This review is for Torrid, as a whole, not for any one store. The prices in store are significantly…read morehigher than online for the same exact items. Customer support will not price adjust for in-store purchases, because they "don't have access to in-store purchase data". Are you sure? That doesn't seem to create a positive customer experience. What cost me $186 in store today could easily cost me $76 less online. Adding insult to injury, I went in-store to avoid the piecemeal shipping experience Torrid offers for online purchases. Yes, I sure could return my purchase to the store, and buy everything online, but I don't have the time or patience to wait for one shirt to show up and two pairs of pants to follow. That aside, I will say that the ladies running the show at the Tamarack Village shop were phenomenal today. I'm not upset with them. Again, I'm upset with this ridiculous bamboozling of pricing at Torrid, not the people trying to earn their paycheck. Lesson learned, and to others, I pass on my unsolicited advice of buyer beware.

No one greeted me as I came in, no one checked in to see what I was shopping for or see if I needed assistance. I was not even offered a changing room. At least 2 employees acknowledged me, however they did not speak to me. I typically have the best customer service experiences in a Torrid - I was shopping for a Lizzo concert outfit! It was supposed to be fun and exciting! I'm just plain bummed out I have yet to get a response after contacting Torrid in the way that was suggested. This was months ago and I'm quite disappointed.

Or better yet, get some employees with some basic common sense. I was not greeted- Which isn't surprising since they obviously could not see me my entire visit. There were at least two employees -maybe three. I found what I was looking for, I found my own dressing room, I went to the cashier to purchase 2 things - she was doing something, folding clothes maybe and looking in a book (?) not cashiering. She said nothing & moved away from me to the other side of the counter - I thought "oh- she needs to log into a till/cash-register". She did something to the register then- still ignoring me went back to the other side and resumed whatever she was originally working on. Another employee walked behind the counter and the first employee says to her- "You need to help her" to which the 2nd employee ignored, and she began a return for customer that walked up after me. What is going on at this store? I left and went to Express next- great customer service, went to the Buckle - Outstanding customer service- Went to Wal-Mart and the lady who worked AT WAL-MART who didn't speak English confidently was MUCH kinder and MUCH more helpful. @LOFT I am telling you your customer service at the Woodbury MN Store is behind WAL-MART (by a lot!)

Loft Woodbury Lakes, Woodbury, MN…read more Dropped into Loft today to make a return of an online purchase. Went to desk first to let them know I had a return but was going to shop first. At the time I was shopping there was one other customer in the store and she was getting help with something from one of the 2 employees there. Very disappointed that neither employee offered to put the pile of clothing I had in my arms in a room so I could continue shopping. So I didn't continue, but let them know I was headed into the dressing room. I dropped some of the pile of clothing I was carrying on the floor and one of the employees standing a few feet from me did not offer to help me even then, she actually laughed. As I was in the dressing room I needed to try other sizes, but no help from the employees who were helping no one! They were putting clothing on the sale rack and at one point were in the dressing room talking. No offer to help or to check on my progress as is customary. I did buy a few items and made my return. The employee who checked me out was completely devoid of any display of personality, friendliness or helpfulness. Don't go in here! Shop online. Loft managers: Get these employees some remedial instruction on basic customer service! Or better yet, get some employees with some basic common sense.
