Went to Honest Toms in Sterling, VA after a check engine light and misfires. They ended up…read morereplacing my fuel injectors ($3000). They have to remove all the intake components to get to the rear bank because it's a transverse engine, so I get there's going to be extra man hours involved. The problem is that the work of putting it back together definitely seemed rushed once I got in and starting looking around. The upper intake manifold has a bolt on the back to keep it stable. That was missing. The foam cover of the high pressure fuel pump that sits on top of the valve cover was missing, and the main underbody splash guard cover was missing. I guess it was too much effort to the put those back. The upper intake manifold bolts had 2 that were heavily stretched and deformed and these are not Torque to Yield bolts. And one was cross threaded. I had to use a thread chaser to fix that one and replaced the others. This all really makes me wonder what else they didn't do or didn't bother trying to do. I'm looking it over really well now to make sure they didn't leave off anything important. They acted like they were doing me a huge favor knocking 50 bucks off the price but honestly I would have rather had them charge $5 more to replace the bad and/or lost bolts.

I called on my way over to make sure they were open, and the tech who answered the phone assured me I could come right in and got me registered as I headed their way. It took just under an hour for the team to evaluate my tire, spot the screw that was causing the leak, patch it, and fill it back up. I was able to work from a well-appointed waiting area with plenty of seating, Wi-Fi, outlets, snacks and coffee. I would definitely recommend this shop for their efficient operations, welcoming team, friendly atmosphere, and a job well done.

Dealer wanted close to $5,000 for replacement. Morshed charged me only $2,800 and said it will be even cheaper if I did not insist him to get only the Mercedes OEM brake pads and rotors. Awesome job! It feels like a new car. Dealer gave me a list of another $2,000 worth of recommended stuff. He said I only needed the brake fluid flush only. What an honest guy! He put the best battery in my BMW and it is running like new! Dealer wanted double. I have relatives who own BMW and Mercedes and they routinely come here. They are also very very happy!

I was able to order it and have it shipped overnight to the shop, and it arrived shortly after 10 AM. They installed it and did a little custom work, and I picked it up early that afternoon. They did excellent work, and my truck looks and sounds great. It's a good, honest shop, and they charged me a very fair price for the work they did. I had a very tight schedule, and was surprised how quickly they were able to fit me in and get the work done. My friend who runs a high school auto shop program highly recommended Whitey's Automotive, and he was spot on. I highly recommend it.

The mechanic told me he would have to fail me unless I had the STOCK headlights replaced because they lacked a VDOT symbol on the cover. This was a LIE. They cannot fail a vehicle for STOCK equipment that is functioning properly. I told him this and he insisted that "they are cracking down." He said this three times when I challenged him. I then went to Hogan and Sons in South Riding, VA., where I live, and it passed. I then ask the attendant and manager there if they had ever heard of such a thing, and they said that he had not.
