I hate to even posted about my experience with Stella the PA that used to worked here but everyone…read moreneeds to be aware of what happened. On April 3rd was my 1st time at the practice with the PA Stella. She never asked about my medical history of my migraines or asked me about the migraines, very quickly looked at my imaging (CT scan, MRI, & MRA) like she was scanning them, and very quick looked at my migraine journal. She never look at my intake form or my migraine questionnaire that was still in my hand until I went to signed out at the front desk- she never asked if it was done for her to looked at, never look at my intake form, never asked what meds I'm on & what meds I have been taking for my migraines. She didn't say anything information about the Botox - side effects, where the injection would be, no information at all (I found out how many unit it was though the patient portal). The only 3 things that was asked by the PA during that appointment was 1) what can I help with you? (which I kinda found that question to be a little rude to be asked). 2) when was your last bloodwork? & 3) where did you get bloodwork done? And she also asked if i need a refill on Quilpta that hasn't been working - i been on it since Dec 24 that wasn't worked. When I spoke to the Botox department at the providers office because of me getting a texted about my Botox approval and I found out that the PA I saw on 4/3 put them misinformation on my authorization for my health insurance to cover, which was light sensitivity and vomiting which vomiting does not ever happen with my migraines. Light sensitivity & noise sensitivity only happens when my migraines are worse. The PA never asked about my migraines episodes + the PA never over critical information (intake form, headache questionnaire). The Botox department sent an email to the office manager because that was a huge issue on the PA part. The Botox department is aware I'm holding off from doing the Botox for now. I have to decided to hold off on doing Botox due to huge issues going on that the office manger & my health insurance is involved and looking into what happen. I found out from both the authorization & the orders on my very minimal medical records that the injections will be every 12weeks and 200 units of it. On April 18, I found out though the specialist pharmacy that's been calling me about my Botox refilled prescription that gets sent to the provider office for my Botox. The pharmacy was shocked that the PA didn't discussed my medication and also put me in harm way because I'm on a muscle relaxer that I take daily 4x a day and if I did Botox (which I'm holding off). Both the muscle relaxer & Botox will cause muscle weakness- I'm really upset that Stella would do something like this because she didn't a full medical history, exam, etc. In June 25, my health insurance is still has Stella under investigation and no longer participating with them (health first) -------------------------------------------------- Forward to June 20, I saw Dr. Ahmed, who was very nice, she took a details history, did a detailed exam, and created a treatment plan for me. She said because my migraines aren't happening 15+ days a month that's Botox isn't a great treatment plan yet but might be in the future it might. We are trying different meds first and she told me to keep track on migraine buddy instead of hand writing for my migraine journal. She put me on Symbravo as a rescue med and took over my Nurtec prescription - which I don't mind her doing at all.

My appointment was for a yearly phsyical. I have several health issues due to various reasons. I figured I'd go in, turn my head and cough and that's that. But before I even speak of how well my experience was, I want to call out the nurse who had talked to me when I was in the room waiting. She was, personal, kind, understanding, and good listener. I hope she reads this, I'm so sorry I didn't catch your name. On to Ms Bianca, my nurse practioner. I don't know if I'll be able to properly verbalize how fantastic this woman is at her job. Normally when I head to the doctor, I wind up getting my regular asthma meds and then thats that really. That's not what happened today. I've had a series of injuries over the past few years and not only did she address the issues, she made it a point to take it a step further, I assume because she wouldn't want to miss something she should have caught when I was there. Very thorough in everything she did. I left with a handful of paperwork, that was all detailed and simple to read and know who I should be speaking to next. I also was given detailed pages of information for all ailmnets that were discussed. But besides how well she does her job, her bedside manner is 100% perfect without question. I'm currently in a situation where it will be some time before I can get back to the doctor regularly, and she made sure encourage me to come back (She doesn't have to ask me twice. Place is great.) no matter the circumstances. I felt like I was talking to someone I knew for much longer than an hour. She makes every effort to speak to you in a way that you'll understand, and feel comfortable with. In the end, most doctor's office are pretty garbage. This isn't one. Once again, I was seen by Ms Bianca NP (Not putting last name for privacy?). I'm sure all the doctors are great options but you cannot miss by going with Ms. Bianca. If you guys ever read this, thank you again and stay safe.

Got a $300 bill for a well visit that I only saw the PA, not even an MD and I have a good insurance plan. Since it was out of network my insurance didn't cover it. Sisselman Medical Group - Misleading flier for allergy testing when they are just primary care physicians

Apparently, same day availability applies only for existing patients when this is not stated on the fliers. When we arrived, we learned that they are only primary care physicians and don't do allergy testing or specialize in this. The worst part is they blamed a senior citizen with disabilities and other impairments for their miscommunication instead of rectifying their incorrect misinformation that they promoted and entered into their database. When a medical office can't even type a patient's contact info correctly, how can one trust them to maintain accurate medical records when lives may be at stake? This seems extreme, but it reflects a lack of attention to detail as evident from not even having a copy of their own marketing collateral to reference their own claims. My dad was looking to switch his primary care physician, but not after this unaccommodating experience. If the front office were trained to deal with seniors either more empathy or management of expectations, perhaps we would have given this place a try. Instead, three office managers and/or staff ganged up on us defending their perspective of telling us what they claimed that we didn't hear them say. My memory is still good enough to recall that had they stated they were a PCP, we likely wouldn't have proceeded because we would've realized this conflicted with their advertisements. The only saving grace is that the owner is responsive and tried to contact us for addressing the situation. However, this is too late when after patients leave unhappily and when the reply is again defensive by not seeming open-minded enough to consider alternative or neurodiverse perspectives from a patient-centric point of view. This is in part my our healthcare system is broken because solutions don't seem designed from the customer's perspective.
