bejing. It is delicious and consistent, at a surpringkt reasonable price. I am always treated with friendliness and couteous service. I highly recommend. read more

3 Straight times the order was wrong. 1st time asked for no veg in my LoMein, and of course it was in there. 2nd same thing( I order extra meat, but to be honest it doesn't seem like it with all the veg. And they were missing Egg Rolls. I promised I wouldn't order here again. Friends are here, that want to try it. I told them they would be disappointed, food is fine, execution sucks. They forgot all the Sanford the crab rangoon and dumplings. They sent driver back, but don't bother. Until they can do what they say, stay away. Not worth the continued disappointment. read more

I ordered lunch takeout again from New Beijing in North Troy. I got the L20 Shrimp with Garlic Sauce served with pork fried rice and can of soda, which was quickly cooked to order in about 10 minutes. The hot dish I ordered was quite good served in a round microwavable container and had fresh vegetables including broccoli, green peppers, onions, carrots, snow peas, celery, bamboo, water chestnuts and 5 large soft & tender shrimp (cleaned & no tails) in a sweet & spicy garlic sauce. Last time I ordered sweet and sour chicken they forgot to add in the dipping side sauce which is delicious I was disappointed

After trying several of the Chinese restaurants in the Cohoes/Troy area this has easily become my go to when I just don't want to think about what to eat and certainly what to cook. Sometimes we have that hunger that only a crispy egg roll can satisfy and NB's never fall short. I am not sure what their "secret" is but the food tastes 'cleaner' than all of the other like restaurants. Perhaps they change their oils more often or use a better brand but when I can always count on a nice fresh clean perfectly cooked order. The most recent dish I've had was the shrimp with garlic sauce and a bit of my companions vegetable lo mein. The sauce had just the right amount of garlic to taste without being compromised by copious amounts of sodium. Couldn't there been maybe 1 or 2 more shrimp- of course, but who doesn't want more shrimp! The vegetable lo mein was cooked and sautéed flawlessly leaving the noodles with an light and fluffy texture. So having never failed me time and time again they get nothing less than a stellar review. Bonus 'fortune cookies' are in order for friendly and the quickest service. Not so great. Fast. I got hot and sour soup, I don't like it. Soup in Cohoes is 10003% better. It's bland and "off". Cold sesame noodle, not good. Sauce already mixed in not enuff, not tasty either,. A few carrot bits on it, no scallions, sad,. Overcooked spaghetti. Egg roll, not cooked enuff, oil wasn't hot enuff,. Also bland. Boneless spare ribs combo. We ordered tonight (friday) at 6:35pm. The food finally shows up at our home 1:45 minutes later. They told us 45 mins but it took almost 2 hours. UGH. We paid over the phone with a credit card but the driver wanted to collect cash from us. After a lengthy phone conversation with the restaurant while we stood on the side walk in the 19 degree cold, he decided to have me just sign the green cash receipt. The food was luke warm and honestly, it was the nastiest Chinese food we've EVER eaten. I don't mean just eaten in Troy, I mean... ever... anywhere... the absolute worst chinese food EVER. My general Tsos white meat chicken had almost no flavor or sauce and certainly no spiciness. I ate maybe 4 bites and had to stop. I'm actually feeling a bit nauteous right now. My partners hot & spicy chicken was neither hot or spicy. He did eat more than I did becasue he was super hungry... not because it was good. Very good American Chinese takeout restaurant. We actually live about 15 minutes away and have several other Chinese takeouts much closer to home but we order from here anyway due to how much better tasting the food is here. Nice people here, friendly and helpful. They can get quite busy so pickup is probably a better bet. I never have had a problem though. read more

This has long been my family's go to American Chinese restaurant. They're always reliable and have pretty friendly staff. I wouldn't recommend them as a sit down restaurant, though they do have some tables and what not. My usual is General Tso's w/ white rice but I've tried most things on the menu and have never been disappointed. read more

Recently moved to the area, and decided to finally try out some of the Chinese food. I placed an order on a Friday night for delivery, I was told it would take 30 minutes. An hour later, I decided to call to check on the order, I call and the phone just keeps ringing, no one picks up. I call continuously for 30 minutes with no response, no answering machine, nothing at all. At that point I decided to call another restaurant and make a take out order, I picked up the food and brought it home, when the delivery finally arrived at my door. I ended up refusing the order and eating the take out almost 2 hours later. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS PLACE. read more

do not order S11: 5 shrimp, 2 scallops cut in half and absolutely no lobster meat! When I called them back to complain, I was told only 1 piece of lobster meat the rest is phony crap fish meant to look like lobster. Did not say that on menu! This is our favorite place to order (no MSG) and it is very decent. It is very quick, usually about 15 minutes for pick up or 20 for delivery. All the basic Chinese take out foods are very good: sweet and sour chicken, wonton soup, dumplings, general tso chicken, lo mein. We especially like how they prepare their general tso tofu. The only thing I've ever had that I didn't care for is the pad thai, but my husband enjoyed it and ordered it again. read more
