Cute place in McLean which always shocks me how few good spots they have for how much money is here. Food was excellent. Everything we tasted for a party of 6 for brunch. Also very fast. Service was mixed. A little formal and stilted for this kind of place. Refused to make any substitutions. Charged for any change. Wouldn't add onion to one guest's egg dish when onions were on the menu. Live jazz was nice, but made it a little loud and tough for conversation, especially if you have older guests.

News FLASH: The ambiance is perfect for a couple or group setting. The Chef truly knows his craft when it comes to cooking authentic New Orleans tasty dishes. Nolan, our server was a wonderful complement to a wonderful meal. What made our brunch EXTRA special was the live jazz music they play on Sundays!!! They were phenomenal today!! Superb!!! It gave us some good ole New Orleans vibes. We will return.

Family-style worked out well with my three friends. Two dishes from Seconds, two from Thirds, and one from Don't Think Twice were enough to make us satisfied. Our favorite was the Fish, aka a branzino. The potato puree underneath it was amazing. You just got to watch out for the small bones in the fish. We finished off with the Sea Salt Pavlova for dessert, which was fun to chisel at and was a great combination of flavors. The restaurant was busy around Saturday dinner time. I'm not sure if that slowed down some of our service or the speed of our food coming out. Reservations are recommended! Lovely and bright decor as well.

This restaurant has been only open since June and the food and service is on point like an established place. Great, friendly service from beginning to end. We started with the bread service and pimento cheese. The pimento cheese reminded me of being down south in Savannah, truly delicious. The pork chop was perfect. May have been the best pork chop I have had in many years. My wife enjoyed the crispy chicken and was impressed with the entree and would order it again. The restaurant was packed; however, the server made us feel right at home. If you are looking for great food in a casual atmosphere in McLean this is your place!

Came here on a Friday night and the place is very loud, even with their sound dampeners. The food was ok, but this place is expensive. The tuna was really good but everything else was ok.

We were eager to try this place since we're fans of Bayou Bakery, David's other restaurant, but unfortunately, this one didn't quite hit the mark. Like others reviewed, it looks like an Anthropologie store inside. Cute decor and ambiance. A bit too bright IMO. I'd say darken the resto a bit. Tuna Croquetas: The batter was nice, but the filling was too mushy--tuna and potatoes just turned into a bland, unappealing mix. It could use more substance inside and a side dipping sauce to enhance the flavor. Crawfish Pasta: The celery in the sauce was overwhelming and masked the overall flavor. The crawfish chunks were good, but the dish needed more seasoning. I asked for red pepper flakes, but they didn't have any, which was disappointing. Wood Oven Roasted Oysters: Quite enjoyable. The Parmesan butter was a nice touch, and the bread for dipping was delicious. Lemon Icebox Dessert: The flavors complemented each other nicely.

Had a very good experience at this McLean eatery. The town is in need of more upper scale eateries like NG, and the food, service, and ambiance didn't disappoint. We sat outside on a lovely evening so perhaps avoided the din that many speak of here. Our server, Alicia, was terrific and the bussers were attentive and friendly. The menu isn't too extensive but has something for everyone. We ordered a mix of things and split amongst us -- the fries (very good), a spinach and mushroom salad (excellent mix of shrooms), the pasta (interesting flavors) and bone-in pork chop (delicious). A nice mix of cocktails and ample selection of wines, too, which we enjoyed. A little on the pricey side of the spectrum but for this type of quality experience I'll gladly support this newcomer to a McLean restaurant scene in need of some class!

    Cute place with great food.

It has become the definitive home base for several of my local groups, and for good reason. The "No Agenda - Just Coffee" Crowd Since October 2025, this has been the quarterly meeting point for a group I help organize (2 entire meetings so far!). We bring together a mix of IT-centric CxOs, startup founders, innovators, govtech, thought leaders, and industry insiders. The beauty of the space is that it handles the "no structure, no rules" vibe perfectly. We show up, grab pastries, and just hang out. It's a low-key break from the grind, and the staff handles the morning rush with impressive efficiency. The Sunday Morning Tactical Post-Game Every Sunday at 6:30am, Northside serves as the rally point for our F3 The Capital workout group. We split up--ruckers head one way, runners another--and we all converge back at the shop by 7:30am. There is nothing quite like hitting the patio after a solid session for coffee, tea, and a high-quality breakfast. The Menu and My Personal "Hack" I've been significantly more health-conscious this year, so I generally keep the order lean. My go-to is a standard drip or an Americano with exactly one pump of vanilla. If you are looking for a meal, the avocado toast and poached egg sandwiches are objectively excellent. However, if you want the best thing on the menu, order the cheddar chive scone and ask them to heat it in the oven. It is a game-changer. The Vibe It has a genuine neighborhood feel. You'll see a broad spectrum of people--from tech folks on laptops to workout groups and families. It even transitions into a great bar scene in the evenings. It's consistent, high-quality, and remains my top recommendation in Falls Church.

Server Kelly M. took our order for a Caesar Salad, Margarita Pizza and a glass of red wine (light meal). A different person delivered the salad and pizza to us, and the food was good. However, we never saw Kelly from the time she took our order until we finished eating. She then showed up with an empty wine glass, said the wine order did not get put in, and asked if I still wanted it. I said "no" since we were done with our meal. At that time, I requested the Cheesecake w/cherries for my complimentary dessert, a small box for pizza, and the check. More than 20 minutes later, Kelly brought a box and the check, but no dessert. She then asked if I "had decided" on a dessert. I repeated that I would like Cheesecake with cherries. After nearly 30 minutes there was no sign of our waitress and no dessert. We were not happy at this point, left cash payment on the table, and walked out. We have eaten at Reston 60 Vines multiple times. No complaints about previous visits; food and service were very good. However, due to the long waits, inattention, and mistakes by our server on this visit, we were very disappointed. We felt management should be aware of this so they can correct the problem. I'm sure you expect better from your employees. We will have to think twice about dining on your patio this summer. Linda

Located just off the bustle of King St., Brut sits unassumingly among the Old Town townhomes. You could easily walk past, and not notice it at all. But, if you've dialed in Brut as your destination, be prepared to step in to an oenophile's wet dream. The establishment is both a bottle shop and a wine bar. Every bottle in the joint is carefully curated. There is no junk...no fluff...no quid to subsidize quo...all excellence, from any country or region your heart may desire. Do your Christmas shopping here, for sure. That shopping is going to make you thirsty, so pony up to the small but well appointed bar. Its no easy thing to find a bar with a good "wine by the glass" list, but Brut manages that task with ease. From your sauvignon blancs, through the pinots, to full bodied reds...take a flight of fancy, and walk home well fortified. Since the bar is small, and seats are at a premium, the owner Dustin does a masterful job of weeding out the Riff-raff. Trust me when I say that watching it is far better than TV. The line is always pretty short and you can get a drink within 5-10 min, the food takes longer and even up to 1/2 hour for fries. I would stick to the beer on draft, the cocktails can be hit/miss depending on the bartender, the draft drinks tend to have better consistency. The Wildberry Mule cocktail and Pina Colada Sangria and Peach Seltzer on draft were my picks while the Bourbon Smash, Passionfruit Mojito, Pina Colada Mojito, and the Passionfruit Seltzer were misses. On the flip side, the bartenders poured a generous amount of Prosecco for Mimosas, much appreciated! The bottled Angry Orchard apple cider is generally my go-to. There's always a mocktail on the menu (came in handy when I was pregnant!) The new battered fries are so much better than last year! The menu is limited with simple bar food (bbq pulled pork sandwich, burger, grilled cheese, hot dog, fries, kettle chips). Wish there were more vegetarian options like charcuterie board, hummus and crackers, nachos, mac and cheese, etc. While I give credit for having a Veggie Burger on the menu, it's sad and disappointing. It has a very smoky meaty flavor (from the grill, not the patty) with lackluster toppings - the vegan cheese is disgusting. I would swap out the kettle chips and pay the upcharge for fries. The doughy pretzel sticks are quite salty and a step up from the movie theater. They are good for absorbing the alcohol! Despite these minor complaints, I love coming here with family and fries.
