This place appears to be closed down. We were very disappointed as we drove hours from Lubbock and were really looking forward to it.

The Yelp reviews looked okay and the Website was up to date but when we walked in the door after lunch, it was a different story. The place is located in an old Fire Department building, cavernous and loud due to the high ceiling and stone walls. No one in the dining area so the noise was coming from the bar area. A few specials on the board, mainly seafood, not unusual in this part of North Texas on a Friday due to the numerous catfish specials. It appeared clean but a deeper look showed baseboards dirty, the tables in the bar are made of roughhewn wood which means they cannot be cleaned very well as the food gets trapped in the crevices of the wood. Bathrooms were clean but there was no water, seems it froze during the night. I was surprised they were open without running water but found out later it was just the bathrooms, there were sinks working in the bar. The food was okay; I had the Chicken Fried Steak and my Wife had the Classic Cheeseburger. The CFS was okay with it's thin breading that was slightly crispy. The steak has some flavor which I liked. I chose the fries over mash potatoes, and they were very good. It also came with thin green beans which tasted okay but appeared to be microwaved. The burger was made from short rib grind which leave sit with a very unusual texture. It was very firm, little fat, and extremely salty. Flavor wise under the salt taste was good, just off-putting texture for a burger. My Wife could not finish due to level of salt. Service was good, kitchen was slow with only three tables and we were the only one eating anything more than apps. Minus one star for the cleanliness and lack of water to wash your hands, and minus one for excess salt and poor texture of the burger. We will skip this place next time. read more

First, I met Niri so plus one for the owner or at least namesake at the restaurant on a week day lunch service. Drove to Jacksboro just to have lunch. We were really hungry and excited to try this place. Maybe that's our fault that it didn't live up to our expectations. :/ Service was slow but that's not so bad we weren't in a hurry. Food was just really uninspired not particularly flavorful or interesting. We ordered brisket Mac and a brisket quesadillas. Mac was topped with some pretty good brisket. The Mac was real saucy and not really cheesy. The quesadillas seemed warmed up and not grilled. Kinda odd but they were ok, it's tortilla, meat and cheese. read more

Our group visited Neri's for a Saturday afternoon lunch. The wait staff were great and everyone enjoyed their food. I got the appetizer nachos as a meal and split them with my sister-it was a lot of food and really good. But, the signature cocktails...The inferno margarita was delicious and refreshing with just the right amount of kick. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other cocktails. read more

What a delightful meal! Anna was an above average server...friendly and attentive. The quesadillas, shrimp salad, Cajun pasta and chicken salad were all delicious. The menu variety was exceptional...something for everyone. While we didn't take advantage of the bar, I loved the atmosphere,decor and bar area. Traveling to Dallas from New Mexico and we decided to stop in Neri's for lunch, boy am I glad we did!! Excellent taco specials on Tuesday. The vibe in Neri's was so relaxed & chill, and our service was EXCELLENT!! Thanks Austina!! My boyfriend and I shared the spinach artichoke dip and I ordered the brisket tacos. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! Also, If you're a beer drinker I would definitely advise you to order something on tap!! It's the coldest beer I've ever had! And trust me, I've had lots of beers!! Best salads around, seriously!! This place is sometimes closed when it shouldn't be, so all ahead. But the salads are very worth it!!

I was in town visiting a friend and we went to Neri's for dinner. Our service was great, the food was pretty good. The Blue Cheese dressing needs an overhaul because it tasted like Garlic Powder? Just a recommendation to work on the recipe. There's a full service bar which is nice. All in all a decent place. I would like to see in the future, since it's an old fire station and city hall, maybe some great memorabilia, like huge black and white photos of the past, fire hoses, uniforms and such to add some interest to the bare walls. The TV's are nice to watch a game with a group of people. This place has potential, I'd like to see it succeed. read more

We decided to stop at Neri's and was so glad we did. It was just before lunchtime and our wait was immediately taking our drink order. My wife had a Texas sweet tea and I had a draft Coors Light. My draft beer was cold, fresh and perfect head on top. We were both craving a juicy old fashioned burger. My wife ordered the blue cheese burger and I had the classic bacon cheeseburger. Both our burgers were juicy and the beef tasted fantastic! Neri's burgers had just the right amount of soft tasted buns with all the additional fixings. The steak fries were cooked to golden crispyness. Also the chipotle-mayo was awesome. If you're in Jacksboro or nearby and want to great burger. Neri's will not disappoint you! read more

The food was worth the visit. We had the dirty nachos and a Cali chicken club wrap. The nachos have brisket, sour cream, queso, pico and guacamole. Huge serving! Chips got really soggy though due to the queso and brisket mix. The club sandwich was really good! Service...slow. Waited on drink refills several times. Good place for lunch. read more

Food Was mediocre. I told the waitress that the prime rib was tuff. she didnt respond.No offer to do anything. I substituted broccoli for the baked potato. But they didn't bring it. had to ask and finally came. But noticed they charged extra for substituting. And you really need to like underdone green beans. NO bread was offered with the high priced entrees. This was lunch and the prices were shocking $55 + for the prime rib and $36 for the shrimp dish. Plus $3.80 for tea. The first table on the right where we were, was wobbly and we had to hold it to keep it from swiveling. No offer to fix it. At these prices you would expect linens. but only rolled thin paper napkins. When we asked for more than the one thin one we had they brought a better paper one. curious why they didn't use those to roll originally. Not especially pleasing atmosphere. We just moved to Jacksboro and this was the first eating out experience we've had. The bartender was so rude... I've worked as a bartender in a busy college town so for a non busy bartender to give me attitude and make rude comments directed to my order really upset me, like I could've cried. Also the burger was disgusting, tasted like old meat, and the bun seems stale. Our server was polite and the chipotle wrap and sweet potato fries were great. Our waitress wore her mask around her chin the entire time and another waiter who served us wore his mask hanging on his ear while serving our food and drinks., Will not return. Ever. Very good quality restaurant with value prices and good selection located in an old fire hall building right on the square in the town. Good salad and mains selection with very nice and polite staff. Worth a stop for fresh food in the area. read more

After trying the local burger place and striking out, we hit Neri's on the Square. We really enjoyed the experience! Absolutely STAND OUT was the service. Our waitress had celiac, so we super helpful in helping us navigate the menu with our multiple food allergies. The fried chicken sandwich on texas toast was MASSIVE and delicious! The burgers were just OK, but the kitchen made us special fries without batter and we were so grateful! The tacos were fantastic. Mad and done - waste your time and money at you're leisure. As a rancher you have other options in Bowie and Decatur. I make the 30minute drive to JB and won't again. Same waitress. Same mistake. Same horrible mess-up, same failure three times in a row in 2 weeks. How hard is it to hold the beans, melt the cheese in and on the enchiladas, or even do both consistently. Loved this place! We stumbled on it quite accidentally, what a happy surprise! Food was wonderful. It was ready in record time! I had the brisket tacos; so tender & so packed with meat! My husband had Bacon double cheeseburger & he loved it! Our waiter, Stormy, was amazing, friendly & considerate. We will definitely be going back! (Only 4 stars because while awesome, there is always room for improvement even though I'd be hard pressed to come up with something based on our experience tonight! We were there for taco Tuesday so I had pork with pineapple salsa. Tasted good but would have liked the corn tortillas grilled. Hubby had brisket tacos. Same cold tortillas and he liked mine better. Neat little place on the square but beware, the food is subpar. I ordered the brisket nachos and they were cold. My wife ordered the chicken fried steak sandwich and the breading was falling off because the meat was bad. The meat had an off smell to it. When it was brought to the attention of the manager, she said "that is the way it smells". She did give us 10 percent off the ticket, but we are going to have to leave and go eat supper somewhere else. The meal took 50 minutes to come out as well. My opinion is that you should drive on. read more

Such a neat place to have in a town like Jacksboro. Pretty nice beer and and liquor selection. The chips and salsa were very good. I had the surf and turf; the sirloin was just ok, clean cut but could have used more seasoning. The shrimp was spectacular, couldn't have asked for more. Nonetheless, this place is a hidden gem. I became a fan of Neri's after trying their food in a neighboring town, Graham. Their food was exceptional! I had a Caesar chicken salad with jalapeño potato soup, the chicken was perfect not dry and the soup was delicious and spicy! They serve it piping hot! So when I head we were getting a Neri's in Jacksboro I was ecstatic! It finally opened a couple weeks ago and as much as I didn't want to wait a bit longer I did so the opening rush would pass. Today I got my first taste of Neri's from Jacksboro and I wasn't disappointed. I got a cheeseburger and their soup and as random as those are together they were amazing. I asked my burger to be cooked medium rare and they nailed it. Savory and juicy. I forgot to ask for no tomatoes but I didn't notice till I took a bite and it was actually so good, I left them on! They were cut too thick to where it was just a juicy mess it was the perfect amount! Also the bun was not a typical hamburger bun it was kind of like a roll, but still good. And the soup was piping hot and delicious! Next time I'll be sure to eat in and grab dessert as well! Highly recommend them! read more

Stopped here for lunch, it is an attractively remodeled building on the square. There was a lunch menu in addition to the regular menu. There is a wide selection of choices including prime rib on Friday and Saturday night. There is a bar, with a good selection of wine and beer in addition to cocktails. First visit to the Jacksboro location, nice restaurant in a historical building. We had Shrimp Tacos, cup of Chicken Noodle Soup and a Hamburger with Steak Fries, the tacos were very good, the soup needed seasoning, burger was okay with one problem, enough mustard for three burgers and the fries were frozen. They have a killer Spicy Bloody Mary. Service was good by friendly people. I am sure this all will improve with time, since they have just opened this location.
