We stopped on our way to Kanab. I had the chicken strips($11.07)and they were wonderful, the breading on them was different. We all tried the shakes($5.67)and they didn't disappoint. Plenty of tables to sit and wait for your food. The time to get our food wasn't bad considering we hit at the lunch rush. Son had the bison burger and wasn't impressed, especially for the price($18.49). read more

The best places are those you least expect. I needed something to hold me over for a long day of driving the windy, mountain roads towards Moab. Nemos popping up on my maps fit the bill and a great burger and onion rings awaited. I've seen this thing called fry sauce before but dipping onions rings in it caused a whole other reaction. Worth it and would be a groovy place during the summer! read more

Old school burger joint that does not disappoint. We were dying from hunger when we came upon nemos on our way to Bryce Canyon. Perfect burgers. I preferred the English chips to the onion rings but both were tasty. Vanilla malt should be mandatory with all purchases. One of my favorite meals of the trip because of how random it is to drive into an old town and find a gem like this one. read more

Great ice cream treats! Everyone one loved the ice cream and we got burgers. The fries we're perfectly seasoned. Outside picnic tables in the shade. If you have a dog -- you can get a free frozen treat for them. A huge scoop of ice cream With som bacon. My dog was in heaven. Go support them all! read more

Great burgers shakes fries- family friendly or great stop on a motorcycle ride. Service is just right to sit and visit. Don't be in a hurry- enjoy the food and the views and the company. read more

It was a really quick stop after dinner to get some ice cream at Nemo's. We were so excited to get ice cream as we were on the road and so many people raved about how good it is. We got a cookies and cream "shake." It's not a shake, it was like a Dairy Queen blizzard. We needed to eat it with spoons, which was fine. Nothing wrong with that. It just should have had added cookies if that was the case. It didn't even come with a lid or straws. The cookies and cream itself didn't taste that good. It tasted like a shake was made previously that was fruity and the cup was quickly rinsed and not actually cleaned. That made it hard for me to enjoy the actual cookies and cream I was hoping for. read more

Nice little place with great burgers, fries, and shakes! I recommend the cheeseburger with fries. Seating is outside but in the shade. There is a drive through, but still expect a moderate wait time for food. read more

Finding food in Escalante outside of the tourist season can be a challenge. This was one of two places that was open when we arrived in the evening. The bison burgers were delicious and my wife enjoyed the shake. Great place to stop for some post hike food if you're in the area. read more

Classic burger joint. Great Buffalo burger. Great sweet potato fries. Shakes were awesome. Just what you would want from this sort of place. read more

We stopped here after hiking Lower Calf Creek Falls. We were HOT and craving milkshakes. They had lots of shady tables for eating and a drive thru and order inside option. The order inside is a small area but air conditioned which is nice. They were out of some flavors of ice cream like chocolate so that was disappointing. The prices were right though for the cones and shakes and they were refreshing and delicious. Our son had the grasshopper in a waffle cone and loved it. I only gave four stars because of the lack of flavor choice and because we didn't order any food so I can't really comment. The teenager did eat here after a Lake Powell scout adventure and was very excited to come back. I'm also intrigued because there was a for sale sign inside too so I'm not sure what will happen. This is a handy, cute place, the staff are very friendly and if we are in the area again we will plan it to try their food too! read more

Stopped here for some ice cream and hamburgers. Delicious. The hamburgers were amazing and thick. Toppings fresh and service was equally as good. Highly recommend read more

We didn't have shakes so our 5 stars are just about the burgers. We had the regular ones and were completely satisfied. The patty was cooked just right and the fixings were fresh and crunchy...a classic burger. The fries were good and plentiful and came with a thousand island sauce...interesting alternative to ketchup (which is available). read more

Prices are OK and the food was good. They are slow but better than regular fast food joints. They ran out of food the night we were there including ice cream. read more

This is the best restaurant I have ate in at Escalante. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken was perfect, it was flavorful and juicy. The fries were amazing as well with the perfect amount of salt and a crispy exterior with a soft interior. The value is amazing too, I had a shake which gave me more ice cream then I could eat. Overall, the food as well as the story behind the restaurant made the restaurant one of my favorites. read more

Nice outdoor seating. Too much salt on fries and onion rings. Burger, chicken sandwich and veggie burger are too dry.

We made a quick stop by this place while driving on highway 12 from Capitol Reef to Bryce National Park. Best thing about this place is that it is open 7 days a week, so we were able to find food even on a cold winter weekday afternoon in the middle of nowhere. There is a drive thru section and also an order window with indoor waiting seat. The dining area, however, is outdoor only. Food was decent and came in generous portion. We ordered fried chicken steak sandwich. It was made fresh to order. Fries were hot and came with a fry sauce. The cookie n cream malt shake was unexpectedly good! Overall, good place to stop by for a quick and easy meal along with your road trip. read more

In a town with not too many culinary offerings, I can see how Nemo's is a solid selection. Per the Yelp reviews, and where it's located (right on the main road)- I do wonder if the majority of Nemo's business comes from tourists. FOOD +Meh... Nemo's is fast food, without a drive through and the "fast". +Burgers: somewhat flavorless, but not overly greasy. However, if you are an In-N-Out Burger or Five Guys afficiando, LOWER your expectations. +Burgers are served with fries, but English Chips or Sweet Potato fries can be subbed for $1.50. English Chips can be described as fried potato cubes/nuggets. I love a fried potato... however, a little seasoning could have enhanced the bland. You'll find yourself reaching for the ketchup/mayo sauce served with the meal. +Cost: Slightly higher pricing than typical "fast food". Nemo's appears to have simplified their menu. Pizza and calzone options aren't available anymore. (Recent menu posted in pics.) Instead, ice cream: cones, shakes, soft-serve, etc have been added. read more

I was not expecting too much from a spot in this small town but I got the College Burger and it was absolutely delicious, as were the fries. I was very happy with my lunch choice and would definitely stop if on the way through again. read more

We were looking for a small burger place on our way home from a road trip. Stumbled upon Nemo's and we aren't mad about it! Burger was great, shake was delicious! read more

Cool place and ambience in what seems like a hip little town. The food was delicious and generous portion sizes meant to either share or have after a good hike. We ordered cheeseburger and regular fries, the adventure burger and sweet potato fries and the mushroom Swiss burger with onion rings. We all shared everything and no one was disappointed with any of the choices. Everything was prepared perfectly and was exactly as described. After dinner the kids got ice cream to share - the cherry chocolate chip (soooo good) and a chocolate vanilla swirl soft serve. Our only minor complaint was that the service was "meh" .... If the service had been great this would be a five star place all the way! read more

Stopped on our way to Bryce. We ordered #3 and #5, the food is surprisingly good! Except a little bit too much salt on the fries. The onion ring is good too! The business hour on yelp is not correct. As of today, they are open 11-8. read more

Excellent job on the burgers. Way better than expected. The #8 with bacon was phenomenal. The bacon was super smokey and paired well with my Zinfandel. We also had the Jalapeno burger. What a great flavor. The sweet potato fries and onion rings were top notch as well. read more

Stopped in after taking scenic route 12 from Bryce Canyon. Um...I am guessing friendly service is not on the menu? The gal who took our order was less than pleasant if not straight up annoyed to be there. We ordered one vanilla and one coffee milkshake. Coffee shake was off, tasted like a bad coffee syrup so tossed it. Shared my husbands vanilla shake which was pretty tasty. Will not be back though. Maybe teach your employees to at least act like they give a darn. read more

We ended up going 3 times. Once for dinner for our kids while we went to a nicer restaurant, once for ice cream after a hike, and again for dinner for the whole family. Great small town burger joint. Just what you'd expect and hits the spot after a day of hiking in the sun. By the way, it's for sale if you want to own a small business in a small town in a beautiful area of the country. read more

Do not get the Shakes or Malts here. My malt was just 2 scoops of ice cream rolled in malt powder and shoved in a cup. It was served with a spoon instead of a straw because it couldn't be drank. Also the service was very awkward didnt say anything other than the bare minimum for all interactions. read more

Today I was craving Fried Fish after a morning hike and came to Nemo's for lunch. While the fries were good, the fish was warm on the outside and ice cold on the inside. Tells me that it was frozen fish that was just shoved in a microwave for lunch. It also tasted stale. Very disappointed with this restaurant. Be wary of these high ratings on Google as the standards are pretty low in such small places due to paucity of restaurants to eat at. read more

For once, found this place without Yelp (as I was without service in the area - boo!) and am surprised that it has the ratings that it does. Was driving around the area and discovered that I was famished. It was getting close to dusk, and it seemed like all other places in Escalante were closed except Nemos. Disclaimer: I'm basing my review solely on the chicken and rice burrito that I ordered, so it may not necessarily be representative of this establishment as a whole. Firstly, I was greeted by a not-so-friendly cashier who begrudgingly took my order. I was the only one there, and it looked like it had been that way for a while. Right after me, a lady came and ordered 2 large milkshakes and some other food, which miraculously came out before my one burrito. When it DID come out, I found out, to my dismay, that it was TINY and DEEP FRIED. The inside was filled with indiscernible mush, although I'm not sure what else I expected. Next to the burrito was some wilted, sad lettuce. Giving 3 stars because it was just all-right in a pinch, but would look for something else if I'm ever in the area again. read more

So stoked to find a quaint place that serves well made comfort food in a sleepy mountain town during winter! We were around Escalante hiking Grand Staircase and after 8 miles of sand strugglin' it was awesome to see this place with its blinking string of lights beckoning us over. We got two burgers and had nothing to complain about. Service was quick and friendly and is guaranteed to please if you're in the area and famished after a day of trudging through dunes. Bonus: weekends + Mondays they do Mexican food, W-F they do Chinese! read more

I came here a year ago while visiting Bryce and capitol reef...I came back this year and was excited to stop here again. Basic burgers but I think done well.
