And then, to our disbelief, we learned he wasn't just any order taker... he was the manager. Right from the start, his behavior was a live performance of absurd incompetence and insecurity. After repeatedly bungling our order, he had the gall to instruct us to cancel the transaction on the payment pad. The farce didn't stop there. What's even more outrageous is that when we asked him to correct the error--he had mistakenly keyed in the wrong kind of sandwich--he not only refused to fix it but also refused to say his own name. Instead, he goaded us to call Corporate Wendy's. (We later discovered from another review that this same individual had treated a customer's grandmother with aggressive, demeaning behavior.) It's a tragedy mixed with humor--a rogue manager using his franchise as a shield to dodge responsibility, while the local business owner watches helplessly as quality and decency cool off like room-temperature burgers. As for the food, the sandwiches were so poorly assembled that one members of our party claimed the menu must be a false advertisement. Every bite of the meal was a reminder of the chaotic incompetence that defined this visit. In short, this Wendy's is a theater of mismanagement and mishaps where you're not a customer--you're an unwilling participant in a calamity. If you value decent service and a properly made sandwich (or simply want to avoid a public display of absurdity), steer well clear of this establishment. Was really pleased that this Wendy's produced a salad with the chicken nice and warm, the fries were crispy, hot and salted well, and the Dr. Pepper was crisp and full of syrup flavor. The hot fresh fries were neither hot nor fresh. There are at least four staff members behind the counter and the dining room is a mess. I had to repeat my order twice because they could not hear me over the loud, foul language rap music playing in the back. As I ate my meal, one of the employees came to the front and asked the person I assume was the manager "Did you see my major F**k up?" Absolutely terrible. We came tonight starving hoping for something fast so we could check into our condo to sleep. They were super fast but forgot a full meal. When we started eating as soon as we got the bag, you could tell the chicken was sitting out for a long time, it smelt like stinky feet. Their fries were also nasty. I saw all the bad reviews, but I realized stopping here that you have to account for how hard it is to get good help with the pandemic and it being a small town. DO NOT GO HERE. On June 23rd at 1 pm, we decided to stop at the Wendy's in Kanab. I've never been more disgusted and disappointed with any fast food chain ever, and I'm no Karen. I love Wendy's and can normally let things slide. By the time my family of 5 got our food and realized how disgusting and unsanitary the employees, the restaurant, and the bathrooms were, i didn't touch my food, and much of it went to waste. You'd think they would do something extra with COVID 19, but not a single employee wore a mask, which initially didn't bother me until I paid closer attention. Of everyone openly making our food in the back, only two of the employees had gloves on, and one of them was only wearing one tattered and torn glove with holes in it. If they are going to be disgusting at least keep it hidden from the public. The manager and front cashier were rude and disgusting, displaying a serious lack of personal hygiene, and one of the employees looked like he hadn't washed his hair in months, which only became a bigger problem when he was constantly touching his hair. The place was so gross I couldn't touch my food, and I'm not one to be grossed out. After my experience at this Wendy's, I seriously debated calling the health department. Service was horrendous, the employees were absolutely disgusting and dirty, not to mention extremely rude, and I will never go back to this location ever again. This place deserves to be shut down because in my personal opinion it's a health risk. read more

This location is really flaky. They always close off the drive-through half hour or more before the official times. Today, they were supposed to close at 10 PM (per Google and Yelp) and I went over at 9:35 PM and the drive-through was closed (with the lights on the outdoor menu board turned off). Last week too, I went around 9:25 pm and again they were closed - a full 35 minutes before they are supposed to. If they want to close earlier, then that is cool - but change your official times then. Figured it could easily be another 20 minutes until we ordered, and who knows how long it would take for food to come out. Line was reaching out the door, and they only had one cashier, easily the slowest Wendy's I've ever been to. What a frustrating waste of time. Not to mention, the place was absolutely full of flies. THIS LOCATION DOESN'T TAKE BASIC COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS. When I drove up to the take out window, there was no sneeze guard and the women at the register was not wearing a mask or gloves. I looked in and saw that NO ONE on the team was wearing either a mask or gloves, including those handling food. Nor was hand-sanitizer anywhere in sight. When I asked the cashier why she wasn't taking the basic precaution of wearing a mask, she responded that she "can't wear a mask for medical reasons." When I asked to speak to the manager, she was unconcerned with the lack of precautions and chalked it up to difference of opinion, even though every other fast food restaurant is taking these basic precautions. When asked what precautions they were taking, she said that they were "keeping things clean". When asked why she wasn't wearing a mask, she also said that she had medical condition preventing her.
