Moved from 2nd fl to a 1st fl apartment in the same complex. The $89 and change an hour is a bait tactic. I asked for an itimized receipt, never received it. Your original information from the company disappears as soon as that truck departs. I mean the list of what you checked off for packing including the furniture, totes and boxes! Arrival at 9:15 am; finished at 2:30 pm. I don't know if they gave me credit for my $89 down payment but my total was $889!!!! I am still awaiting my itemized receipt!! I recently moved and booked with New Age Movers to support a small business. First, when you book a moving company with prices as high as these you expect a nice clean truck to show up. I was completely appalled at the truck that showed up and my movers not being in a specific uniform. I think the prices should be lowered for quality. Second, while I was nervous the truck would breakdown en route to the new house, I will say the two gentlemen that did the moving were great. Jajuan and (cant remember the other guy) both did a great job and you can tell they took the work seriously. They ensured everything was in place and put the pieces together that had to be taken apart for the move. With the high prices, please fix the truck up but keep the staff they are the only reason I would book again! read more

I called new age movers and got a quote that was too high compared to other offers, I had already given them my address and information and told them I felt their quote was too high and I would call them back if I changed my mind. I found a better quote and did not call new age movers back. The company I actually hired was not able to schedule us in the morning but told me they would email me if their schedule lightened up. I recieved a confirmation, and as I had only actually made an appointment and accepted the quote from one company, I didn't question it I was just happy that the company could accommodate the am time I preferred. The email did not ask for verification, it was just a notice. I then got a call at 730a the day of my move letting me know they were on the way. The movers were late, they broke my husband's grill, put a hole in the back of our dresser, and chipped our sideboard. They did not have my husband sign to confirm that there was no damage on the way to the new property. When they finished at the new property they asked me to sign for both the pick up and droppl off. The price was $150 over the quoted price. I paid it and have been trying reach a resolution for almost a month. They were unwilling to provide a refund and directed my husband to file claim, but neglected to provide their policy number. After multiple calls and emails they are now refusing to call back or respond in any manner. read more

If I could give them a zero rating I would! They moved some items from my house to my daughters on January 30, 2021. They lost an item of mine, a specialty item from my alma mater. They can't 'find' it. Most likely they dropped it and threw it away thinking I wouldn't notice. The move day was hectic and I didn't notice it for a day or so because it was a small item. I called they said they would file for insurance and refund my money. I have been calling at least weekly since, two weeks ago, they stopped taking my calls and won't return messages. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM FOR ANY REASON. Everyone makes mistakes, it's how you treat your customer when you do make one that matters most! I have left review on their facebook, filed a complaint with the BBB, and disputed the charge with VISA. Now, I am leaving reviews everywhere I can so people know what kind of firm they are dealing with. read more

Well was not a great experience altogether. The team of 3 movers reached on time. But from the starting one of the member was all grumpy and not courteous at all. Sold our house and had to be out on March 21, so hired these guys to come move our furniture to the new house. Guess what? They never showed up - AND didn't call us to explain or reschedule. Had to scurry around and find another company. Couldn't move til Tuesday. Fortunately, I found a great moving company who I will recommend to everyone! read more

Couldn't believe the disaster I experienced with this company. I was their only job booked on that day and was told they'd be here between 8-10a. They didn't show up until 11a because their truck was having issues. When they finally got there, the truck broke down. If they knew the truck was not operating properly they should have used a different truck. I didn't feel comfortable with the truck or the movers so I called and canceled and used a much better company. I'm trying to get my $80 deposit back but am currently being ghosted by them. It was our first time hiring movers and overall it was a good experience. My only complaint is that we asked for 2 movers and 3 came. So they ended up charging us more after confirming that we wanted a 2 person job. They were supposed to meet me at 3pm for my move. To their credit, they did call a little after 2pm to let me know they were running pretty late and wouldn't be able to get there until 6pm or 7pm, but would throw in an extra guy free of charge to help make everything go as quick as possible. We agreed that they would call me when they were on their way. Fine. Except that I didn't hear from them until after 8:30pm, which was way too late to try to do this. You can't exactly show up at an apartment complex at 9:30 or 10 on a Sunday night with a loud moving truck and start moving furniture in. Never mind the fact that I had to be at work the next morning and couldn't be doing this that late, that seemed like an awfully rude way to say hello to the new neighbors. Plus, call me old fashioned, but I'm not inclined to work with someone who can't be bothered to show up within six hours of the agreed upon time. So I guess I'm back to square one looking for a company that will show up on time so I can try this again next weekend. Good thing my lease wasn't up yesterday because if it was, I'd be screwed. PLEASE DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! Their rating has to be fabricated. Absolutely horrible experience!!! They didn't even show up on time and when they did they sent 2 young men with no truck and no dolly. I hope they at least compensated these young men for their wasted gas money and effort. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! They never followed up with what was happening and now I have to take off of work to figure things out myself. I wouldn't say this is the worse decision I've ever made, but it's in the top 3 of my whole life. Never had issues with any movers and I always tip. I'm spreading the word verbally and on all platforms. I don't like how they treated their employees and I definitely didn't appreciate the unprofessionalism of the company owners. My mom and I hired New Age Movers to move a large item, specifically stated a lift gate truck on separate occasions, as well as the weight being 6-800 lbs. Moving day comes they don't have a lift gate truck, and had remarks like "this ain't out first rodeo" and they only had 3 guys for a heavy $45,000 delicate machine. They were willing to risk injuries and possibly dropping a $45,000 machine when they only cover $10,000. We were told that we would get a call back in 30 minutes before sending them away, not once did we receive a call, but they ignored multiple calls when we didn't get what we were promised and voicemail that were left for a call back.No way would I refer this company to anyone for any reason, I would be referring to them as "Be sure to avoid New Age Movers". I only take time for companies that have amazed me or seriously wronged me. I hope all of you reading reviews seriously take this one into consideration read more

The owner and his team moved fast, were professional and were courteous the whole way through. This was my first time using movers and will not be my last. Fair rates and effortless move. We used New Age Movers during our move last week and they were awesome! Robert, Vince, and Jojo did such an excellent job. They were on time and so careful with all of our furniture, making sure to not damage any walls. They had to move our furniture down some flights of stairs and never complained once and put everything exactly where we wanted it. We are beyond happy with the service we received, especially for the price! They are upfront with the price and have no hidden fees at the end, which is not common with moving companies. Will definitely use them in future moves and I would highly recommend to anyone else! read more

We have gone thru 11 moves in the last 30 years some good some bad, but I can honestly state that New Age Movers is the BEST we have ever had. JoJo & Robert were unbelievable, these 2 pros moved 4 queen mattress and a 200 lb dresser from the 3nd floor to their truck in 45 mins. My wife and I were amazed. JoJo and Robert were also very courteous and nice.It was almost like we had been friends for years. One last thing to tell was that one of the queen mattresses had to go to our 3nd floor loft that only had a spiral staircase, as I was outside when JoJo and Robert took the mattress off the truck and went inside, I went to the garage to find my come along as I thought that would be the only way to get the mattress up. JoJo & Robert came out about 2 minutes later and I said do you need some help and they replied it was already done. I thought they were kidding and I went inside to see that they were correct, my 14 year old daughter told me Robert went to the loft and JoJo threw the mattress to him. We are all still talking about that. We gave them each a $60 tip and bought them In N Out for lunch and still feel like we go the better end of the deal.
