Dantanmen Ramen with unagi(bbq eel) and yaya dark nova coconut milk stout.

This is a fairly new Ramen house in Spokane that I highly recommend. The food is very tasty, flavorful and delicious. The service is just as excellent as the food. This place is not very big, so for its size it is very busy and I recommend you make reservations even if it's for just one. The ambiance is very chill with dim lighting but the atmosphere is live with tons of smiles, music and conversations amongst all in the restaurant. If you like ramen this is a must try and if you're lucky anime it might be playing on the wall off of a projector.

Nekojita Ramen - Recent visit #2. Another incredible meal and evening at Nekojita Ramen. What outstanding food, good times, and service. The crowd and staff were having fun! We enjoyed the vibe!

Had reservations and when we arrived was told we needed to wait since our table was not available. Waited 10 minutes until we were seated. The atmosphere was great and the place was busy! Kaarage was nice and seasoned well. I did not care for the remoulade sauce that was placed under the chicken pieces. Looked sloppy! Ordered the golden gai. The pork was sliced into cubes and was meaty. The egg was delicious! The ramen noodles to broth ratio was lacking. This is NOT your typical ramen broth. If you are into beef broth, then this is the dish for you. It simply lacked the umami I was looking for. The serving size was decent. Also, there are à la carte options you can add to your ramen at a $$. Server was nice and attentive. A definite plus! Overall, it was great to try a new place but likely won't return.

Went for dinner right when they opened at 5pm. They squeezed us in as we did not have a reservation. I would highly recommend a reservation if you would like to come here as the place is on the smaller side. The service was awesome and everyone was very friendly. I got the dantanmen ramen and it was okay. I wish the broth had more flavor and depth to it. The noodles were good, and had a nice bite to them like ramen noodles should have. We also got the sake b&b pickles and those were very good and I would order it again. We got their kah-rah-ah-geh chicken and that was very well cooked and the sauce they had with it was good. The ambiance is nice and it is a smaller restaurant that makes it feel more cozy.

Get the Waygu Ramen. So good.

Every contact I've had with Grain Shed employees has been more than pleasant; they truly seem to enjoy working there, and take good care of their customers. I need to shout out to Toby and Audrey before I go on. They each provided 110% on customer service, being personable and making sure we left happy. On 2 separate trips to Spokane, I've visited the Grain Shed 3 and 4 times over the course of 3 days (yes, if you do the math, I went twice in 1 day, and the restaurant was NOT just around the corner!) Everything I've tried is delish, but in case you have to limit yourself, I highly recommend the OG, the beets and feta toast, the bread flight with sauces and cheese, the molasses ginger cookie, and maybe a chocolate croissant. I've heard their bread pudding and pumpkin pie (holiday special) are out of this world! I tried to get over to listen to their live music before leaving town, but still need to squeeze that into my schedule. Travelers: save space in your luggage for a loaf of bread. Sadly, no shipping at this time, but I'm waiting for it! This SoCal resident is officially The Grain Shed's #1 fan. I dare any of you to try to take away my title!

The Grain Shed does a farm to table model and is a bakery and brewery. I got a snack here along with a beer and left quite satisfied. I got a Grilled Cheese Sandwich on some of their house made bread with some Cheddar, Swiss and Provolone cheese. The exact name for this sandwich is the Cheesy Toastie. And of course moving on to the beer... the primary motivator to come here. I got the Kölsch beer here called Field Trip. I do love a good Kölsch as they are nice, light bodied beers. And they are especially nice in the summertime. Flavor features in this beer is maltiness, breadiness, a bit of hoppiness and a dry finish. Another beer that Steve and I tried was the INWPA which was a Pale Ale. It was also a nice light bodied beer which again hit the spot despite it being a different drinking session. Flavor characteristics in this beer is citrus, a yeastiness, hoppiness and a biscuity trait. Good beers and sandwiches and we are aiming for a return whenever we are in Spokane again.
