I bought an item listed as "new and fictional" and when I picked it up I received "used and broken" $50 in the trash

They never check the items. I ordered a TWIN size bed frame, it stated twin in the description. We have small rooms so it was important it was a twin for my toddler and when we assembled it was a full and took up half the bedroom. Also ordered an industrial fan that was stated to be not damaged and working condition, it was dented and would not turn on. I had ordered a rolling organizer and stated it had no missing parts, it was missing 4 of the side rails. Nellis has changed for the worse over the past two years, was once an organizantion focused on customer satisfaction and excellence, I was so very impressed in the past many years dealing with Nellis. However, the company does not respond, All "A-I". I alerted Nellis that I would not be able to pick up an order and needed the date advance one week, I paid for the order as well. Nellis could not get this straight, they totally fucked up the items I won, cancelled the items, sent a "HIGHLIGHTED STUPID MESSAGE" as to the cancellellation by the BRAIN DEAD STAFF. Nellis responded with an appology but NO SOLUTION. Attempting to pick up both items on both invoices and NOTHING ON MY ACCOUNT. Purchased a comforter set 11.19.2024, that the website had the description listed that it was a Queen and finally unpacked it and it a TWIN. Apparently, someone did not know what they were doing, because this is a twin comforter set with 1 sham, 1 pillowcase and not 2 of each. Unfortunately, this has happened one time too many for me, so I have stopped shopping with Nellis Auction in Mesa (Ray Road) because there's too many mistakes and by the time I unpack the stuff when Im ready to use it it's too late to return it. I buy off Mesa Nellis all the time and have minimal problems. I find some great items at amazing prices. Not really sure why people are complaining. Their goal is to get rid of the shit returned to Amazon. They hire high school/college kids, so of course they don't care if they mark stuff right. You take part in Nellis if you understand there is a chance that what you get isn't exactly what's labeled or condition is poorer than expected. Customer service is fair in person, online it's terrible. Never had a problem returning items if done in the return window. People that are late just want to bend the rules. Go on time if you want your return accepted, it's that easy! My big complaint is the parking/pick up situation is kind of a hassle especially if they're busy. They have these kids pointing and parking people as employees are coming out of the warehouse. It's confusing and hectic. They def didn't think this though when they built the pick up space out. Was bidding on an item that only had 2 bids, bid #2 started bid at $3, bid #1 $4 me $5 all of a sudden bid #1 appeared to have bid $6 but previous bid of $4 disappeared I put in a bid for $7 and again bid #1 bid $8 and previous #1 bid of $7 disappeared. Bough a Melissa and Doug star diner play kitchen, it was not labeled damaged. This is a very far drive from me, when I got it home the kids seat was broken clean in half, it was unusable. I contacted Melissa and Doug to see if I could purchase the seat panel, they don't do that, so this was just a waste of my time and now I have to drive a million miles back to return it. The box was duct taped closed, it would appear they just keep reselling it to people and we keep returning it. It NEEDS to be marked "massive damage". I'll be adding a note to the box in the hopes that they'll stop selling this to people without a proper warning. Also, the candle warmer got was shattered, some of the glass storage containers were shattered too; which were also not labeled damaged. Bunch of teenagers who don't care. They are not welcoming, leave you to load in all your stuff if it's bulk even though they mention that you simply sit in your car and get it all loaded in. Recently items are not described as it's supposed to be it is always either missing parts, not functional or not even the correct item. Seems they are getting lazy and only hiring teenagers that don't care. A lot of great deals you can get even if half the stuff you can't use and have to return back. However, the return policy is so good. It's not really that big of a deal with the good savings. My only real complaint is used to be able to call customer service and get your issues resolved in minutes. I've been a Nellis buyer for about 6 months. I have spent many, many $100's of dollars over these last months. Over the last 24 hours Nellis has changed the auction starting prices from the usual $1. Reviewing the items I added to my watchlist this morning, the items are now starting from $3 - $5. Not only have a majority of the purchased items turned out to be crap or spoiled, they're now raising the starting bids price! The online photos really stink lately. They'll show an Amazon pic & say possibly missing items but don't show the inside of the boxes. I never truly know what I'm getting. And most times they don't list a size. I have 2 crappy items to return. Going forward they've now lost a reliable customer. Bad descriptions & now a greedy increase? I have been shopping Nellis Auction for almost 2 years. But in the last 6-7 Months they have really gone down hill. Averaging a couple returns each weekend when I pick up because items are broken or the wrong item brought out of the warehouse. And I learned to return right there if possible by carefully inspecting each item before driving off. Open every box if taped shut. Sometimes it is something you did not win. Like t shirts instead of a stereo. I even had won and paid for online 22 items, paid over $300 dollars and went to pick up and they could not find any of all those items. All 22 were missing. Then you have to wait over a week to get a refund. Support is via email. And if you get a response , and I mean if, it can be days. In the 2 years been shopping with them spent thousands of dollars, but now when you go there it is hit or miss the items are what you paid for or they can find your items even though they were suppose to be in one large bundle for pick up. read more

**Be aware there are two listings on Yelp for the same business on 40th Avenue - read both of them** ONE: I bought a console table marked "no missing parts" and "no damage." It was missing a leg and the other leg was bent into a trapezoid shape. How on earth does the person inspecting the merch miss that? INSPECT EVERYTHING IN THE PARKING LOT and do not leave without making sure it is what it's supposed to be. TWO: Multiple times website glitches caused my bids to go sky high as I hit the "bid" button over and over when it appeared to be frozen with no update of my bid whatsoever -- I even took a video showing the problem. It said I had been outbid, but it was still listed in my "Winning" items. Later on, all of those bids were processed making the item cost more than on Amazon. I phoned customer service and they said they KNOW there was an issue but the IT dept is off for the weekend. So, I pay out of pocket to cancel the item and their website still isn't fixed... til who knows when... BEWARE - read the other reviews. I use humor to describe just how Fraudulent this company has evolved. Everyone stealing money and the customers are getting screwed. I managed to speak to three members of the leadership team including the owner and every one of my correspondence shows that this company is led by a gang of creeps. I guess I was way too annoying and aware for Their operation.
